This is as against wide speculations that he never showed up during the period to witness and pay last respect to his deceased parent.

I think the major cause of the ban is the Bubu's visa on arrival policy that will accommodate all and sundry including terrorists who will be readily assimmilated as citizens so far they are Muslims and claim they are from Kano.
Were the records not like this before ? Why is US just waking up? Let's ask these salient questions. Our brainless leaders keep dragging us to mud.

He spoke in parables. I remember the Jews trying to stone Christ for churning out some rare statements capable of being understood spiritually but infamy to mere mortal men.

Its simply to be chewed and understood. It could mean: "keep the secretary at arms length" and not "relieve her of her job". The audience also matters in parables and words capable of deep deciphering. It is always directed for consumption of the spiritually mature, but mere canal minded that also get wind of it will always go berserk.

Men Kidnapped, Butchered And Robbed A Chief Of His Property Worth N900M (video)

The FCT police operatives have arrested some men for the gruesome murder of Chief Ignatius Odunukwe.

IG Odunukwe was kidnapped and murdered by these criminals pretending to be real estate buyers.

They deceived and lured him because he wanted to sell his property in Abuja for N900m. They had no intentions of buying the said property but to steal it from Chief Odunukwe using false pretense.

Immediately Chief IG Odunukwe gave them the original documents of the property. They killed him, cut his body bits by bits and disposed it in a sac bag.

However, the body was discovered by the people staying around where it was disposed and the police was alerted.

Motive is still sketchy. Police should deepen their investigation, there s more to this than the story

Excellentmind:

Everybody has a right to hold views, but to present the foregoing as the basis for his argument against Christmas is subjective and therefore unacceptable.
1. There is no particular time of the year that shepherds don't take their flocks for graising .
2. There is no definite time for conducting census; weather does not affect the conduct of census for such impression to hold water.
Therefore, all he has said is his opinion and no one including the members of his congregation should be forced to share his views or antagonize anyone who holds a contrary view.
with due respect to the views of the man of God, those sound so trivial to buttress his point. What's the weather weather thing in an era when things are losing their usual times due to global warming. Don't MFM have experts that would have better advised him on those comments before he went public ?

ifewise:
The Controversy on Christmas, December 25th as Jesus' Birthday: Our Position and Clarification, By MFM

With reference to the varied reactions that have been trailing the message of our General Overseer (Worldwide), Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Dr. Daniel Olukoya, on the celebration of December 25th as Christmas in celebration of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, during the church's weekly Manna Water service on Dec. 25, 2019, we make the following clarifications...

Though the foundation of Christmas is idolatry and God hates idolatry with perfect hatred, we will not throw away the baby and the bath water.
We do not condemn those who celebrate.
Jesus is born in us at MFM every day. His death is our birth certificate.

We will bring out the positive out of the negatives by using all holidays for prayers, conferences seminars, and activities.

We will hold seminars, conventions, camp meetings or special teaching services to pray, examine the scriptures and draw positives from the wrong, negative and idolatry practices of the two events: Easter and Christmas.

We will hold special meetings to re-teach, re-emphasize and reappraise the significance of Jesus' birth, death, cross, and resurrection.

ON DECEMBER AND THE SHEPHERDS
Strange but true! Remember those shepherds who were “keeping watch over their flocks by night”? (Luke 2:cool. December weather around Bethlehem is often miserably cold, wet and rainy. No shepherd in his right mind would have kept his flocks outside at night at that time of year!
The passage argues against the December 25th birth of Jesus Christ since the weather would not have permitted shepherds to be out in the fields with their flocks then.

Also, Luke 2:1-4 tells us that Jesus was born in Bethlehem because his parents came to that town to register in a Roman census.
The Romans were well known as highly efficient administrators. It would have made no sense to have conducted a census in the dead of winter when temperatures often dropped below freezing and traveling was difficult due to poor road conditions. Taking a census under such conditions would have been pointless.

The Bible nowhere tells us to observe a holiday celebrating Jesus Christ’s birth —but it clearly does tell us to do ‘communion’ in remembrance of him.
what's this? Christians selling themselves a penny again over mere date and period chosen for an important event . By the way, what's that weather mantra about the time In Bethlehem and the census? OMG. What of global warming that has changed most things about weather and how they used to be? I am more than disappointed .

