The Democrats have a dark past but they seem to have learnt from it. They now are more inclusive and accommodating of other races than any other party in the US.

The white supremacist and nationalist undertone by the Republican party and Trump was their biggest downfall. There's no space in the world for tribalists, both in the local or global scale(so called nationalists).

We are one in humanity. The earth belongs to everybody. No one brought a skin colour or land from heaven.

Fyi, the current democratic party is not the same party as the old democratic party. There was a party switch during the Roosevelt administration.

The current democratic party is the republican party of old (the party of Abraham Lincoln) and the current republican party is the democratic party of old (the party of southern planters).

It is the republicans that have the dark past and currently maintains.

Today's "tongues" are from Satan and everyone teaching it serves the Devil

As a black American, the tongues of today were introduced into charismatic churches in the US by blacks who had synergized aspects of Vodun retained by their enslaved ancestors and their newly adopted Christianity.

In most cases, Christianity spread by being syncretized into local beliefs.

Christianity was syncretized into the old Roman religion.
Syncretized into indeginious faiths of Central and South America.

And similarly in the black diaspora.

Look at Brazil with Candomble and Ubanda.
Cuba with Santeria.
Haiti with Vodou.

Black Americans don't like to think that we practice aspects of Vodun but we didn't escape it because the elements are all there.

Many of the practices in the black church, especially in the denominations that have “praise breaks” and “dancing” and “tongues” where people essentially go into trances are but remnants of things that our enslaved African ancestors brought over.

The idea of using music to “open” oneself up to court a “spirit”. The spirit then coming to “possess” you (filled with the Holy Ghost). The evidence being “dancing” (praise dancing), chanting (tongues), and any other trance like state. It’s all the same.

White people, doing what they do, coopted these practices, sent missionaries to Africa, and now here we are.

All things old are made new.
