MY EXPERIENCE SO FAR PART 2. I have encountered many people since I started, both on and off the social media. A young man's comment on one of my posts on Nairaland shook the foundation of my entire being and understanding. He said " Osu can never be abolished" . Me: why? . Him: if we do, the dialas will lose some portions of their land" Now, this young man understands that the so feared consequences were false but chose to continue out of greed. A traditional ruler in Enugu state rejected and refused to accept our proposal letter for advocacy meeting with him and his council members. This same traditional ruler is an elder in Winners Chapel, and met with Bishop David Oyedepo who laid hands on him in prayers before his coronation. But he swore that Osu will never be abolished in his community now that he's sitting on the throne. My questions are:- what is he doing in the church of Jesus Christ as an elder? What is he doing for God as a believer with his throne? His community is presently at war and in court over who's superior to who? Our constitution says no to inequality, the Eastern assembly abolished Osu and all of it's kind and declared anyone who practices it a criminal and the Bible also condemns it, so what's his defense in court and before God!? Almost everyone I have met have asked me these questions: " why are you campaigning against the continued practice of Osu caste system? Are you Osu?. The truth is that I had an encounter that changed my life. The full details will come soon. But if you want to know if God called me into doing it; oh yes He did and that's why I have stood firm before all resistance without fear!. I accepted to do it because of my love for humanity, but most especially for the love I have for the igbos. My message is the message of peace, love, reconciliation and light. And I pray that my people will embrace it. Let's go spiritual a bit : We have a prayer team and God is been so faithful to us as He has revealed and spoken to us on different occasions and times, but I'm going to talk about one only in this piece. After a night prayer, our prayer coordinator Steve Chris was paid a visit by some demons and it was confrontational. They introduced themselves as the demons of Osu, Ohu, Ume and diala, and in their words they said " Your ancestors handed over the igbo region to us and you people do not have the right to chase us away". Of course, you and I are aware that we have got the right and the authority as the present generation and in Christ Jesus!. Follow me closely and let's reason together :- If our region and us were handed over to the demons of outcast and slavery which has unleashed the spirits of injustice, oppression and inhumanity, how then do we complain of being treated and regarded as slaves and outcasts in Nigeria; the land of our birth!? Our ancestors brought it upon us, and if we practice a belief and tradition that says that all are not equal, why then do we complain about not being treated as equals in Nigeria? The same judgment you pronounce on others, you will be judged and the same measure you use, will be used for you is the law of nature! The relics of the evil practice our ancestors handed over to us are segregation, inequality, discrimination, hatred, war, wickedness etc, and there's no how peace and tranquility will thrive in our communities. In the part 1 of my experience, I mentioned that we approached some of the victims of the Osu caste system. We did not go to them because they are guilty or that we are fighting for them. Rather we went to them because they are igbos just like the dialas and we all need to come together as a people and discard the evil tradition. The spirit of Osu, Ohu, Ume and diala are spirits of division and no house stands divided. Our victory is in Isaiah 49:24-25. Shall the prey of the mighty be taken away, and the lawful captive delivered? But thus says the Lord, even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible delivered. For I will contend with those that contend with you, and I will save thy children. " But we can't be delivered if we are still holding on to the same sin that made us lawful captives. Our guilt and judgment is in Exodus 20:5. It will continue to be effective in the live of the igbos, but because of God's grace through Christ we can confess and be delivered. The igbos have continued to hate God