Good morning all and congratulations to everyone who recieved ITA yesterday.

My unsolicited advice to everyone who is awaiting ITA- if you have done everything within your power to improve your CRS score, then just patiently wait, stop holding your breathe...get busy with something else otherwise the disappointment will keep getting to you. ITA will come when it comes, and you will be thankful for it at that time.

I have personally been feeling bad because I’m on 462 right now, with my husband’s ECA we should be on 472, and to think that we paid for his transcript since July only to be told last month to request another one as it seems the first one was misplaced on the mail. We have paid for another one now which got to WES last week but I have still been very angry about it cause if the initial transcript wasn’t lost, we wld have gotten ITA since September. The anger sef was starting to affect my work...mchew

I guess I’m just trying to encourage everyone to stop feeling agitated by the whole thing...be hopeful yes but don’t put your life on pause cause of this...easier said than done I know....

You dont need to pay extra after visa fees if u dont want to.
Keep refreshing the appointment pages, earlier dates always free up as people’s travel plans change.

Ok thanks

I guess you want to go for assisted scan service of 10,000 and do walk in of 42,000.

You can just pay for assisted service and walk into VFS and pay 42,000 cos if you pick flexi and the likes, you will be paying double. Or you look for a farther free date and pick at no cost then walk in and pay 42k.

Ok thanks...

I honestly thought that asides the visa fee I was only going to pay the 10k for the assisted service and nothing more...

I am actually stocked here...
Can I just proceed to check after click on self service and I won't be making any payment to TLS and I'll just go for my appointment? If yes, where and how do I upload my documents?

And if I'm using the assisted service, whenever I click on that of the N10,000 for them to upload my documents for me, once it get to step 3 and then about to check out, I automatically see £950 super priority in my basket plus the N10,000,
Please, can I just chose the £90 and N10,000 as I don't even understand the TLS stuff at all...

I need advice on basic regular thing to do without any special premium and just go for my appointment.

Advice please... @justwise @Suuz and other Pro plz help

Hello guys....
Please we are stuck here too
After selecting tls service in step 1 and it takes me to step 3 where I have to select appointment I noticed all the time have money attached to them plus the assisted service nd it’s crazily expensive

If you are still pre AOR you might have to get a new PCC after he returns back from UK.

Really? He is staying just 2weeks...

No. You don't. PCC is for places and times where a person stayed over 6 months. Subsequent short visits don't count.
May I ask, did you get the PCC here in Nigeria? And how was it delivered? Mine is taking a lot of time.

Okay...thanks for this info..:

I used a friend’s address in the UK and he scanned it to me...

Good evening guys...

Please can someone clarify this for me

I have gotten my husband’s PCC for UK. However he will be travelling there next month for just a week. Does this mean we have to do another PCC upon his return? Or it doesn’t matter since he isn’t staying up to 6 months...

Your husband is visiting the UK without you, and you are the sponsor, first thing first, you and your husband must have work or a registered company, tax payment needs to show and reflect on paper.

I do not think investment money can be used for lesuire or holidays trip.

You have to save for your holidays and this savings comes from either your employment or your registered business.

We both have good jobs...

We save money monthly in a mutual funds account in my name hence the reason we want to use that account...we both have salary accounts diff from this

My husband is about to apply for a visiting visa...most out our money is in our investment account in my own name alone. Can he use the statement, in addition to a sponsorship letter which I will write?
Also, please what are the support documents we need to submit?
Thanks

Please can anyone help me with this question...

Please is there anyone that got reference letter from Access (Diamond) Bank? Kindly PM me; those people want to make a sister lose her salvation!!!

