I'm sorry but you come off as very stewpid person. Enjoy your palm oil.
I’m sorry but You sound stupid and dumb. We’ve been talking about the Mobil 1 since couple of days ago and nobody ever insult anyone but you open your disgusting mouth to pass an insult. Next time You can make your point clear without insults.

My G, no need to further engage them to derail the thread.
Most of them commenting don't know either how importation works or how jumia promotion sales work, and that's just it.
I have gotten items for half the market price even from official stores on jumia thanks to promotion.

I literally gave a free insight on mini importation and how to make money shipping in stuffs from U.S.
"Nobody is importing mobil1 for 40k and selling for same 40k just because they like the smell of oil or its a hobby" it's Business, and I have no issue with that as people have different cost price which then equates to different selling price.
Some looking for 5k profit per bottle while some looking for 15k profit per bottle.

Like I said, if you get the oil and your mechanic confirms something is fishy about it, you can contact jumia and they'll have it picked up and sent to their expert team for authentication, (not back to seller).
Though I’ll advise you to go to a service center for the oil change, as they are experts in oil change.
Thank you so much

Dollar was exchanging for 700 naira in November 2022. So you're essentially saying that the seller bought the oil since November 2022. Let's even agree with you.

700*$26 is N18,200. He shipped it into the country, cleared it, transported it from the port to wherever he is based, added his profit, paid jumia commission, paid to transport it to Jumia warehouse and is now selling for N20,000. Does any of this make any sense to you?

There's a reason some of us have never been scammed. We can smell scams from a thousand mile away.

You just remind me of those who even in the face of obvious red flags like this, continued to make sense of MMM and MBA Forex.

Here we are today.

if you check previous post you see onyeka90210 have explained everything about the shipping process and why it was cheaper on jumia due to promotions and discounts.

@#1,005, to $1

Ordinary 20w50 mobil 4 litres is 11-12k
its the promotions (discount) that makes Mobil 1 5W30 looks cheaper on jumia

Onyeka90210:

You can't order from mobil1 Nigeria, you can only walk into any of their filling station franchise to get one.
Which is technically the same as ignoring ikeja phone vendors selling Samsung and walking into Samsung Nigeria store to buy a phone.
You'll technically be paying more,as it can never be cheaper than what's sold outside but the extra cost comes with peace of mind.
Like I made mention earlier, outside there's competition and the oil will be definitely sold cheaper than what's its sold at the the outlet, the oil is sold 28k to 35k in the market, direct from importers. While the Mobil1 outlet sells for 40_43k.
Then jumia comes in with price slashes, that's why I made mention of going for the ones with price slash.
You'll hardly see anyone sell that oil above 35k in a competitive market.
Same time you can hop on jiji to get from importers and top end sellers with high customer feedbacks and solid reputation.
You can also buy from the bosses on here with reputation as well,
Summary is that the one from jumia works fine, it's the promotions (discount) that makes it look cheap.

I understand everything you said. it's the promotions (discount) that makes it look cheap on jumia .

Bruh, that stuff is 26$, don’t let them pressure you.
You asked if it was okay, and as a regular user, I’m telling you it’s good, if it had reduced me or other people’s engine efficiency, trust Nigerians the page would be filled with negative reviews. You can even see reviews from 2022.
I for don personally create Nairaland thread warning people.
You can’t compare people that ship in and stock up over 5k units once a year to these guys that ship only about 20 to 50 units monthly.
I did buy straight U.S before switching to jumia and I’m telling you it’s the same one with the yankee own.
Nigeria does not produce Mobil1.
No one has justified why an item of 26$ is 43k
Asides that’s mobil Nigeria price tag.
It will always be costlier at the Naija outlet
E.G
Samsung Nigeria sells brand new s22 for 500k
But one sharp gadget importer from ikeja selling same Samsung s22 from US brand new for 400k
Na fake?
Likewise if your mind is not still settled, you can return that one you ordered and buy from mobil1 Nigeria direct.
I’ll just advice you to make sure your engine is healthy and slug free before using.
thanks so much for your in input I clearly understand everything you said. How can I ordered fo Mobil 1 Nigeria direct

You are right about this too.

