Bro, since you have discovered what your issue with her is, it can easily be taken care of. Of course those issues can be fixed. Though while at that one should tread carefully so as not to end up hurting the psyche of your partner. You know, it's a sensitive something and not many people will see it that you're actually trying to do the best for them.

But in all, you will talk about it, you might not be the only one noticing it. But Instead of direct confrontation which might make her withdraw, use subtle teasing about her wack(don't use this word o) attires/ dressing, on a day, you might be like like, 'you're looking good today Aby, but eh, that you pencil red gown will make sense with these sneakers ' and then quickly cover the statement with another statement or compliment so it wont seem as if you're dwelling on that dress.

Also when she dresses up well, the type you like, make sure you compliment her well noticeably so it will register on her that you actually find her more attractive when she puts on a certain kind of attire.

If it's permissible, you can get her slippers perfs, soaps etc as gifts, you might say, you saw this slippers, watch etc and you felt they will feet this her so so shirt well, you can bring the gifts on special days to avoid suspicion sha... Thread carefully o. But in all, may yours work out and turn out a fruitful relationship, remember that God is the center of this romance..God bless

PS. My thoughts werent organised much forgive the poor writing
bhouze:

I have just the same problem with OP. Only your response made sense to me. At the bolded i think are the problem for me. Plus i think her hygiene practice may not be up to my standard. Please can these issues be fixed? I need your advice.
PS: we started dating nov last year And yes she's a deeper life member. Thanks

If I haven't done it, I won't be advicing it. Hard it is alright, but it is doable. The Spirit quickens our mortal bodies
Osas4lav:
Easy to say because you've not being there. I'm totally against sex before marriage. The effect though is what I don't think you fully understand. I dated a lady for 3 years without it. And like the OP said, I totally lost the desire to be intimate after the first 2 years. No response in your body even when she tries to tease you. She then began to think I had developed ED. To be honest I was scared I did. But when it ended and I met someone else, it was like magic. So I believe its the brains way of dealing with the reality being "No sex" so why bother responding. Time apart would help like someone advice and there's a big chance that after marriage it would come back. BTW something else made us breakup not the sex.

Bro I condemn every sexual act before marriage. Total abstinence
NobleSeed:
shocked winkwhat is wrong should also be condemned in totality. Didn't you read were the young man said there has been occasional kissing and romance? So romance and occasional kissing should be condone right? Food way you no eat them no dey test am.

Op sex before marriage is wrong nomatter what anybody think or say. Wrong is wrong and people being peer pressured to do it still doesn't make it right. Having agreed to her on the 'no sex' since 2019, that says you might be a Christian. Continue on that good path even with future relationships. You should also look in wards to find what may be the cause of this lack of feeling as it's definitely NOT caused by your abstinence. Maybe something about her physical appearance, scent, dressing etc might be irritating you unconsciously. Sexual attraction is very much needed in marriage.

Please respect her stand and don't coarse her into what she doesn't want to engage in due to her faith.

And then Op, this is 2021☺️ 3years since engagement, abeg do something. Una sopoz don study unasef finish and 2021 is about rounding up..

This is very helpful. I'm beginning to think my problem is psychological maybe. How do I get to contact you?. Are these toastmasters clubs affordable too?
Guest911:

Join a toastmasters club, there’s one at ikeja.
The club is for people that want to improve their vocabulary, public speaking skills, listening skills and writing skills.

Noun have study centers, find serious students and study together. But their computer science students are usually bunch of unserious students with no direction undecided might depend on study center though

You can also have 1 on 1 conversation on social discourse with me if you want.

Lastly join clubhouse, download the app. I highly recommend. It’s an audio social media platform. It’s an opportunity to argue, learn from some intelligent people

Thank you. I appreciate your feedback. And, this is what I put out cos I had an issue which is real, not here to generate a viral thread. I actually registered yesternight to ask this here. Thank you and God bless you. I hope the part time can bring about the intellectual changes I need too.
bidec6:
First, i must appreciate your resilience to study and i strongly believe that as much as you continue to strive to accomplish this nature will naturally make things work in your favour. Secondly, you write so well and have the ability to coordinate your opinion carefully and as such it makes me confused; are you truly what you claim or do you want to just generate a viral thread like most people do on this platform. If the former is true of you, then the sky is your starting point. Lastly, i want you to correct that notion that learning within the four walls of the higher institution as a full time will make you any better than those who study on part time. The world is filled with so many people who were self taught and still went on to do excellently than those who had to go through regimented systems of learning, with the recent advances in technology distance learning is the education of the future and is best we start embracing it. In my own opinion what I consider most important in learning is the will to do, once you have this it will help you to achieve so many things. Truth be told, there are some benefits attached to full time study but the bitter truth is studying part time doesn't make you of a lesser graduate than the one who studied full time. After all, we have full time students who come out of higher institution and are of no value to the system and the society at large. My hardworking Nigerian youth i will advise that if it is part time you can do that will make your academic journey worthwhile please do it with the whole of your mind and make the best out of it. God bless your efforts in Jesus Name ( Amen)

Thank you for this. If it's psychological. Any thoughts on how I can combact that. I'm seriously thinking it might be.
Edibles20:

You write so well, so well that I doubt what you wrote about just being an O’level holder, or that you can’t put words together.
Your issue might just be psychological. Self doubt, intimidations when with other graduates and all. I think this is what you can work on, by yourself. I doubt any school will give you that.
There are some interactions, or better interactions in NOUN undergraduate classes than in PG classes. Since you’ll be doing an UG course, NOUN might just be best for you in that regard. Your option is Yaba, part time, your course mates might just be old people, whose interactions you might not eve fancy too. But since you want to have a feel of the conventional school system, maybe go for the Yaba.
All the best as you make your choice.

Hello, I have a perplexing question that I've been thinking about and would need help from you folks that have had the experience. I'm an o'level student, left secondary school 6years ago and have not had chance to go to school due to finance. Now I want to enroll for part time next year, so I'm contemplating between NOUN or running a part-time in Yabatech, I want to go for computer Science, and I can't go fulltime cos I'm self sponsored and would need to be working while I study. I'm in Lagos

My issue is this, I come from a quite a primitive setting and it has affected the way I see and think about things. E.g, I can hardly put correct English words together verbally, and I'm very much intimidated in the presence of educated people. This I want to change. And It would have been better if I go to a 'normal' full time school so as to really get 'educated and civilised, and change my overall way of thinking, speaking and doing things. This I believe will come from regular and steady mingling and coming in contact with refined, educated individuals, and regularly being in a scholarly environment.

If I run a part-time program or do self study through National Open University, I might not be able to achieve this. And it's one of the major reason I want to get educated. Please any way I can get through this? Or any words you might have for me, I'd appreciate your thoughts and advice.
