Career / Bank PO And Clerk Facing Immense Work Pressure After Demonetization by Onlinelearner: 12:29pm On Nov 18, 2016
Banks are extremely professional organizations with the motive to serve their customers with utmost priority. Working with banks comes in handy but also stressful at times.
India has a large customer base for banking services which is growing enormously. To handle this mob, banking personnel have to work their fingers to the bones.
In today's scenario, bank employees are snowed under with the exchange of higher denomination notes that are no longer legal tender by government of India.

Withdrawal of Legal Tender Status for ₹ 500 and ₹ 1000 Notes came into effect after 8th November 2016, when the prime minister Narendra Modi, addressing to the nation announced cancellation of legal tender character of higher denomination currency notes.

Banking staff is facing immense pressure afterward, as this demonetization become operable when there is a booming season of weddings. People have pending bills and have to make ends meet. There is a long queue of people outside banks, post offices and ATMs.

News of people being troubled and indisposed is in air. But no one is looking at the other side of the coin, which is: Immense work pressure on bank PO and Clerks.

Those who joined banks this year in April allotment are in their probation period. They are working extra long hours with other bank employees as well. Any announcement of reimbursement for extra-working hours is not made by RBI or Govt. of India. To deal with cash rush, retired bank staff is to be hired by banks.

Some of the bank employees are feeling overwhelmed with various issues they are facing. Work load, women employees safety, conveyance are few things that needs immediate attention.

Government has praised the efforts and hard work of banking fraternity. But bank employees across the nation have been spending stressful days and sleepless nights. Owing to the stress, banking staff is suffering from cardiac arrest, paralytic attack and many more fatal problems.

What is making their work more callous and hard is: distressed and angry customers. They are frustrated and keep pouring it on the personnel. But ultimately this demonetization drive has taken a toll on bankers for sure. Let's meet our hands to cooperate with banking staff and make this campaign against black money a remarkable incident in the history of Indian economy.