Now I fully understand what onyeka90210 is trying to explain yesterday. The price of Mobil 1 5W30 on Amazon goes for $26. Price of the Mobil 1 5W30 stays the same almost every time on Amazon and if changes maybe it rise with like 2 to 3 dollars and sometimes the price comes lower too.. it naira that is going up. People selling for 20k might have stuck it in when the rate was like 700 to a dollar like he said. Even currently now with the high dollar rate to naira it will still be cheaper cause let say a dollar is 1k in naira now that 26k. And Mobil filling stations told me 40,500

Something does not seem right. Even if the oil sells for $26 and it was bought when the rate was 700, no one will sell a fast moving product like mobil 1 at a loss in the name of promo. Not even when the exchange rate is now over a thousand. How exactly is he planning to restock?

The fact you've been using it without issues means nothing. Engines don't die overnight.

Scanning the code won't help you as well, you're only wasting your time. I have been told that empty gallons of Mobil 1 is in high demand.

I will rather buy 20w50 from a reputable mobil station and change the oil as frequently as I can than buy Mobil 1 that cost 20k.

This is the comment of people that bought it recently you can check the date. But for me as well it seems very cheap. Exactly why I was afraid to order it in the first place but when I saw those comments I had to feel relaxed but still a little bit anxious about it after ordering it.

It’s same price but it’s for the 5w 20 extended performance
Was 25k slashed to 20k
No need to panic or anything
Once you get the one you ordered and it’s somehow or your mechanic does not approve it and has proof that it’s not the real deal, you can report back to jumia if it’s still sealed you’ll be eligible for a return or refund.
Thank you so much I really appreciate but there is no way I can ask for refund if unfortunately the oil is somehow cause my mechanic would have unsealed for him to take a look at how the oil is..The only thing we can do without unsealing the oil is to scan the code. Anyway when it delivered I let you know how everything goes.

Alright, that's fine as well.
Once you get it you can scan the small barcode infront or back using scantrust app to check authenticity and also have your mechanic check it out before using.
Just remember to change the oil and filter at
After 5-7k miles.

Yes thank you I will do as you said . This rating you just uploaded how much is the price you see there please ?
The one I order is the one I just uploaded the pics of the rating tonight and it goes for 20k

Like I said earlier, get the ones with customer ratings and feedbacks,
I always get the one with price slash (promo)
The thing is that most of those jumia ads are from people that stocked their warehouse when the dollar was still below N700 and still have left in stock, they can't change the price "significantly" if the items are still in stock.
But the average Nigerian market place increase price with regards to current dollar rate not the rate at which they got it for.
Hence the (5-10k) difference between the prices.
Have already order it on jumia. I got the one with recent customer rating and feedbacks

It’s 100% safe, I always get my synthetic 5w 20 from jumia, has been working fine and I authenticated before use, as I did ship them in before switching to jumia.
Forget the Nigerian market value, they add their profit untop and then the exchange rate, but I understand that's how business works.
But the oil is about $25 generally. If you want to buy it
From mobil1 direct, it’s best to check online, then they’ll give you a link to the stores that have them available, image from walmart, Amazon and eBay below.
An then remember jumia runs promotions (price slash).
Just buy from the jumia ads that already has reviews or ratings.
But I don’t know where you’re seeing for 40k
It’s usually 30k Ish, give or take 5k

I was afraid cause Mobil filling stations said the price is 41,500 and I saw 20,000 on jumia. I was wondering why the price is very cheap on jumia. That why I had to ask.
Is it safe to buy on jumia please?

Please I don’t know if anyone have bought Mobil 1 5W30 advance full synthetic on Jumia before. I don’t know if it safe to buy on jumia. Price for Mobil 1 5W30 advanced full synthetic on jumia is 20,000, why at Mobil filling stations they told me 40,500. I’m afraid I don’t want to ruin my car engine.
