Thank you for your promt reply, once i get my AD, what do i need to take along to the embassy, other than my admission letter and blocking confirmation, do i need amymore documents? Also, what do i prepare for, i mean composure, questions likely to be asked. I have been for an interview once with the American embassy and i pretty much failed woefully. Any heads up? Aerofly76: |

Thank you so much. Are there any serious complications for blocking without an AD? I will cancel at the end of this month if i dont get a date and book a fresh one. Thank you in anticipation. Aerofly76: |

These thread and posts have been really helpful, thank you to everyone here for the support. Straight to my point. I booked category B since July for an admission which is to commence this Spetember. I got a confirmation from the embassy saying it would contact me before resumption in approxiamtely 2-3 months, but got nothing. The school asked if i had blocked, which truly i had done even without an appointment date(hoping the date would come in time). Anyways, the school has given me an offer of extension till next year March, saying that if the embassy does reply me and give me a date, i should put in for March. I already made the mistake of blocking before my appointment date is issued. My questions are: Do i cancel my appointment and book a fresh one or leave the exisiting one in play? What are the implications of blocking without an appointment in view? Do i need to have any documents with me other than the blocking receipt and admission letter for my interview? ( if i am eventually given a date) There are so many terms i do not understand on this page..such as VO, SL, AM etc. Can someone please break the terms down. |

Please i am new here, my question goes thus. I have been selected from a Bsc programme to kick off in October i Germany. I have read so much here today and i found out, it was advisable i booked an appointment fast as time is running out. My issues include the following. I chose category B long term visa for more than 90 days. I have a second class lower degree. Did i choose correctly or i should have chosen category A. If so do i cancel the appointment? Also i read that i needed a general health insurance upon appearing at the embassy, how do i go about this? I have no idea. The travel insurance is also a document i need but must it be among the documents i take along to the embassy? If yes how do i also go about this? Lastly, i made a mistake with Fintiba as to the account opening, i chose fintiba plus instead of a fintiba basic. I already sent a mail to the effect, but is there any other thing i can do to rectify my mistake. I hope i posted in the right section. Thank you in anticipation. |
