You called it a lie? I have heard this for more than once.

It surprises me these days that some women are said to ask a man that proposes to them if his mother is alive or not, but I wonder if they would take it from any girl that asks their brothers such a question hoping to hear negative answers.
But my question here is, why is it like this? Is it that every mother-in-law hates and bewitch their daughter-in-law? Or is it that some women nowadays have lost relationship characters and feel like living without a mother-in-law is the solution?
