See that sycophantic idiot called omojuwa. He has started his gra gra again after selling the future to the dullardic ancestor buhari in 2015 with big big grammar hoping to be appointed SSA, he's back to start another show of shame.

To the topic, I think Donald Duke has a great chance of becoming the next president if he runs his game tight though am afraid, so many youths are yet to wake up to realities because we have the power to do and undo. Zombies will not see the light in DD but in a dead man called buhari.

Donald Duke doesn't stand a chance at all; he is hoping to use this opportunity a route back into Government.

That's not factual; If Buhari is selable, Shekarau/Kwnkwaso are more than selable.
The key to defeating Buhari is stripping him of the votes in one of the population centers in the North. I.e Kano or Kaduna.

Kwankwaso/Shekarau

If Kwankwaso decides to contest on APGA, PDP should field a Southerner and MB as VP.

Oratory doesn't make one a competent president. Look at his academic achievements. Dankwabo should be fine and acceptable to all.

What's so special about his Academic achievements?

What was Faleke's track record before contesting with Audu. Believe it or not, Kogi is way too complex for a novice and certainly requires an experience hand to right the ship of state.

El Rufai apparently paid Bakare a visit in Buhari's interest.

Neither El Rufai nor Bakare would go unpunished because they contributed to foisting the Dullard of Daura on Nigeria. How am i sure of this. The scripture says 'though hand join in hands, the wicked will not go unpunished'. Buhari is wicked and so are all his cronies , and the last time i checked the duo were among them.

El-Rufai/Yahaya Bello/Ganduje all believe that Buhari wouldn't make it to the primaries, hence the reason they are positioning themselves to be the anointed candidate for 2019.

Stop over-hyping this man. He may have done well in Gombe, but is certainly sure to get trounced by Buhari in the North, even the North East where he originates from. Note that the largest voting bloc in the NE lies in Borno State where Buhari's reputation is at an all time high, so I really can't see how Dankwambo expects to gain further inroads there.

If Buhari is on the ballot, only a candidate from Kano has what it takes to send him back to Daura.
Politics / Re: 2019: Kano Could Have A Shock In Store For Buhari by OnucheAdams: 2:44pm On Jan 03, 2018
Obasanjo was an establishment carried everyone along, including the opposition which was why he lasted two terms. Yaradua on the other hand marginalized a section of the elites and we all know how he ended up. Jonathan turned his Govt into an Ijaw affair, and the rest they say is history. Buhari on the other hand has not only run a sectional Government, but has also alienated a core group of individuals responsible for his success at the polls -- the elites. I don't know how he intends to succeed, but it's getting clearer by the day that the elites, politicians and Nigerians are tired of having the likes of Maman Daura shape the Country's agenda. My prediction is that Buhari may not even make it past the APC Primaries....

A kwankwaso might deliver Kano but no where else. Kwankwaso will be too caustic in the south, the guy is younger and more bigoted than buhari. As for Atiku, Dakwanbo will deliver Gombe doubt if Atiku will be able able to deliver Adamawa... 2019 is not just about viting out Buhari but voting a more positive and promising candidate as it stands I think Dakwanbo is shoulder high compare to other Northern candidates...ultimately why is PDP pushing for Northern candidates that are relying in southern votes to defeat Buhari? Why not use southerner against Buhari, why cant Ibos bring reliabe and clean candidates that will be acceptable accross board in the south?

Well don't rule out the option of a Southern Candidate, being paired up with a candidate from the BB, especially if the likes of Kwankwaso decide to contest on a different platform.
Politics / Re: 2019: The Case For Governor Dankwambo by OnucheAdams: 9:05pm On Jan 01, 2018
Ratello:

You got the whole picture clearly. Dankwambo is no political heavyweight and I don't see him slugging anything out against a Buhari. He lacks the political experience and finesse with national clout so a Dankwambo will be a walk over for Mallam Buhari only Atiku can engage him for now if he (Atiku) emerges as PDP flagbearer

Indeed, Dankwambo may appear to be more competent than Buhari, but certainly lacks the political gravitas to challenge him at the polls. What's required to defeat Buhari is a someone with populist credentials for one of his strongholds of Kano/Kaduna. Note that the existing pattern is as such that potential winners of the Presidential Election must win 2 out of the 3 big States of Kano, Lagos and Rivers. As things stand, Buhari will be happy to concede Rivers; Lagos is 50/50; while Kano is Buhari's version of Rivers. However, if you throw in a Kwankwaso/Shekarau, Buhari in my opinion is toast....

