Briggshapps:
Good day gurus in the house am a new member and obviously a novice here but I have read to some extent the thread which has helped me alot terms of info and what to do
Am preparing to apply for a spouse visa and my spouse is my sponsor
Does my spouse need to pay the application fee from the uk account he should send me the money to pay from nigeria since am applying from nigeria?
2. Will he be required to submit any docs over there or to send them all to me for my interview and biometrics
What basically will be required of him to do apart from the docs and cover letter

1. It is better for your spouse to pay the application/IHS fees from UK as the limit on your own Nigerian debit card may make such huge payment difficult/impossible.

2. It depends on whether you are opting for assisted or self service; if it is self service, pdf scanned copies of all documents can be uploaded by either you or your partner on the tlscontact page. But if you are doing assisted service then you will take all documents with you to your biometrics appointment for assisted upload at an additional fee.

All the best.

Hello House. Happy new year to all.
Please I have started filling the online application for my wife but I want to ask before going further at what stage will I add my daughter's application to my wife's?
Will I have to fill their applications separately or there is a way I can combine it as a family application?
Also, if I have to fill the applications separately, then how will I indicate that the two are to be treated as one
In uploading the supporting documents, am I going to upload all the documents twice; i.e. for my wife and my daughter at different times?
And lastly please, in picking appointment date/time, will they be able to do their biometrics together?

Kindly guide a novice here please.

@justwise and other gurus I beg.

Hello All,
Please for the English proficiency via NARIC I am a bit confused which I should use for my spouse's master degree and B.Sc.;
On their site there is one for 20 pounds
"Statement of Comparability,
English Language Assessment,
Visas and Nationality Service (English Proficiency),
Career Path Report,
Early Years Service,
Qualification Reference Statement

"Another one is 135 pounds
Visas and Nationality Service (PhD), Visas and Nationality Service (PhD with English Proficiency), Statement of Comparability for Construction Skills for Academically Qualified Persons"

Is it the one of 20 pounds that I should use please as it states English Proficiency in the description?

Also, kindly guide me on the documents to send on her behalf;

Transcript? Degree Certificate?, Both or with an additional document from her school?

Thank you.

Just for your Nigerian kids. British kids aren't included in the financial calculation.
You need extra £3,800 for your first non-British child and £2,400 for your 2nd (and any other) non-British child.
Thank you very much.

Hello All,
Thank you for the good job being done here. The posts have all being quite educating.
Please I need a guide; I want to apply for a spouse visa for my wife and daughter who are in Nigeria. I am a British citizen by naturalization

I was married to a woman here in UK but divorced before marrying my Nigerian wife.
My ex had 2 kids for me and they are both British citizens. They children are not living with me.
My question is, in calculating my income threshold for support, will I have to add the additional 3,800 for the child my wife will bring from Nigeria or I will have to include for my other two children in the calculation plus 18,600 pounds for my spouse .

@Justwise and other gurus kindly give an insight. Thanks