by calling and treating His children as slaves. Ohaneze Ndigbo can hold a million meetings and seek for restructure from the Nigerian government, Nzukko Umunna can also extend a million hand shakes across the Niger and igbo Leaders of thoughts can demand for restructure, but they should first of all, go home and restructure our tradition and extend the hand shakes to their brothers at home, otherwise, their will never be a restructure and the igbos will continue to be marginalized and betrayal will never cease among us. It is not a curse but reality. Sometimes some crazy thoughts cross my mind, and I will be like:- could Obama and Jerry Rawlings have been presidents respectively if Ghana and US were igbo land? What are we bent on killing ourselves for? What are we tenaciously holding on to and how has it been gainful to us? Why are we validating the devil and evil in our communities, yet we blame others for our predicaments? We may have been born under the curse of Osu, Ohu, Ume and diala, but we are not under no obligation to die under it! God is ready to show us love and the time is now. He's not punishing us out of hatred, but He wants to be honored in our lives. Let's honor God our Creator! Thanks To be continued.. #loveisthegreatestgiftfromGod. #ifetacsiosbigdream. WHAT DOES A 21ST CENTURY IGBO PERSON WANT FROM OSU, OHU AND UME CASTE PRACTICE!? ORAL HIS HISTORY HAS IT THAT OSU, OHU AND UME CASTE PRACTICE IS DATED SEVEN TO EIGHT CENTURIES AGO. AN OSU, WAS A HUMAN BEING WHO WAS BIRTHED BY A MOTHER AFTER NINE MONTHS OF PREGNANCY TO A FAMILY WHO LIVED A NORMAL HAPPY LIFE UNTIL AN INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS WHO'S BUSINESS WAS TO KIDNAP AND SELL HUMAN BEINGS CAME, KIDNAPPED AND SOLD HIM/HER TO AN INTERESTED PARTY WHO THEN DECIDED HIS/HER DESTINY. THIS INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS WHO'S LEGITIMATE BUSINESS WAS TO KIDNAP AND SELL HUMAN BEINGS WERE OUR (FREE-BORNS) FOREFATHERS. I USED THE WORD "LEGITIMATE " BECAUSE IT WAS LEGAL AT THAT TIME TO KIDNAP, SELL AND/OR BUY A HUMAN BEING FOR WHATEVER PURPOSE. TODAY----IT'S A CRIME PUNISHABLE BY THE LAW TO KIDNAP, SELL AND/OR BUY A HUMAN BEING. ANYONE OR GROUP WHO'S BUSINESS IS TO KIDNAP AND SELL HUMAN BEINGS IS REFERRED TO AS A GANG OF MISCREANTS, ROGUES, CRIMINALS. WHICH LITERALLY MEANS, THAT IN THE FACE OF OSU, OHU AND UME SYSTEM, OUR FOREFATHERS WERE MISCREANTS, ROGUES AND CRIMINALS. TODAY, WE ALL CONDEMN ANYONE OR A GROUP WHO KIDNAP HUMAN BEINGS AND DEMAND FOR RANSOME, BUT HAVE TURNED A BLIND EYE TO THE EVIL OF OUR FOREFATHERS ACT!. AN OSU'S JOURNEY IN LIFE BEGAN THE DAY HE/SHE WAS KIDNAPPED ---SOLD -------BOUGHT AND DEDICATED TO THE COMMUNITY SHRINE/DEITY AGAINST HIS/HER WILL. SOME WERE BRUTALLY MURDERED AS A SACRIFICE TO THE gods. TODAY -----WE CONDEMN ANYONE OR A GROUP WHO'S BUSINESS IS TO KILL AND SACRIFICE HUMAN BEINGS TO THE SHRINES/DEITY, YET WE HAVE REFUSED TO OPEN UP OUR MINDS TO REALIZE HOW BARBARIC AND EVIL OSU, OHU AND UME PRACTICE WAS AND WILL ALWAYS BE!. WE WERE NOT ALLOWED TO LIVE TOGETHER OR MINGLE WITH THEM, BECAUSE NO MAN WILL BE ABLE TO WITHSTAND THE CONSEQUENCES FROM THE gods. IT WAS BELIEVED THAT THE gods WILL WRECK HAVOC IN OUR COMMUNITIES. TODAY WE DO NOT ONLY MINGLE WITH THEM BUT SOME HAVE DEFILED THE RULES BY GETTING MARRIED TO THEM. THEIR SPERM FERTILIZED OUR EGGS AND VICE VERSA ; AND WE ALSO HAVE PRODUCED BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN. YET WE HAVEN'T SEEN ANY SIGN OF EARTHQUAKE, HURRICANE, DROUGHT, TSUNAMI, ETC. IN OUR COMMUNITIES. ANOTHER RULE SAYS THAT A FREEBORN AUTOMATICALLY BECOMES AN OSU IF HE OR SHE BREAKS ANY OF THE RULES. TODAY, WE LIVE IN THEIR HOUSES AND PAY RENT TO THEM. THEY ARE COOKS AND CHEFS IN THE BIG AND SMALL RESTAURANTS THAT WE GO TO EAT. NOW I ASK, ACCORDING TO OUR IGBO TRADITION THAT IS SO DEAR TO US, HOW MANY OF US ARE OSU TODAY? SOME OF THEM ARE BLOOD RELATIVES OF THE WIFE OR HUSBAND YOU PICKED FROM THE NEIGHBORING COMMUNITY, COS NONE OF THEM WERE KIDNAPPED FROM THE NORTH OR WEST. THEY WERE ALL ORIGINALLY IGBOS AND YOU THINK THAT CHUKWU ABIAOMA OKIKE IS PLEASED WITH YOUR FOREFATHERS FOR SACRIFICING HIS OWN CHILDREN TO HIM COLD BLOOD!?. LET'S REASON TOGETHER AND DEMYSTIFY THE OSU SYSTEM: THE DEITIES ARE SUPPOSEDLY SPIRITS; IF THEY INSTITUTED THE SYSTEM , WHY HAVE THEY NOT WRECKED HAVOC ON OUR COMMUNITIES, COS NO CONSTITUTION NOR LAW COULD