Hello

You will be required to show the evidence of maintenance for your spouse dependant (£680*9months if your school is outside London or £845*9 if within London) the first page has the link to verify this

2. If you switch to PSW visa your dependant will be required to switch with you too and yes can work full time

3. Your spouse can switch back to Masters however I doubt you can be on PSW twice( I will need to confirm that)

Bear in mind that PSW doesn't count towards ILR although I hear there's a current debate on it

Cheers

Thanks a lot

Hello

No

Cheers

Good day sir/ma'am, please I want to ask if I'm applying for a study visa (masters) and my spouse will be coming with me (no child) what proof of funds will be required

During my psw will my spouse also be allowed to be in UK legally and work while I'm working/searching for work

At the expiration of my psw, if I'm unable to secure a work visa, can my spouse start an msc degree as well? If yes, will I be allowed to stay back with her during her own psw?
Thanks

The first thing is don't be emotional in pursuing the case as the tenant could get a lawyer that could push your buttons and you misbehave in court.

The litigation fees come from the lawyer and as such he/she should (it varies) put the stated amount into the plea. Other costs include the bailiff costs and so on. Your lawyer would know how to go about it all.
Thank you boss

@ Ohyinyeah, was the court notice given to the tenant or notice pasted on his door by the court bailiff?

No self-help as this might be the pit being dug for you.

Go through this post https://www.nairaland.com/post/85073413

Normally, after the defendant is not showing up and the bailiff shows evidence of summons delivery which is by doing one of the two above, the judge progresses the case to the next stage.

Your lawyer should have confirmed the bailiff delivered and mentioned it to the judge that the paper was delivered and as such the defendant had no reason not to show up but was ignoring the court and so the case should proceed to mentionor hearing. (appearance - mention - hearing - judgement. That is the court steps. I don't know which step you are at). If the judge does not hear this from the lawyer those words, the case na everlasting, and as such you keep paying appearance fees.

Hope in the court filing, your lawyer asked for mense profits which is rent from the time of the court filing till when the case is ended. The initial debt is 1 year and the 2 years more now is the mense profits. Hope also any outstanding utility like power and water bills is included in that lawyer's filing. If your lawyer added these and the above of calling the judge to the bailiff delivery, then the delay is simply court delay but if otherwise, you have an enemy within. Take note that a new lawyer can continue from where the old lawyer left off.

In addition Ohyinyeah, you may visit the court register and ask for informal advice. You could get a bit of it that could help you.

Wishing you well - Teemy

Boss, like how much is a good enough litigation fee I can place in my claims or is it the magistrate that determines that?. The idiot I have in my house is a peculiar one and I want that bitter lesson for him

They could sue you for what was or what wasn't depending on how greedy their lawyer is. At the same time, your own lawyer could give you a better solution and turn things around. It is a matter of who expresses the law the most.

In all, always wait for the final court judgment. Even the judge could vex against both parties.
Thanks boss

Oga what if you throw this person out after you've gone to court because of impatience due to intolerable adjournments and unnecessary court delay? What's the worst case scenario you have personally witnessed or heard?

The quit notice must be from the court and the bailiff must serve him that...

After the notice, you serve him with another known as 7 days notice or Landlord 's intention to recover premise.

Then after 7 days, if he fails ...you go to the court but through a good lawyer for a claim, the whole process should last only 2 months if the lawyer is smart enough.

Done all that boss but court congestion is my problem. If court sits today, next appearance will be in 2 or 3 months. I cannot can again

do as I say........ Serve him Q.N.

Better still go to the court/human rights office.

But serve it to him tomorrow morning.

I served him quit notice long ago. He ran down the entire duration of the notice and still refused to pack out. Nigeria's judicial system is messed up.... The interval between just two court sittings can easily be 5 months. Imagine that kind of thing boss

I swear. I have never seen an ingrate like this one. Someone that was kicked out where he was living before and I just gave him accommodation not necessarily because of money but out of pity. I've cut ties with the frenemy that recommended the ungrateful element to me. Never again

There's a street ur¢hin I mistakenly gave accommodation to and I desperately want the clown out of my house. I don't want to go into details of what this person has done because it's better imagined than experienced. Taking advantage of our pitiable judicial system to perpetuate all manner of atrocities while claiming legal right. What is the worst that can happen if I forcefully throw out this person from my house. As it stands now, I'm more willing to go to jail for 7 years for forceful ejection than allowing the clown spend an extra week in my house. Please share real experiences of what the law/court has done in the eventuality of forced eviction that you witnessed. Is there any landlord you know that is in jail because of this?.
P.s he has exhausted the quit notice I served him and still there commiting more atrocities and I may explode very soon
