The job functions include but not limited to the following:

· In charge of teaching and learning in subject area(s).

· Prepare students to excel in internal and external examinations.

· Assess students’ performance and progress in subject(s) taught.

· Ensure adequate planning and effective delivery of lessons.

· Share effective practice with colleagues and suggest actions for improvement.

· Attend and participate in ARD, Open Day and all activities / programmes of the college as well as whole school events.

· Provide intervention for students in their subjects in school and boarding house.

· Invigilate and mark entrance examinations.

· Serve on committees or take on any additional duties as may be assigned.

· Perform any other duty assigned

Requirement

· The preferred candidate must have a minimum of a B. Ed or B.sc in History or its equivalent with PDE and TRCN.

· Must have a minimum of 3 years teaching experience.

· Must possess strong practical knowledge and skills in delivering lessons to students

· Must possess strong interpersonal skills.

· Be enthusiastic and passionate about teaching and be able to demonstrate a genuine care for young children.

· Must have good knowledge of both the British and Nigerian curricula.

· Ability to utilize technology in the teaching and learning process

The GTTP (Graduate Teacher Trainee Programme) offered by Meadow Hall is a development program for young graduates who possess a strong passion for teaching, regardless of their initial academic discipline. The programme is a 3-year trainee program that aims to train talented young graduates from all academic disciplines. The program begins with an intensive 6-week boot camp that introduces trainees to best practices in teaching and learning.