I did o after after plenty back and forth. The issue however is dat they don’t state salary on their letter (I can’t understand this nonsense policy), so you need to print your salary statement to back it up. This won’t be easy if you salary account was closed since 2013 like mine. They claim they can’t access the account. So I’m in a fix at this point...I have reference letter but no salary statement.....pm let’s talk so I can give you the contact

take this from someone who missed about 4 rounds of ita due to this kind of thing. go ahead and request for another transcript. do evaluation. if ita comes before then, good. but if it doesn't, you will know you too steps to increase your score and it will be worth it.
goodluck

Thanks for your advice...I will do just that

Have you tried sending WES a mail? I messaged them exactly two weeks after my uni informed me they had sent my transcript and my profile got updated the same day. I used Royal mail too so I couldn't track.

Yes I have sent WES a mail, they responded saying they haven’t recieved it...thanks

We are exactly in the same boat!
Same points. Missed last draw. Was hoping for today. We were already excited and all. Then 464!
Hubby's transcripts had issues with delivery. We already started another process and paid for another one. Thankfully, we got an update on the first one. We thought ok great, but with 462 we won't need it again. Now we have to wait for it...unless cut off drops soon tho.
You're my twinnie in this race. May God help us. Relax. We will testify. smiley

Awww really? Good to know I have a Twinnie here... thanks for the encouragement sis...

Today's score - 464!

Chai I was really expectant today o at 462, to think I missed it by tie-breaking rule last week...and this my score is without my husband’s ECA o, we requested transcript ( UK degree) to WES which was dispatched since 22nd of July and WES is still yet to recieve it ( kai my regret is using standard intl delivery(Royal Mail) which cannot be tracked, it is lost in transit somewhere. I used same delivery method for mine and didn’t have an issue with it). Now I’m confused, do I request another transcript? Even if I pay for Dhl express delivery I will still wait the 35 days for WES to evaluate, with his ECA our score will be 472. Or do I jst hold on for the next draw and hope it comes down to 462?

Some basements are purpose built for living, with sunlight in most of the living spaces and independent heat control. You'll find this mostly in new houses. There's nothing bad in this type of basement if you find one.

However, most basements are poorly lit and heating is centrally controlled. Those are the bad ones you should avoid.

Okay...

Thanks a lot

look out for a legal basement suite if you are planning to rent a basement. but if you are single you could also search for a bachelor/studio apartment. That's another affordable option

Wow...thanks a lot for the advice

To avoid complexities. Just change your passport before it expires. While waiting for your ECA, your new passport can be out too.

The problem is with the availability of booklets

Hello everyone...

Congrats to all who received ITA yesterday...I wish everyone more and more good news..

Please I have a quick question...I intend to enter the pool next week when my ECA will be ready. I will be filling out my profile with my maiden name cos that’s d name currently on my international passport. However, my passport expires in October after which I will process a new one but with my married name this time. I expect to have received ITA by then. Question is can I change the name on my profile to my married nme post ITA? I would have just applied for a new passport now and do the name change before joining the pool but there are no booklets at the moment.

Hello house i need your opinion on a particular matter,i obtained a reference letter from my organisation it contains all the necessary requirements needed for a ref letter;coy letter headed paper, hours of work, job description and all the only problem was my salary/wages wasnt wriiten, i pleaded with the HR but the feedback is not negative, i intend attaching my appointment letter that shows my salary also my job description,i just want the house to advice me if its ok to add my apppointment letter, pay slips n bank statement showing deposits of monthly salary.THANKS FOR YOUR FEEDBACK GUYS!!!

I’m in a similar situation. However in my case I have the response from HR in writing i.e email stating that they do not include salaries on their reference letter, so I’ve been advices to print that response out and attach it with the reference letter alongside my salary statement. I hope it suffices

please is there any harm if the job title in your work reference letter is similar to a particular job title in the NOC but not d same and the duties are the same. for example in the reference letter the job title is State Counsel ( Govt lawyer in simple terms) but in the Noc classification the exact term State counsel is not used.

thanks.

It doesn't matter if the job titles aren't exactly similar. What matters is that your job description is a close match with that listed on the NOC.

Perhaps you should post your job description and your intended NOC so that NOC gurus in the house can review.
