The greatest dis service that has been done by the trading industry is to call a losing a  trade a LOSS. In reality a losing trade is not a loss but your cost of purchase like the Accountants will call it.
Because we are wired to reject losses  hence our body system will always resist anything call losses it sometimes become very challenging in dealing with losing trades particularly as a beginner trader.
My definition of a losing trade is a trade where you lost more than your predefined R unit. Such losses should never be allowed to happen, where it does it only shows the gambler spirit in every man.
we must learn to co inhabit with losing trades (cost of purchase) because no matter how much you try u can never eliminates it. no system, no indicator, no analysis can ever eliminates it.
if so why fight what u cant change? concentrates on what you can change and you will be fine

My advice to beginner traders is to try to make sure that you go for trades with potential to reward you with multiple R units. see your losing trades as tuition fee in this craft.

good job Ogboraph the difference between the novice trader and the professional traders is that the novice trader focuses on his gains and lets losing trades run, they think that losing is bad and should never be entertained and hence embark on a journey without end, trying to eliminate what can NEVER be eliminated (losing trades) the professional allows winner to run and kills the loser quickly.

eurusd price momenturn has shifted to the upside, however at 1.2980 region there might some pull back for some quick pips to the downside.

EURUSD price trading within my sell zone, looking for confirmation on my 30/60mins bar first target is around 1.2750

1) play a counter trend (long trade) up to about the 1.2830-50 region

when price get to the 1.2830 ish region look for a reversal candle at least on the 30min to play it short up to the weekly pivot zone

2) price breaksdown the weekly pivot wait for a retest and short

what is the best stop loss for 4hr time frame

stop placement is a function of several variable such as your strategy, risk tolerance, pairs involved , volatility etc
however if u are trading eurusd for example on 4hr chart your stop loss could range from 70 - 100 pips

if you took the gold trade time to take some more profit, eurusd hit final target

taking some profit in gold and eurusd shorts balance to break even

really loving price action today

take your stop and move on losing trades are inevitable
