Sports / [revealed] See What Messi Said About About Argentina Vs Nigeria Clash by Ournews: 7:15am On Jun 14, 2018 |
Lionel Messi has said that Argentina does not know much about Nigeria ahead of their World Cup Group D clash in Russia. Nigeria will face Argentina in the last game of the group, and Messi believes the game against Iceland and Croatia will be more important than that of the West African nation. In an exclusive interview with UK Express, Messi said the game against Nigeria will not be a walk-over even though he does not know much of Nigeria. The Barcelona star said:- “The important thing is that we are here in this World Cup and that we give everything to achieve as much as we can. “If Argentina goes out there and plays as we know we can then it will be very difficult to beat us. “We have experienced World Cups before and we know that every rival will come out to try and beat us and play the game as if it is a final. That always makes it more complicated. But we are used to it. “It will be important to start strongly. Iceland did well in their last tournament so the first match will not be comfortable. But these are the ones to win if you don’t want the next matches to be even more complicated.” “Croatia is a good team with players in the big European leagues and that makes them dangerous. “We don’t know so much about Nigeria but the African teams are normally compact, tough and strong. So it will be no walkover.”` SOURCE- https://nairatrend.com.ng/world-cup-messi-speaks-on-argentina-vs-nigeria-clash-said-it-will-be-the-easiest-in-the-group/

Sports / Transfer Latest! Lionel Messi Begs Barcelona To Sign Salah by Ournews: 4:41pm On Jun 13, 2018 |
Barcelona Superstar, Lionel Messi, has told the club to complete the signing of Liverpool star, Mohamed Salah. Salah has been tipped to head to La Liga in recent weeks following his stunning return to the Premier League. The 25-year-old scored 44 goals in all competitions under Jurgen Klopp last season. Spanish outlet, Diario Gol, reports that Messi has told Barca to sign the Liverpool star over Atletico Madrid striker, Antoine Griezmann. The France international, who has been tipped to head to the Nou Camp this summer, revealed yesterday he is yet to make a decision on his future. Former Liverpool playmaker, Phillippe Coutinho has also backed Barca’s move for Salah this summer. Liverpool, however, are demanding at least £132m (€150m) for Salah. The newspaper added that Salah is not interesting in heading to Real Madrid who are also desperate to land him in the summer. Politics / Buhari: Nigerians Are Intellectually Aggressive, Economically Ambitious by Ournews: 5:39am On Jun 12, 2018 |
President Muhammmadu Buhari has described Nigerians as intellectually aggressive and economically ambitious. According to him, Nigeria’s selling point remains a populace that always seeks self-improvement and self-actualization in any part of the world. He was speaking yesterday in an audience with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Morocco, Saadeddine Othmani, at the Royal Guest Palace, Rabat, Morocco. Buhari, who was on a two-day working visit to Morocco, said: “Nigeria’s visionary and resilient population’’ works hard to always position the country for more growth, fuelled by a largely youthful group that continually wants to contribute to development. “Nigerians are intellectually aggressive and economically ambitious. I received some of our students here yesterday and I am really impressed with the zeal and fearlessness they exuded. “In Nigeria, we have a very young and aggressive population and we are working very hard to create the enabling and inclusive environment for their contributions to be better appreciated.” Buhari, according to a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, said his administration was harnessing the human and material resources available in Nigeria, especially in the educational and agricultural sectors. The Prime Minister said his country had always been impressed by Nigeria’s intellectual zeal and strength, noting that “many Moroccans appreciate the intellectual contribution of Nigerians, especially in literary works.’’ SOURCE- https://nairatrend.com.ng/buhari-nigerians-are-intellectually-aggressive-economically-ambitious/ 1 Like