HAVE STOPPED THE SPIRIT. LIFE IS ALL ABOUT GIVE AND TAKE, YOU CAN'T ALWAYS TAKE AND REFUSE TO GIVE. WE SUPPOSEDLY HAD TERRORISTS, MISCREANTS AND RITUAL KILLERS AS FOREFATHERS; IS IT THAT THE 21ST CENTURY IGBO PERSON IS SUFFERING FROM PSYCHOLOGICAL INERTIA OR IT'S A CLEAR CASE OF "LIKE FARTHER, LIKE SON!? ARE WE SO MORALLY CORRUPT AND DEPRAVED THAT WE CAN'T CLEARLY UNDERSTAND AND BECOME FULLY AWARE OF HOW INHUMAN AND WICKED WE HAVE BEEN IN THE FACE OF OSU, OHU, AND UME CASTE PRACTICE!? THEY HAVE BEEN REDEEMED BY JESUS, THE UN, NIGERIAN CONSTITUTION, THE LAW BY THE EASTERN STATES ASSEMBLY AND BY THE LAW OF HUMANITY, BUT THE IGBOS REFUSED TO LET GO. THE FREEBORN CHOSE TO BE STUCK, YET WE SEEK REDEMPTION FROM THE ABOVE MENTIONED AUTHORITIES! JUST SPEAKING TO OUR CONSCIENCE. OSM @IFETACSIOS. |

THE SHAME OF OSU CASTE PRACTICE IN IGBOLAND/BIAFRA. The Osu caste practice is a long aged tradition in the era when deities were believed to ask for human sacrifice in order to cleanse the land of abominations. History has it that one can become Osu (outcasts) through one of the follwing ways; (1) A community can buy a Slave for the purpose of cleansing their land of abominations with human blood . A Slave is someone who's kidnapped or stolen and sold to slave merchants against his will (2) Ostracization. This happens when an individual or group of individuals disobey or challenge the orders of a wicked king and are thus banished. (3) Nri Kingdom was believed to possess the hereditary power and their Eze was seen as a potent who had powers to undo evil and cleanse the land of abominations and taboos with human blood. Any community in igboland that says no to the cleansing of their land with human blood will be declared an outcast (Osu) An agonizing and painful journey of humiliation, deprivation, stigmatization, emotional trauma due to rejection starts once you are unfortunate to fall into one of the above. Our fathers in their days of darkness and ignorant sinned against humanity and God by shading innocent blood. In1948, United Nations universal declaration guaranteed human Rights and freedom from any form of discrimination. In 1956, the defunct eastern region assembly also abolished it. THE TRADITIONALIST/BIAFRAN We say NO to the world declaration and the Nigerian constitution; that says free your own brother, but we run to the UN, the western World to complain about what they have refused to give to us. We held-on tenaciously to the evil our fathers meted on innocent human beings who were just venerable at a time and were taken advantage of. We discriminate against Our Own, all in the name of a deity and chief priests that exist only in Nollywood movies. Our Own, who's in the struggle with us. They endured genocidal massacre in defense for our freedom and are marginalized with us. They are shouting RESTRUCTURE with us and they are agitating for Biafra with us; we appear to be tightly knit together, yet we refused to set Our Own free. We have unknowingly fallen in love with them, made love to them and it all felt so good. The dead deity didn't kill us cos they don't have power to do so. What we are doing to our own is the same as what they doing to us. Their fathers told them that we are their Osu/slave; that we are not equal to them though the constitution says otherwise . They were told that they are born to rule and should never let the igbos/biafra(Osu) go; they are also holding on firmly to it. He that goes to equity must go with clean hands! THE CHRISTAINS. I read that 70% of igbos are Christians and that we also discriminate against the ones our fathers tagged Osu. Our fathers agreed to the cleansing of the land with human blood, but their fathers said NO. Our fathers bought their innocent fathers that were kidnapped or stolen and they are victimized. Their fathers said no to a wicked king and was banished, but ours supported the wicked king. They (outcast) forgave us without us asking for forgiveness yet we refused to accept them as onebody in Christ. God says.. I will visit the sins of the fathers upon their children, even unto their third generations Ex34:6-7. You can not be a new creature in Christ if you still believe in Osu caste practice cos old things have not passed away in your life(2cor5:17). Our Lord Jesus Christ died for the whole world : for the jews and the gentals, but we are still looking backwards