All those crying for pity to Fubara and those clapping for Wike are all enemies of true democracy and good governance.Thats my take.
During the primaries,how many Aspirants bought the form in PDP and how many of them did the then sitting governor (Wike) allow to participate in the primaries freely?
The governor exercised overbearing influence and pursue all other Aspirants into bushes leaving only Fubara as the only governor's choice.Mind you, GOVERNOR'S CHOICE and not the PEOPLE'S CHOICE (That's the genesis of the problem)
I can remember vividly how one of the Aspirants,I think a serving member of the House of Representative then,was declared wanted by Wike the governor (as if he was a law court or police chief to have declared somebody wanted) for attempting to contest the primaries with Fubara.He was finally arrested and detained when he mustered courage to appear at the venue.
You people that are crying for pity for Fubara now clapped hands and applauded Wike for his political dexterity.
He further removed state money for campaign,consultation and for buying of wrapper,salt,rice to share as inducement to people to vote for Fubara during the general election proper while candidates of other parties used their private money for the election which couldn't match the government money used for Fubara which give him advantage over others.None of you saw anything wrong with that as at then.
From the beginning of his emergence until swearing in as a governor,it was always Wike,Wike,Wike, and Wike in the picture.
Where were the "people" in the picture?
And the most painful things was/is that the same people who were supposed to condemned such undemocractic practices were the same people clapping and praising Wike for doing what Amaechi could not do.And what was that, installing the governor singlehandedly.
And even he himself, Fubara was very happy and pleased with his master for being a masterclass in politics while other candidates and Aspirants were mocked to "Go to Court".
And today you people that did not see anything wrong with the ignoble roles he played in forcing him on the people are now shouting that it's unconstitutional for Wike to ask him to be answerable to him.That he should only be answerable to the "people".
And I asked, which people?
Did you ask him to be answerable to the PEOPLE all through the processes that brought him to power?
Was it not Wike that he was answerable to all through that period?
Why then do you people cry that the table should change now that he is a governor?
So if you didn't condemn Wike for doing everything possible including "illegality" to ensure he emerged as governor,then you don't have any moral right to condemn him now for doing another "illegality" by demanding "personal accountability" from him.

And for those of you here who praised Wike then for "forcing" his "Choice" on the people using state instruments of coercion and are still praising him now for using "federal might" to enforce his undemocratic agreement with Fubara, know that you are enemies of democracy and good governance too just as the supporters of Fubara are.

In the just concluded elections, single individuals have installed governors in Kogi,Akwa Ibom,Lagos,Edo,and many other states of the federation and we clapped hands praising those individuals for being powerful and politically relevant.
Tomorrow,when each of them begin to demand that their godsons do only their biddings and not the biddings of the people,we, the same people will begin to cry all over cyber space and other media outlets.

I am really surprised at Fubara's method of politicking. For two years now, these men are still 27.
