Crime / Re: 4Sale And Haraj Apps Used By Arabs To Buy African Slaves Uncovered By BBC by Onitola2: 12:00pm On Nov 10, 2019
philip0906:
This is sad. While I do not want to be aligned along religious lines, I have met and seen Muslims here in Nigeria who don't see anything wrong with enslaving women as well as sexual attraction to young and underage girls.

You will have to understand that these ideologies are enshrined in the Koran and these guys are just practicing what their Koran says (though there are quite a handful of "liberals" who do not wholeheartedly follow these laid down tenets in the Koran)
when d Quran was revealed, the whole world were doing d slavery business, but there are many instances in Islamic law whereby ur punishment is to free a slave, when d world decided against slavery now, did d Muslims go against it? Y will we judge an organization because of what some are doing secretly, many of those that traffic people for slavery are not Muslims, they're trafficking girls to all over the world, not just to Arab countries.... It's funny that whenever we see any chance to abuse 1 religion, we grab it without hesitation.

I BLAME NOT THE GOVERNMENT FOR THE RECENT INCREASE IN CRIME AND ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES IN NIGERIA. THE GOVERNMENT ALL OVER THE WORLD NEVER HAS THE INTERESTS OF THE PEOPLE AT MIND.

WHO DO I BLAME? THE RELIGIOUS BODIES. A LARGE PERCENTAGE OF THE POPULACE HAS AN AFFILIATION TO A RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATION. ON FRIDAYS OUR MUSLIMS BROTHERS GO TO MOSQUES IN THE SAME VEIN, THE CHRISTIANS ON SUNDAY DO CHURCH.

OUR RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATIONS IN RECENT HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT PROSPERITY WITHOUT WORKING, SUCCESS WITHOUT SACRIFICE, WHICH IS IN SHARP CONTRAST FROM THE TEACHINGS OF CHRIST OR MOHAMMED.

AS LONG YOU BRING IN MONEY TO INTO THE COFFERS OF THE RELIGIOUS BODIES; YOU'RE BLESSED; WHICHEVER WAY YOU GET THE MONEY ISN'T THE ISSUE TO BE GIVING A THOUGHT.
yes, but parents are to blame as well, parents used to care about where their kids are getting money from b4, now nobody cares anymore, just bring money, omo to mowo dele, lobi a yin. Even the girls are much mannerless nowadays, they force many guys into bad decisions to get money.

Crime / Re: Ten Soldiers Killed, Nine Injured In Jihadist Ambush by Onitola2: 5:37pm On Nov 07, 2019
discusant:
Ambush?

Boko Haram says it's fighting for a Nigeria to be governed by Islamic Sharia Criminal laws;,
the same laws like cutting the hands of thieves, stoning to death women for adultery, death for apostasy, etc, etc. adopted by the 12 Northern Nigeria states since 1999 when an unbeliever, Olusegun Obasanjo, emerged Nigeria's president.

Ambush? The difference between Boko Haram fighters and millions of Moslems in northern Nigeria is like the difference between six and half a dozen.

RIP to dead soldiers fighting a lost battle
and are there no Christians in the states that use the Islamic law? Are they killing them? , judging majority by acts of minority isn't wise, or have u ever seen a Muslim that supports bh? Many countries see 9ja as fraud and corrupt country, does that mean it's Nigeria teaching us fraud because few of us are doing it? The bh are killing Muslims as well, so the fight is everyone's duty.

Politics / Re: Army Probes Soldiers For Torturing Terrorist To Death by Onitola2: 8:16am On Nov 05, 2019
GistMore10:
The Nigerian Army has said it is investigating and will sanction soldiers caught on a video torturing a suspected Boko Haram terrorist to death at a location believed to be in the North-East geopolitical zone.

A video showing some army personnel torturing and killing a suspected Boko Haram member has been circulating on the social media for some days now.

In the video, the soldiers after killing the victim buried the corpse in a shallow grave.

But the acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Sagir Musa, in a release on Monday, said Nigerians would be briefed on the outcome of the investigations.

He said, “The attention of the army has been drawn to a video reportedly showing some army personnel engaged in unprofessional torture and above all extrajudicial killing of a suspected Boko Haram terrorist likely in the North-East theatre of operation.

“The army strongly condemns the action of those involved (whoever they may be) in the misconduct, and that the dastardly act is completely unacceptable and unethical. The army’s training; rules of engagement and standing operating procedures guiding the conduct of all its operations are unambiguous about human rights abuses and extrajudicial actions including the rights of the arrested or captured terrorists and combatants.

“Troops in the various theatres of operations in Nigeria have been consistently warned to desist from rights’ infractions of any form no matter the amount of desperation, anger or provocation. The army does not license, encourage or condone indiscipline, unprofessional conduct especially extrajudicial execution of suspects or combatants.

“Where ever such is noticed or reported, once it is confirmed, appropriate decisive sanction or punishment is usually immediately meted out to the perpetrators and this case would never be an exception.

“Accordingly, on seeing the gory video, the army has commenced a thorough investigation to apprehend the culprits with a view to dealing with them in accordance with the extant military justice system. Members of the public will surely be informed of the results of the actions taken so far.”

Was it because he travelled round d world that he developed his country? U say Saudi has petrol. Does Nigeria not have petrol. How did buhari change perspective? Is it by travelling to Saudi that he is changing perspective
its simple, we both agree that Saudi is by far more developed than us, He went there for a summit, don't u think that we need foreign investors here? I said it earlier that we always need as much help as we can get, because we have petrol doesn't mean we can sustain ourselves, even if you're rich, u still have to reach out to others to keep ur self blooming. He didn't go to Saudi only, y are u obsessed with Saudi?

When will you take a stand against oil importation? You have oil, yet you have to take it outside Nigeria to be refined and then buy back the refined products.

When will you take a stand against weapon importation? Begging USA and Russia up and down.

When will you take a stand against importation of phones and laptops?

Everyone just talking about rice.
dangote will soon finish his refinery
We can't produce weapons, laptops and phones yet (mind you, very few countries produce them anyway)
But I'm 100% sure we can produce our food.

we need them more than they need us, when the sheikh of Dubai was traveling around then to tie themselves with other countries, people were laughing that nobody would invest in a desert and Islamic country coz it won't attract tourists, we both know d outcome. Saudi has petrol and people visit them throughout d world. 9ja is clearly not where we want/need but at least PMB is trying to get all the help we can. Many countries see us as a fraudsters country, He had to change their perspective on it.

Won't work for all lecturers.

1. LECTURERS FROM FACULTY OF LAW HAVE TO PRACTICE LAW FULL TIME OR THEY WON'T BE ABLE TO TEACH TO THE BEST STANDARD.

2. LECTURERS FROM MEDICAL FACULTIES HAVE TO PRACTICE MEDICINE FULL TIME FOR THEM TO TEACH MEDICAL STUDENTS.

3. THIS APPLIES TO PHARMACY AS WELL

4. IF ENGINEERING WAS A "PRACTICAL" COURSE IN NIGERIA, IT WOULD BE UNDER SAME CATEGORIES.

RULE WILL WORK ON ALL THOSE SOCIOLOGY LECTURERS.
I don't agree with u on this, practicing or updating ur self through research is different from working for multiple institutions (they do it only for money), there'll be no commitment and they're seizing another people's job.

its not about compensating them, it's about them asking for far too much