cos we do not truly believe in the finished work of Jesus at the cross. It's inconceivable that we all have destroyed and abandoned our family shrines, yet obey the laws of the deity that says they are untouchable. You are a polytheist, Your serving multiple gods and God frowns at it.....have no other God beside me. (Ex20:5). Have you ever wondered why they are so prosperous,? God loves them.... They have abandoned the deity and genuinely given their life to Christ. Heaven is our destination as Christians. Let's repent from the wickedness of our fathers. Let our light shine so bright that the world will see it. What shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and end up in hell. Titles and donations in the church and being the Priest's or Pastor's favorite will not take you to heaven. Jesus says.. Whatever you do to your brother; that you do into me. You have rejected and discriminated against Jesus each time you do so to them. Life is vanity and God is Love. All shall die, and after death comes judgement cos Heaven is real! You may not totally agree with me but it's time we abandoned this inhuman and despicable practice as a people. It's an injustice against the innocent and we shouldn't pride in it Jesus says.. Give to Caesar what is Caesar and to God what is God. (mtt22:15). This command of Jesus summarizes the relationship between Christianity, secular world and society. Christ has set all free... Give it to Him. UN has abolished.... Give it to them. The Nigerian constitution and Eastern region says let go... Let them go. It could be an Osu blood and doctor that saved your life during that surgery, yet they are untouchable. The sperm you bought at the sperm bank and the child you adopted may have come from the one you call untouchable. Some are Pastors and Revs, they lay hands on your head and you believe in their annoiting, yet you say you can't marry them. Pls Let's not continue in the ignorant of our fathers. We have a better chance to a better life. They are sweet and nice people. The free borns should start a movement to set their captives free. One love! |

It was started by human beings and can be reversed by human beings. Our forefathers started it and the foundation is wrong. We can right their wrongs. The only sacrifice that is irreversible is the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. Change your mind set and it is possible. What is land? Land that will swallow all upon death. Eze Orizu 111 nnewi did it 22 years ago and osu died in nnewi till date. Join us if you know that the practice is wrong and God will see us through. Remember our forefathers killed twin babies |

Osu was an evil practice by our ancestors just like the killing of twins in igboland. The freeborn accepted to stop the killing of twins because it affected them too. Our fathers were unfair to their fathers . One becomes an osu agiasnt his will. Their innocent blood was used to Cleanse the land. I can't say the history of osu here cos of space but you can read it online and understand the level of evil our fathers meted on them. I am a free born where I came from and I just started a movement to set them free. They are beautiful and nice people. Some of us have had sex with them and it was good. No calamity nor evil befell us. No body care about the deities any more. Not even the ones practising it. Pls join me if you are interested... It is the 21st century. Be part of this generational change. Let's not wait for them to carry placards and start protesting. We all are either clamouring for biafra or restructure yet refused to set our captives free. He that goes to equity must go with free hands. |

Osu is so much in existence and it's a big shame. I have seen relationships broken in this 21st century because the man or girls is osu and the family of the free born said no. I am a free born but just started a movement of the free born s who ready to set them free. Our fathers were unfair to their fathers. This 21st century. It's evil and inhuman. Their forefathers were either stolen, or kidnapped and sold into slavery and osu. No time to tell you the full history here. The UN abolished it but the igboman says no. The Nigerian constitutions stopped it but and igboman says no, the government of the eastern states abolished it 50+ years ago but and igboman still says no, yet we want biafra or restructure.
