It is a good initiative. Yes, it shows a disparity between the rich and the poor. Truthfully, majority of Nigerians earn less than 500,000 naira per annum. That is a monthly salary 40,000. It will give advantage to students who have to take odd jobs to fund their education, enabling them to focus more in school.

After this, I look forward to the Government remodeling our curriculum. So that our schools can become a problem-solving curriculum. This will enable graduates be integrated directly into the economy after graduating

Our God never lies and this revelation will come to pass.

APC to lose Osun State, only to win Nigeria.

If APC loses in court today to PDP regarding Osun election, we will all say it was a fair judgment. But if APC wins PEPT and the Supreme Court, we will say it’s unfair.

The earlier we Nigerians embrace reality, the better for us

You see why lying is bad?

You accused him of losing the phone and you helped him find it by tracking it. He then allowed a little time and then asked if you saw money in the carton he kept the phone.
He is upset with you because you took him to be stupid. He has every right to be upset with you.

From your message, you still didn’t acknowledge your fault. First I’ll advice you take a bold step to really apologize to him and make a resolution on what you have to do to make money and help the family.
Those advising you to leave are probably under their parents roof too. Outside no easy make I tell you

Look for something to do, no matter how small. Give some money to support the house to show you’re responsible. Occasionally recharge his phone or pay electricity bills.
Trust me, he will start acknowledging how proud he is of you

dear christian women, if you follow this op's today, you will be so unhappy and miserable, that you will be begging for divorce. The scammer of a pastor you will run to for help will only give you bible verses without any assistance, condemning you to hell on earth.

Submission comes naturally when your man loves and respects you. If your husband hasn't done that, you are under no obligation to be scammed. Pursue your happiness first because marriage will definitely not provide it, neither will children.

Look at the gospel singer that sang 'Ekwueme', the current news is that she died due to domestic violence.

Another problem in marriage is lack of total understanding of scripture.
The Bible never says “women, submit to your husbands when he loves you” and neither did it say “husbands, love your wife when she is submissive towards you”.

Woman submit is an admonishment because an average woman lacks submission. But talking about love, women can love to a fault; that was the reason Apostle Paul was admonishing them to add the missing ingredient (submission) in their perfection to it.

Likewise, an average man has no problem with submission. That is why majority of men will naturally go for women that are younger than them. Submission is not a challenge for a man; it is in his default setting. But love is not part of what a man does by nature. It takes extra grace and determination for a man to genuinely love his wife to the extent of giving his life for her. That was the message the Apostle was giving to the people of Ephesus

Well said, but I do not subscribe to the part that says; she does not try to change him. What if her husband is a criminal, a drunkard or a ritualist, shouldn't the wife make an effort to change him into becoming a better man?

In my opinion, i think the first mistake women make is trying so hard to change a man.
Whereas, it same patience it requires to soften a stone is the same needed to change a man.

I believe that was in the context of the verse

For your child to say you should stop shouting at him actually shows disrespect.

Correct that!

This is not true. Shouting at children consistently tend to bring down their confidence. And for this one to tell his mom to stop shouting really mean he has the confidence to face his fears. If she continues, he will start withdrawing from her. And this will affect the mother-son relationship.
Madam, you’re not doing badly as a mom. You can strike a deal with the boy on some of your expectations and then promise him not to shout.

In the case of the food flask, you could have given him a note to hand to his teacher. Rather than expect (or have) him tell his teacher about the swap.

Parenting is a course we must learn daily and be dynamic. There’s no singular way to perfect parenting. But the only denominator is wisdom

Nairaland / General / RCCG Open Heavens Daily Devotional For January 4th, 2019 by oyinmykel: 8:52am On Jan 04, 2019
*OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL*

*DATE: FRIDAY 4TH JANUARY 2019*

*THEME: LESSONS FROM THE SOWER II*

*MEMORISE* :
Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established: Proverbs 24:3

READ: Mark 4:2-9, Mark 10:29-30

2 And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine,

3 Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:

4 And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.

5 And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:

6 But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.

7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.

8 And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.

9 And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Mark 10:29-30
29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,

30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

*MESSAGE*
Yesterday, we learnt a great lesson from the futility of indiscriminate sowing from the Parable of the Sower. The Holy Spirit taught us that it would amount to a waste of seed, time and energy if we do not sow wisely. Today, we will reflect on the benefits of sowing with wisdom.

To conclude His parable on the sower, the Lord in Mark 4:8 said:

“And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.”

The first lesson here is that seeds don't all yield the same amount of fruit. Every child of God must have this understanding in order not be frustrated by unfulfilled expectations. In His own wisdom, the Owner of the Church did not endow every member of His Church equally (Romans 12:6-cool. What is important is that we all sow seeds, using the endowments God has given to each of us, and we must do all within our ability to maximise the potential of our seed in order to yield the expected fruits (John 15:16). It will therefore be wrong for us, as members of the Body of Christ, to begin to compare ourselves competitively with one another. The Holy Spirit discourages this type of attitude among the brethren (2 Corinthians 10:12).

When we choose correctly the right soil to sow our seeds into, we are bound to prosper. It is frustrating to work and have nothing to show for it. Peter experienced this in Luke 5:3-8, by by the time he encountered the Owner of heaven and earth, he had a big catch. From Peter's experience, you will be wise to learn that you need Jesus Christ, who is Himself the Wisdom of God, to experience breakthroughs in life without struggle (1 Corinthians 1:24-29). Moreover, if you are one of those who pay tithes and give offerings as commanded by God, you must identify the correct soil to sow these seeds of faith into. You must identify a commission which has God's backing to sow your seeds of giving into. Many people have been discouraged from paying their tithes, offerings and first fruits because God's promise on these in Malachi 3:10 is not fulfilled in their lives. They have become disgruntled about giving, not only to God but also to the needy, because they lack adequate knowledge on the priciples of sowing. The problem is that many people unknowingly sow among thorns and thistles, on the roadside or even on the rock. From the Parable of the Sower, we know what happens to such seeds. This will not be your experience in Jesus' Name. Some ministries which are not founded on the call of God are like the wayside and rocky ground that Jesus described; you will be wise not to sow your time and resources in such places. Overall, the best investment you can make is to sow the seed of your life into Christ. If you do, you will surely reap the benefits in multiple folds (Mark 10:30, John 10:10).

*KEY POINT* :
God is not committed to what He hasn't commanded. Are you sowing into a cause that has His backing?

Always, only for my King.
Take my lips and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee,

Not a mite would I withhold.
Take my intellect and use
Every pow’r as Thou shalt choose,
Every pow’r as Thou shalt choose.

Take my heart, it is Thine own,
It shall be Thy royal throne,

the question is, are the subject combo she wrote in jamb the prerequisite to the course she applied for? if she chose the wrong combo for a course, even when she scores 400, I feared no admission will be offered
