The budget passed on Wednesday by the Senate and the House of Representatives was 17 billion Naira lower than the figure of 6.07 trillion Naira presented by President Muhammadu Buhari to the National Assembly in December.


Earlier it was Reported that the budget was missing, then there were reports that it was doctored, then padded and finally the National Assembly admitted that the budget was filled with inconsistencies.

1. Over-Promising And Under-Delivering
You made an implied promise when you accepted your job. You implicitly promised that you were capable of fulfilling all of the job’s responsibilities. Even when you are qualified, telling your boss you’re making great progress when you aren’t or committing to a deadline you know you can’t meet makes you look bad. 2. Negativity
You were hired to make your boss’ and your team’s jobs easier, not harder. People who constantly spread negativity through their department, complain about others, and whine that the work’s too hard or isn’t part of their job description complicate things for everyone else. Those who make their boss’ life harder are usually the first ones to go. Having to tiptoe around you so as not to dislodge that massive chip on your shoulder isn’t something he or she is likely to be willing to do for very long.

3. Solicitation
Whether you’re sending out emails inviting co-workers to your party or hanging up an order form for your child’s school fundraiser, you could be violating company policy. Don’t assume that you’re in the clear just because other people are doing it—this type of policy violation is what managers hang their hats on when they’re unhappy with an employee’s performance.

4. A Lack Of Emotional Intelligence
Everyone knows that you can get fired for being unable or unwilling to play nicely with others, but what trips up a lot of people is having a poorly developed poker face. If everyone can tell when you’re bored or irritated or that you think something a colleague is saying is stupid, this will catch up with you. Emotional outbursts, belittling others, shutting co-workers down when they speak, and just generally being a jerk are other ways a lack of emotional intelligence will leave you looking for work.

Social media and instant messaging applications Facebook and Whatsapp will no longer be available to users of Blackberry, Nokia and Windows phones by the end of 2016.

Whatsapp, an instant messaging application owned by Facebook, was the first to make the announcement after it celebrated the seventh year of it’s existence in February.

“When we started WhatsApp in 2009, people’s use of mobile devices looked very different from today. The Apple App Store was only a few months old. About 70 percent of smartphones sold at the time had operating systems offered by BlackBerry and Nokia,” the Whatsapp blog reported.

“Mobile operating systems offered by Google, Apple and Microsoft – which account for 99.5 percent of sales today – were on less than 25 percent of mobile devices sold at the time.

“As we look ahead to our next seven years, we want to focus our efforts on the mobile platforms the vast majority of people use. So, by the end of 2016, we will be ending support for WhatsApp Messenger on the following mobile platforms: Blackberry (including Blackberry 10), Nokia S40, Nokia Symbian S60, Android 2.1 and Android 2.2,Windows Phone 7.1.

“While these mobile devices have been an important part of our story, they don’t offer the kind of capabilities we need to expand our app’s features in the future. This was a tough decision for us to make, but the right one in order to give people better ways to keep in touch with friends, family, and loved ones using WhatsApp.

“If you use one of these affected mobile devices, we recommend upgrading to a newer Android, iPhone, or Windows Phone before the end of 2016 to continue using WhatsApp.”

In a statement released by the company, Blackberry said it is ‘extremely disappointed in Facebook’s decision as they know so many users love these apps”.

“We fought back to work with WhatsApp and Facebook to change their minds, but at this time, their decision stands.

“Despite this, we have worked hard to ensure our end users have the best experience in light of this decision, and are continuing to search for alternate solutions.”

The company encouraged users to let Facebook know how they feel on the social media.
However, Blackberry has provided alternatives for users to move to the web-based version of Facebook.

“As of March 31st, 2016 BlackBerry smartphone users will have to perform an update for the BlackBerry Facebook application in order to continue using Facebook.

“Those wishing to continue using Facebook are encouraged to move to the web-based experience which will provide the most feature rich alternative.”

The accident occoured in the early hours of Tuesday, March 22 at a bend at Ohono village located on the busy road. 6 people have been confirmed dead whereas 10 persons sustained varying degrees of injuries.

The sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr Ogochukwu Ugboma confirmed the tragic incidence. He said the Dangote truck collided with a J5 bus and revealed that four persons were unhurt.

Ugboma said that traffic control was ongoing at the bend to avoid disruption to vehicular movement. He speculated the accident may have been caused by the bad weather and the state of the road. He said the injured were taken to the Federal Medical Centre in Lokoja for treatment while those that passed away were put in the hospital morgue.

According to eyewitness reports, the unfortunate incidence was caused by the driver of the commercial vehicle who was driving against traffic perhaps to avoid the traffic on his own lane. The driver was reportedly slammed head-long into a trailer on the expressway.

2. 2face & Annie Idibia Sued For N120 Million; A photographer, Emmanuel Okolo, has dragged singer 2Face Idibia, his wife Annie, and one Antonio Anifite before a Federal High Court in Lagos.
The case is a N120 million copyright infringement suit ‎for allegedly using photographs he took of them at their traditional wedding in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State in 2013, without giving him credit as the owner of the photos.

3. Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has said President Muhammadu Buhari must be held responsible for the violence and loss of lives in the highly violent elections in Rivers state. Fayose said Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), are emboldened to unleash violence on the people of the state and other states in Nigeria.

4. The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has suspended all electoral processes regarding the re-run parliamentary elections in Rivers state. The electoral umpire also said it is in receipt of the results of nine state constituencies and one federal constituency in which rerun elections were held over the weekend in the state.

5. Power situation in Nigeria no longer laughing matter – President Mohammadu Buhari on Monday woke up to the realities of epileptic power supply in Nigeria, saying that the situation was no longer funny. Should the situation persisits, the president said it would seriously affect the change agenda of the present administration.
6. Senate, House To Begin Debate On PIB Next Week - Saraki. The Senate And The House Of Representatives Will Commence Debate Of The Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) By Laying It In Their Respective Chambers Next Week, As A Demonstration Of The Synergy Existing Between Both Chambers Of The National Assembly.

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has expressed confidence in the current security measures by the Federal and State Governments to prevent further clashes between herders and farmers in Agatu and other parts of the state. Governor Ortom who spoke shortly after he met with the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, who was in Benue State in continuation of ongoing efforts to end the crisis, said surveillance by military and mobile policemen had intensified in areas affected by the crisis.

Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Olumuyiwa Osinuga, popularly known as ‘Nomoreloss’ is Dead. The singer who was diagnosed of typhoid passed on early Monday morning death.


Born in Lagos in the 70s, Nomoreloss attended A.D.R.A.O. International School in Victoria Island for his primary and secondary education.
His growing up in the high-brow areas of Lagos, Nigeria played a great part in his appreciation of classical music as well as music of international flavour. Nomoreloss was also privileged to study the rudiments of music from one of Nigeria’s greatest instrumentalists and jazz saxophonists Kunle Ajayi.

He started out as a rapper while in high school and later on switched to master of ceremony at various events.

Also an accomplished stand-up comedian, MC, musical video director as well as a television host, he directed musical videos for artistes like Lexy Doo, Jagunlabi, Jah Borne, Cimion, Folake Umosen and was project coordinator and producer for the video CD for the controversial rapper Ruggedman’s Thy Kingdom Come album.

Nomoreloss has contributed immensely to the growth of the Nigeria’s contemporary music industry. With a fusion of R&B, Pop, Reggae and Jazz, with an underlying tone of West African Highlife, Nomoreloss create a style that is unique in its appeal but most certainly soulful in its delivery which he labeled ‘New Highlife’.
Some of his popular songs include Iyawo Asiko, Ololufe, Ojuri and So Sorry.
