Politics / Re: Daily Ticket Collected By 'agbero' In Anambra State .... by oyekola: 1:32pm On Oct 22, 2022
Let’s this get to the FP.

All this money they claim touts collect from them, they get *3 from those that buy from them.

I remember the day I went to Alaba to get some stuff, after getting it I decided to hire a Sienna bus to carry it to Volks. The driver insisted on collecting 10k that he would give 4.5k to ‘Agbero’

Fortunately, those guys came around as he said but he didn’t give them a dime. He told them he was going home that I’m his neighbor and they left him.

After we got to Volks, I asked for deduction but he flared up and said we already agreed. I had to give him to let peace reign.

Lesson: no Igbo business man would want to lose a Kobo from his profit he would rather factor it in his selling price.

Note: I’m not supporting Agbero style of tax collection but I hate hypocrisy.

Why can't this man put on a suit for once?

Just look at how he looks different and confused in that picture.

All the leaders there have their own native cultures, but our own P-Man would rather dress like his brothers from Niger Republic.

He is at the front seat simply because they want to prevent him from dozing off. That vantage position in front of the lenses would make him a bit alert because that man cannot define climate change.

Only God knows how many world leaders he approcahed for loans at the sidelines of the conference.

Check the last picture closely. The white man on the left is visibly frustrated. In his minds, he is just pondering: 'who invited this man here?'

Ah!

It’s good to see PDP finally making some reasonable moves in Lagos for once.

Disenchantment is growing against Tinubu’s grip on Lagos and time is coming for him to be dislodged.

My advise to PDP is, after getting the Lagos4Lagos group to join the party...

The next step would be to woo Ambode into the party to come complete his tenure.

The third step is to ensure Igbo voters of their protection during elections and you will see them in their thousands come out to vote PDP in solidarity.

If these things can be done, then not even Tinubu’s agberos can save him from losing Lagos in 2023.

That's a blatant lie bro!

No matter how well Nigerians are paid, there is always a mentality of getting extra money to do daily contributions.

The truth is everybody wants to build house, buy car etc.

Don't blame the Governor. He's doing the right thing. Let's encourage him to do more.

Good day!
I have issues with my dell laptops.

1. Dell Inspiron 13 7000 series (the one with 360 turning)
Problem: when I switch it on, it tends to boot to desktop and hang. It shows Windows logo but fails to boot to desktop. It is Windows 8.1 that is on it. But it works normally on Safe Mode. I have used another Hard Disk ( though not new one) but is still the same thing

What will I do?

2. Dell Inspiron 3520 problem: this one only shows Dell logo but doesn't boot and I have no access to BIOS settings neither do I have to Boot Menu.

Please, what will do?

Thank you!

Politics / Re: One Killed As IPOB Members Protest In Onitsha - Vanguard News by oyekola: 9:05am On Nov 07, 2015
moscow37d:
So recent Biafran protests have got me thinking, but I have been skeptical about airing my views because of perceived reactions.

DISCLAIMER: THESE ARE PERSONAL VIEWS, AND I, IN NO WAY CLAIM SUPREMACY OF KNOWLEDGE. FOR THE "GREYS" WHO THINK I AM TOO YOUNG TO SPEAK OF THIS SUBJECT, PLEASE PERMIT THIS CHILD TO SPEAK, THEN CORRECT HIM IF HE IS WRONG. FOR IGNORANCE CAN ONLY BE KNOWN IF IT IS AIRED, AND CAN ONLY BE CORRECTED IF IT IS KNOWN.

My points are as follows:

1. According to worldometers the median age of Nigeria is 17.8, hence an "average " did not experience the civil war.

2.This is the age statistics of Nigeria as at 2014 is as follows:
0-14 years: 43.2%
15-24 years: 19.3%
25-54 years: 30.5%
55-64 years: 3.9%
65 years and over: 3.1% (indexmundi.com)
In simpler statistics 93% of Nigerians were 5 and below in 1967.

3. According to Wikipedia, youth age range is between 18-35. Hence no present day Nigerian youth saw the civil war.

My first question: since over 90% percent of us neither saw the civil war nor participated actively, and our youth were born 10 years after the war, where is all the hate and agitation from?

4. The major driving force of Biafra is the igboland, but the Biafran map includes states like Cross river, Rivers, Delta, Bayelsa and Akwa Ibom state. This makes Biafra a culturally diverse state. I am igbo and i currently live in Akwa Ibom state, and we share no similarity in custom or language. How then can we live together as "one Biafra" when we can't tolerate the cultural diversity of Nigeria.

5. The Igbo tribe would become the majority tribe in Biafra, while the others who constitute the oil producing states hence the 'rich boys' would become minority. "How can the wealth most especially that from oil be distributed, when the majority is in power and the minority have the resource?"
So therefore, a time may come when the "minority" may decide to be free, because no man wants to live in another man's shadow.

6. Igbos are generally regarded as traders, and the lifeblood of their markets like Onitsha Main market and Ariaria international market is found in Lagos seaport where most of the goods come from. In Biafra, Lagos becomes another country hence tax and import/ export levies would increase drastically and logistics would become more difficult.
The other option is to trade via the Calabar Port, Delta Port or Rivers Port at Port Harcourt, and Onne. These ports are only found in the non-igbo states, hence another potential challenge.

7. What happens to Biafrans that have their livelihood rooted deeply in non biafran states? What happens to the igbos that constitute the majority of Alaba international market?
Would naturalization take place or would they liquidate assets and return to Biafra and start afresh?

8. Finally, the question of rulership. Who rules Biafra?
Currently, most Igbo people especially those in Abia and Imo state are dissatisfied with the condition of their states. They complain of bad government, massive looting, poor infrastructures etc, and they are currently ruled by Igbo governors.
If Biafra is formed who would rule then?
I believe it would be the same people that they complain of, and as you can see the cycle of pain and complaints would continue.

Problems are fixed by inward reflections not outward projections and blame shifting.

PLEASE BEAR WITfH ME, FOR A CHILD WHO DID NOT SEE THE WAR HAS SPOKEN

I have thought of these before.
Please, create a thread for this and I do hope that the Mod will do the needful by moving it to the FrontPage for the world to see.

I have just been hired to work as an electrical engineer in a construction company but the use of AutoCAD is compulsory which I know next to nothing. Luckily for me, I've been given a grace of 6 months to learn it.

I want to know this at all cost but I don't know where I can learn and know it very well within the stipulated time. I reside around Challenge Area, Ibadan.

Anyone with information about where I can get it done should please help by giving me the address within Ibadan metropolis not minding how far it is from my place of residence.

Education / Re: You Think You Can Solve Maths? Try This: by oyekola: 10:02pm On Jun 12, 2015
BODMAS is fundamental in every Mathematical
Equation. The application, sometimes, seems
confusing.
Full meaning of BODMAS(sorry for bringing you
back):
B = Bracket
O = Off
D = Division
M = Multiplication
A = Addition
S = Subtraction
If you study the question well, you'll find out that
BOD (Bracket, Off and Division) are not reflecting
but MAS (Multiplication, Addition and
Subtraction) are clearly shown.
Meanwhile, you must also bear in mind that you
must solve in accordance with how BODMAS is
arranged. Don't do Addition before Multiplication;
do not attempt Subtraction before Addition and
so on...
Now, back to the question. Don't forget, we are
to use MAS
Multiplication: (5*3) = 15
Addition: (5+5+5+5+5) = 25
Subtraction: (-5-5) = -10
Therefore,
MAS: 15+25-10
40-10
30

Am I wrong?

Does PDP has anything to do with this? I really don't get it. I think the majority is the only determinant on who to be the number 3.