Celebrities / Why Is Fela So Respected Despite His Shortcomings? by Panther123: 7:42am On Dec 26, 2019
Just a view, Fela Kuti the Afrobeat music legend lived with many reprehensible habits despicable even to the traditional African norms which he extolled in his songs and also to the western values and religion which he conversely criticized. For instance, Fela had multiple sex partners who he dubbed his wives. He smoked weed in unimaginable proportions and declared free sex and weed so to speak in his shrine.
Good he was an advocate of liberty and good governance which gained him several persecutions in the hands of the Nigerian government and also endeared him to many even outside the shores of Nigeria. He detested religious dogma and neocolonialist tendencies of the West.
I also know legends like Bob Marley and Michael Jackson whose shortcoming are often spoken of
alongside their great deeds and fame but not Fela. Even among the Muslims and Christians which faiths he derided with relish desist from any comment that seems to malign him. Fela once said that white people brought Jesus Christ in order to destroy Africa. I have never seen this being used to even shortcircuit his posthumous accolades. What a man!
Omoyele Sowore in his little struggle has got a lot of backlash even from his kinsmen accusing him of being a political charlatan for speaking from both sides of the mouth, reason they refused to intervene in his cause; he was left to face the music till his American papers and affiliations gained him a resounding freedom from DSS gulag. Nnamdi Kanu also faced a similar fate.
It is true that charismatic leaders' charisma beclouds the psychie of their followers and admirers but Fela possessed no mere charisma, he was and is an enigma. Charismatic leaders like Late Chief Gani Fawehinmi and Ahmed Isah which people I am opportune to come in close contact with never wield such height of attributes. They are mere men but Fela had something of a god. Gani for instance made a regulation for his own funeral and even demonstrated it beyond what may be called a Will; which road map hitherto stands un truncated decades after he was gone. But Fela died and never died!!

Wow! We still have a lot of surprises in this yulitide. Men of the Federal Road Safety Corps have just impounded my car. Asked what's my offence, they said, show me your phone and I turned my phone to him, and the guy said you are under arrest for driving with the aid of Google map on your mobile phones. Wawu!! I'm like seriously!! He said, madam it is a serious traffic offence. I asked to see the team lead, their team lead came and after hearing fro his collegue and me said, "the law forbids motorists from using mobile phones in any form while driving, as it can lead to accident". I can see you are using Google map on your phone. Madam it is distractive so follow us to our office.

This is unbelievable!! You see ba, I have an emergency and have requested for a ticket so I can deal with this later but they said No. I must drive to their office. Well ladies and gentlemen, I've been given a ticket of N4000 payable to Remita my offence is using GPS. They have my car and my keys and my drivers license. When I'm done paying to remita then I will be checked into national hospital for mental examination for using GPS while driving. The real mad folks are those who believe is an offence to drive with Google map. They called Google map a distraction. So if you are driving in Abuja, ditch the GPS and drive on, get to middle of the road stop and ask any road safety or traffic warder thus; oga where is the direction to Apo, Asokoro or just any where you are going. You don't need direction map. The worst kind of illiteracy is the illiteracy of a government.

Please if you have an opportunity to live in a saner place , now is the time to weigh your options and check out. A lot of things don't make sense here.
DM me if you can. This is not an established offence. I will do this case for you if you are interested and they will rather pay you damages for wrongful arrest. Besides, you can't move around aAbuja without GPS. There are just few directional signs
Car Talk / Re: FRSC: Using Google Map While Driving Is A Serious Offence by Panther123: 6:31am On Nov 28, 2019
fergie1989:
The FCT Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ayuba Gora, says driving with the aid of Google Map using mobile phones is a serious traffic offence.

NAN reports that Mr. Gora said this at the inauguration of the 2019 Ember Months Campaign by Lugbe Unit Command of the FRSC in Abuja on Wednesday.

According to him, the law forbids motorists from using mobile phones in any form while driving, as it can lead to an accident.

He also informed motorists that the corps will soon begin enforcement of installation of speed limiting devices.

Mr Gora advised motorists, especially commercial vehicle operators, who have yet to install the device to do so.

“We will embark on massive checks of vehicles without this device soon and arrest those that disconnected the devices from their vehicles.

“It is very important that all vehicles should have the device installed in their vehicles.

“The required speed limit for commercial vehicles even on the highways should not exceed 90 km/hr for buses and taxis.

“By doing this today, we are simply reminding motorists that they must drive with care and observe traffic rules and regulations in order to make the job very easy for all of us.

“If you are arrested this period, you will not just pay fines but must be taken for emotional evaluation test in the hospital to ascertain your mental fitness before we let go,” he said.

He urged the public to dial 122 or 112 in case they noticed unusual behaviour by road users and in the event of an accident.

