So here is the story. I am only 2 weeks into the lease. I have paid for the apartment for the whole year including agency fees and legal and service charge which the total came to about 1.8 million naira. The apartment is located in a gated community at oba oyekan estate in the center of lekki phase 1 and so if you are familiar with this prime location I dont need to explain the value of living in lekki phase 1. Well, average Nigerian believes in superstition, miracles, voodoos, supernatural forces etc.; including graduates.
Crowed mentality - many Nigerians do or believe in things because others said or did so.

The evil and failure of the system have conditioned average Nigerian to be very inconsiderate when dealing with others.

To overcome this, don't go and live in the city when you are in Nigeria. Make sure you find yourself a place in your village, a bit away from most people.
This was exactly what I did, and I enjoy Nigeria now. I moved about 400 metres away from everyone and built myself a house with a very tall fence around it. Many people only know I am around when they see my car pass.

If you have been overseas for over 19 years like me including the academic accomplishment, t is very difficult for you to find people that think like you who live in Nigeria.
