Nigeria will continue to decline in terms of advancement in Science, technology and engineering AS LONG AS THEY CONTINUE TO POST NYSC ENGINEERING and SCIENCES STUDENTS TO PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS WHEN WE AV GRADUATE OF COLLEGES OF EDUCATION AND STUDENTS WHO STUDY SPECIAL COURSES.. and they keep posting medical students to hospital..... WHY IS OURS DIFFERENT... do they think all the stress we went through in school is not enough for us to gain the practical experience? Do they think we are of no use in the country. Only the medical students are important to thr nation. How can i spend my 5yrs in school studying UNIT OPERATION, ENGINEERING ANALYSIS, THERMODYNAMICS, FLUID MECHANICS, POLYMER SCIENCE, INSTRUMENTATION, PROCESS DESIGN, FOOD TECHNOLOGY, FLUID DYNAMICS, CORROSION AND MATERIAL SCIENCE, HEALTH SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT, PLANT MAINTENANCE, STEAM ENGINE ETC.. cracking my head every night to under stand nth differential equation, navier stokes equation, fugacity, lee/kesler,entropy enthalpy, advanced differential equation, critical temperature, boltzmann constant, henry constant, gipps energy, isothermal compressibility, mathematics of modelling and simulation, strength í ½í²ª of a material, etc. Just to mention buh a few... Writing laboratory report from practical done every blessed week! Trying to understand various laws which i numerous... Stressing my two eyes to illustate various tables and graph í ½í³... All this to equip me with the necessary skill for me to be of benefit to the nation... And the first thing they will do to appreciate me is to dump me into a one school that should be occupied by those who went to colleges and universities of education. After spending one year teaching yoruba, mathematics, physics chemistry etc, will that equip me with the practical experience? Please let give what belong to ceaser to ceaser and what belong to engineering students to engineering, students, sciences to sciences, education to education, health to health, admin /management to admin/management, art to art, social to social... #myopinion #sadmood |

Crime / For The Voiceless Nigerian Student by onibaba01(m): 7:54am On Jul 09, 2015 |
...........VOIC4DHELPLESS ............ It as been brought to our notice that the top officials of Industrial Training Funds (ITF) has liaised with some other governmental bodies to defraud Nigerian Youths of their rights. It's the right of any student of higher institutions in Nigeria who as successfully completed his/her Industrial Training (I.T) or Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) to be entitled to a sum not less than Fifteen thousand naira (#15,000). But it is a known fact that students are been deprived of their right over the years as top officials of ITF put this money in their own private account and fix it to appreciate or attract interest for a period not less than 2years. Students across the country are already used to this system/pattern of cheat not until recently time when our team detected that students who had their I.T/SIWES done year 2012 would not be benefiting from this payment again as the money apportioned for their payment as been embezzled. It never occurred to us to react earlier to this not until we carried out our investigations and saw that set ...2009, 2010, 2011 has been paid long ago while 2012 was skipped only for the payment to proceed to 2013 set who already started receiving alerts early this month. Let us all together in once voice use our power which is the social media to tell them we don't want cheating and that stealing at the expense of all must stop. Let them pay all embezzled money. Efforts are going on to inform ICPC and EFCC on this matter. Please do your part as a good citizen of this nation Nigeria by sending this message to every youth, students, corpers, ex-corpers, parents, government officials, etc. on your contact.