Mr Gora debunked speculations that the speed limit device damages car engine, saying it had nothing to do with the engine, but only cut fuel supply during attempted speeding.

“Once the vehicle reaches a predetermined top speed, the computer steps in and restricts the flow of air and fuel to the engine and even the sparks that cause combustion.

“Either way, the vehicle will be unable to exceed the top speed as determined by the car’s manufacturer.

“The problem we have with the operators of these vehicles is that, when a speed limiting device has been installed, they tamper with it. In the process of tampering by disconnecting, it leads to a problem,” he added.

https://dailypost.ng/2019/11/27/stop-using-google-map-while-driving-frsc-warns-nigerians/amp/
there are just few directional signages in Abuja different from what we have in major cities like Jo'burg, New York and even Lagos. The major thing that will direct you is google map. Without that you are just driving by mere instincts, climbing bridge and coming down. I heard the same FRSC has been directed to award this contract and huge amount allocated but they are still rotating it around interests for easy embezzlement. FRSC lacks the moral justification to be taking about prohibition of google maps especially when it come to Abuja. Nigeria is the only place where you run with the hare and at the same time hunt with the hounds. I have never seen a place like this in any part of the world.

so sorry, just try your hands again but rethink your answers to those questions . I have never in my life encountered a moment as embarrassing as visa denial in the manner I met it at us embassy. I lived and studies in Europe and just came back from the UK just before my interview. I never knew someone on a scholarship could be denied visa. So I was kind of naive with the Europe mentality. Adibebenny:
Hello everyone please I need ur advice,i was denied last week and some of my friends are suggesting I reapply some say I shouldn't but my family wish I reapply.

Last week I was asked alot of questions by the VO but there are certain questions he asked me that is kind of wary.
First why am I going for master's I replied that my company is on the verge of promoting to a higher level and also to enhance my skills and knowledge he further asked why didn't dubia stamp my exist which I explained to him that I don't know but it was stamped in Nigeria upon my return I don't know if he thinks am lying, the second wary question is if my company would be giving me any funds or token and I replied saying No but they would give me remuneration fee but my dad is my major sponsor he asked what my dad does and I said he works for ministry and he is a supplier he asked to see my statement which I gave him and the 6month statement covers just 3pages meanwhile the VO looked at the statement thoroughly before denying me.

When I got home and asked my dad he said he was informed by someone I don't know to leave my school fees in his account so he wasn't doing anything on the corporate account hr gave me instead he left it there for me until I will be needing it.

Now my company is looking at giving me an agreement letter stating how much they would be supporting me with instead of the remuneration package they said before now they want to break the benefits I would be receiving.

Secondly my siblings here in Nigeria wants to give me their statement of account as supporting documents together with my dad SOA because they have good inflow and outflow.

Please I need your advice on how to make things right my school fees is 23,800 us dollars.

Are this supporting documents necessary can I go with more than my dad SOA.
our stories look similar. I was also refused the F-1 Visa and that would be my second refusal while Preparing for Spring January resumption.
Mine is more bizarre cos I have full funding. To cut a long story short, the question I remebeered that was repeated on the second interview was my family. I am married with 2 kids and the apparent suspicion I reckon could be that I am planning to abscond with them to the US. I told the VO that my wife has a big business but that peharpse sounded unconvincing meanwhile they are not going with me but would visit during vacation and I would also visit when I'm on holls. Besides my phd research entails field worl that would .evwn be done in Nigeria after about 2 yeare of course work. After the first refusal everyone including my school was like just be straight to point and maintain a simple rule : if you are not asked, don't answer; if you are not requested to, don't supply. I did this and got fokd again. I remebered I was even discussing my research with the VO on the first interview and she listened with rapt attention. About the above rule, I think some straight answers are shrouded in some negative assumption when further explanations are not rendered. Again, it seems to me like any visa for longer stay no matter what justification has got some strict restrictions recently. VO was quick to increasingly probe my family including asking the kind of work my wife does and how old my kids are but ignored the information that I managed to quease in under tense questioning that my company gave me a leave of absence and that I earn really big (who will leave such salary behind?). I have enough money in my account despite the funding and my brother also gave me his account statement and sponsorship letter (he didnt want to see that). It may be sheer luck against me but its quite bizarre. I have since braced up and become more determined than ever (pls no spiritism here, I don't really entertain such like village people things)
Lastly I am also in a big dilemma whether to try. 3rd time. And could there be a date in this December?
Its still a mystery to me why the visa was denied a second time.