Politics / Re: Nigeria’s Foreign Reserves Grow To $36.9b by OnucheAdams: 12:28am On Dec 18, 2017
bigpicture001:
..am genuinely sorry about those insults...now lemme explain..when a nation creates it's budget like Nigeria where all natural resources is owned by the Central govt.and where 98% of national income comes from sale of proceed from this resource ; oil.govt tend to fix an estimated price which it hopes to seel it crude tru out that year.and if aggressive by the national assembly the price is called a benchmark..now when the financial year begins and govt finds the price of crude rise above the statutory agreed price of the oil price..they remove the revenue acrued by the stipulated at nd the excess of it is saved for the country in a foreign acct..that is what forms majority of this foreign reserve fund..this fund can be used to fund a deficit budget as approved by the senate or the executive. now wen the country is in dire need for money, either cause of huge fall in the price of oil: nigeria's mainstay in the economy or there is a sudden need to beef up security. like that threat us sherd by boko haram..nd when the budget can fund such projects..the executive initiate a plan to dip hand into this fund to defend the nation, just like buhari recently announced..renember Jonathan ruled 6years nd fought the worst wars against a very dangerous boko haram through out his tenure..hence the depletion of the fund.now let's talk about recession..when recession sets in in a an economy, it's because there exist a very damaging lack of confidence existed by the consumers on the availability of money supply..this lack of confidence breeds decreased spending habit nd hence drastically lowers the nation's aggregate demand, which in turn slows down production nd hence leads to layoff if workers..when buhari cane on board,he halted all govt fiscal spending for too long nd at the same time introduced massive tax policies to soak up all the funds in the system to govt, without flowing in new funds. there gradually exist is ted fear of very serious scarcity of money, hence the panic nd aggregate demand shrunk to it lowest nd hence called recession..you might want to say that govt revenue drop ed cuz of low oil price,so the hv nothing to spend on fiscal stabilisation. but hey,who stops govt from borrowing, or use some part of the reserve fund..never! instead the govt minister made a mistake of trying to internally self fund the country to attain growth..that was a mistake..that was y there were lots of suffering and suicide. the govt indirectly caused all dox death...

Why waste your time educating these chaps? Anyone giving Buhari credit for taking us out of recession doesn't have a clear understand of how we got into it in the first place. But for his silly actions within his first 6 months in office, we would have experienced a scale down in economic activities, but certainly not to the level of getting into a depression...

funny guy. if he floated the naira then it will go as high as 700/800 at least!!!

No way; as at the time Jonathan handed over, the IMF was estimating that despite the drop in oil prices, the Naira would have held forth at circa 300/usd. The spike to 500 was due to heightened uncertainty brought about by policy seesaw, made worse by the actions of currency speculators.

but when the FG refused to give forex subsidies and the naira went to over 500naira per dollar you were wailing about government inaction? now the government is keeping the naira around 360 and you are still complaining. oga o

I was - and is still - an advocate for floating the Naira. Had Buhari towed that path, the Naira certainly wouldn't have ballooned to 500, and would have found its level at circa 300. The spike in exchange rate was due to the heightened uncertainty brought about by inconsistent Government policies, which further created room for speculators...

The amounts spent subsidizing the Dollar should have gone towards building sustainable infrastructure....

What's the correlation between foreign reserves and development, if any?
You claim to have a stash of funds in reserves, yet you are embarking on mindless borrowing to fund infrastructure in tandem with unneeded FOREX subsidies; who's fooling who here?

Hate him, despise him or even love him if u care. That man Peter Obi is an enigma, the best Anambra state governor as at today. If this country is sane by now troops of human beings/political parties should be converging in his home and begging him to contest for 2019 presidential election instead of the likes of Atiku and Tambuwal of this world. Let me go to bed playing this song by David Ruffin, Haiti/Nigeria I am sorry.

He is finished politically; if he had backed Obiano, he'd be in pole position to be the PDP's flag bearer VP nominee.
