M.Sc.PH/MPH Candidates

1. CBT exams
2. How many questions - 60
2. How many hours/time allowed – 50 – 60mins
3. consisting of purely--CLINICAL, OCCUPATIONAL, PUBLIC HEALTH, STATISTICS. community health questions- preventive health care/Mgt, diseases, cures, treatment, Medical STATISTICS, Epidemiology
(past questions shld guide u on this)
4. calculator allowed in the hall
5. Repetition of questions is about 85%
6. What should they read apart from past questions? BASIC PUBLIC HEALTH FOR PRIMARIES,

Advised from current Msc student:
BASIC PUBLIC HEALTH FOR PRIMARIES and statistics, be current with diseases

Area of problem for candidates:
Most MSC students find it very confusing as they have no prior knowledge of these areas.- Medical STATISTICS, Epidemiology is the real issues. as you calculate frequency, variances, median, mode, studies etc

MY ADVISE: READ PAST Q and Answers and basic community health textbooks. read more about Medical STATISTICS, Epidemiology Do topical readings

get more exams formats from my blog

Malaria testing made easy wink

NYSC / In Need Of Urgent Cash? This Is For You by paradigm001: 10:34pm On Mar 16, 2016
This opportunity is for anyone in need of an urgent petty cash. All u need to do is to follow the few steps below;

Firstly, get familiar with the novel product; URINE MALARIA TEST(UMT) KIT, how it works and it's benefits and advantages in our world today.

The UMT is a simple (no blood, no reagent, no equipment, visually-read ) urine-based dipstick test for rapid diagnosis of Plasmodium Falciparum Malaria in patients with fever. It detects the presence of P falciparum proteins in the urine of febrile patients with just few drops of urine sample.
We will always acknowledge microscopy being the gold standard for malaria testing but at thesame time, we are also familiar with the challenges encountered in microscopy and this includes : Services of a well trained microscopist needed , requires regularly calibrated microscope, adequate power supply, invasive, blood sample collection can be so painful and sometimes difficult from children, Time consuming, Sometimes difficult for large scale epidemiological studies, etc.
However, another method for malaria testing is by the use of the Rapid blood diagnostic test (RDT) which also involves blood sample collection, thus making it an invasive method and painful.

The UMT on the other side, tests for malaria in 25mins or less with just few drops of urine sample. No blood, no reagents, no equipment, readily available in point of care, doesn't require services of a trained personel, no pains and its very convenient. It's a useful diagnostic test tool and allows Doctors to stand on top of their own diagnostic decisions, as they can test for malaria in their patients right in their offices.

Secondly, introduce UMT to any organization you know. Organizations such as ;
*Foundations ( where free donations are being made)
*Corporate social responsibilities (where free health Checks are being made)
*Field medical outreaches
*Churches outreaches
*And so on....

Thirdly, enjoy the benefit>>>> For every 5cartons of UMT purchased by this organizations, u'll get a cash prize of #10,000.

Note: There are just 20 boxes of UMT in a carton.

Why did I decide to bring it on nairaland?

I introduced UMT to a youth corper in lagos (who is still on service ), told him of the benefits and he was interested. He introduced it to his Medical CDS group as they were already making plans for medical outreach in villages and for the low profile ppl. Suprisingly they ordered for 10 cartons of UMT, so he got #20,000 cash prize in just less than 3days and donations were also made to them for their outreach.
So, I thought this could be a little bit of an opportunity for us to earn cash in this little way.

Hello naija corpers, how una dey? grin If you belong to the medical CDS group, let me hear u say heeeeyyyyoooo cheesy
Okay, for those of us in d medical CDS group, who are basically involved in medical community outreaches, that is, giving free medical check up to people e.g free malaria testing, there's a new product that is available for conducting malaria test easily; the URINE MALARIA TEST STRIP . No more blood, reagents or equipments, it requires only the urine sample of your patients and the result can be read in less than 25mins. For more info pls send an email to ronky3a@yahoo.com
Thanks
