You were playing kalukalu.

Kindly take God out of your gambling habit.

Ajaoogbo:
For record purposes, on 5th February 2019 I prayed and asked God to reveal to me who would be the next President of Nigeria. To be explicit, I wanted a very clear message; so I wrote the names of the two top contenders and folded it.

At the first pick while closing my eyes, I picked Buhari. Not so satisfied with that, I prayed for confirmation from God while I refolded the papers.

Again, I still picked Buhari. I was not so so happy with all these outcomes but believed God could still change any situation.

Again on 14th February 2019, I still sought for God's opinion. This time around I called my lovely daughters. Before we prayed, our agreement was that since they were 3 whoever had more votes between Buhari and Atiku would be God's choice.

After prayers, the three of them took turns to pick. Guess what?

They all picked Buhari! 3/3!!

That's my account and I implore all Nigerians to accept this if it finally comes to manifestation.

God's blessings and protection as you go out tomorrow to exercise your franchise.

You are actually very sick. It takes grand delusion to accept known falsehood as truth.

The company you are citing in the document has PUBLICLY disclaimed the entire document; and debunked it as a total fake and fraud. Case closed.

It takes a special kind of mental retardation to keep pushing the debunked fake news after it has been publicly disclaimed and debunked by its purported source.

Probably your only aim here is to further delude your already deluded minute gang of SLOWPOKES.

Your government is the #1 author and distributor of fake news.

Shut up, Keyamo.

[s]

sogoajayeoba:
DESPERATE PLANS BY PDP TO LAUNCH A SERIES OF CAREFULLY CHOREOGRAPHED FAKE NEWS EVERY SINGLE DAY TILL VOTING DAY.

In a move reminiscent of how the PDP hired Cambridge Analytica in 2015 to scare voters from voting for President Muhammadu Buhari, we understand the PDP is at it again a few days to the actual voting day. This time, sources within the heart of the operations of the PDP and security sources have informed us of plans already concluded by the PDP and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s campaign team to roll out a series of fake news designed again to scare voters from voting for President Muhammadu Buhari. These fake news would consist of doctored videos and audio clips and fake news reports from fake news sites.

Two of such fake news in the series have already been released through their proxies and nameless individuals. The first is an audio clip of a supposed “nurse” of President Muhammadu Buhari telling voters that the President is sick and cannot govern for another four years. We understand that a Nigerian girl whose real name is Sandra and who used a fake British accent did the said recording somewhere in Maitama in a house belonging to a PDP chieftain. Security operatives are already on her trail.

The second fake news released is on the purported death of Leah Sharibu. This is a lie from the pit of hell as the Federal Government’s effort to set her free has reached an advanced stage.

The other fake news lined up for the next few days by the PDP and Atiku’s handlers would consist of similar doctored audios, videos and fake news with no link to credible news sites.

Our advice to the leadership of the PDP is that Nigeria must not burn because of their selfish ambition. Enough damage was done from these kinds of narratives they pushed out in 2015 from which we have not fully recovered till date.

The election will come and go and Nigeria will remain one united, indivisible entity. We are shocked that the panic mode of the PDP has gone into overdrive, prompting them to push out such reckless fake news.

We wish to advise the leadership of the PDP that in order to reduce this type of panic and desperation on their part in 2023 (that is, if they survive as a party), they must find something meaningful to do outside government patronage after they lose the 2019 election. This type of attitude is borne out of hanging around, idle and waiting endlessly for election cycles to try to get back to power to plunder our national resources. The bad news for them is that from feelers we are having on the ground, Nigerians are not yet prepared to forgive them for their 16 years of misrule, mismanagement and outright stealing of our national resources.

Nigerians should, therefore, be on the alert regarding these series of fake news in the next few days.

Thank you.

For starters, the US is not a socialist state. And yes, Government cannot solve your problems sustainably. You need to wake up and take full responsibility for your life.

Neither health insurance (including the universal cover in places like the UK) nor 'basic social security" benefits (as you called it) is free. The rich folks and the middle class pay for these things. And most of those who learn to depend on social welfare for their survival don't get any better at the long run. Instead, they get weaker and worse off both socially and economically.

Nothing gets your ass off the social welfare trap like taking absolute personal responsibility for the outcomes of your life as an individual.

Any society that tilts towards socialism by any standard (with it's usual excessive taxation and regulatory bureaucracy) faces imminent decline in gross productivity and social/economic sustainability.

By the way, having a common sense and very efficient social intervention programs FOR THOSE WHO REALLY NEED IT (like the very old, sick and jobless folks amongst us) - as done in the US - is not the same as running a fundamentally socialist and unrealistic government like Sowore is proposing to do.

So, don't you think it's time to forget all the bull dung that you've been probably fed by your unproductive, lazy-ass, and unhappy teachers?

Please, go and check out the ancient and modern history of Venezuela for a clue.

BigBashiru:

But you want to go to us and Canada and UK that are socialist states?? And you even go as far as calling it crap...

You are also insinuating that looted funds should not be used to provide basic social security; if u hv an accident and the doctor refuses to give you emergency healthcare until you pay 5milion cash and you die - you prefer that to being treated and the doctor repaid by the govt? And the governors should keep the funds they are looting?

I feel sorry for blacks.

There is NO MORAL JUSTIFICATION for making Buhari the president of Nigeria a second time - EXCEPT TO PUNISH THE MASSES OF TODAY and jeopardize the future of the unborn kids.

Just like in Sodom, the only way a Buhari second term would have happened is only if there were no more righteous people in the land. But there are still righteous people in the country. More than enough.

So, Buhari is not coming back!

PMB has ravished the land with hunger. So no honest and sane person cares about his alleged godhood anymore. Dude, Hungerbad for real. grin grin

Meanwhile, if you are from the north, would you vote for just 4 more years of leadership or for 8 possible years of same?

So, the state governors should now be the one to repair the same federal road , that folks like you claim that Buhari had already repaired, right?

So, during the last holidays, I chose to get to Nigeria's South East via Lagos by road using the public transport system. To my utter astonishment, the federal highways that linked Lagos to Enugu, were all good until you get to Onitsha.

From the Onitsha exit - en route to Enugu - the road was an absolute disgust and pure menace. I was so shocked that I had to randomly instruct my nephew to capture a bit of the sheer state of dilapidation that the so called Enugu - Onitsha express way was in. This was the same road that the APC e-lying machine has kept claiming that Buhari has repaired.

In fact, the other folks in the bus were mighty mad at the hypocrisy of the present government; and were pretty excited to see someone record the literal death trap that's hypocritically called Enugu - Onitsha express road.

We took over 100 shots of the DELIBERATELY IGNORED ROAD, unfortunately this space would only allow me to share 4.

Please, kindly bear in mind that these were captured at the peak of the dry season. Can you just imagine what the road would look like as Nigerians enter the season of rainfall?

Note that, as you can see from the pictures, one lane of the dual carriage way is already unusable.

Haba! @Seun, @Mynd44, @OAM4J for how long would you let blatant fake news slip through to the front page and stay there? Imagine the scale of mass misinformation that you lend your platform to?

Case in point is this: https://www.nairaland.com/4995746/inherited-170-million-parents-peter

For goodness sake, we all watched the Candidate live. Peter Obi never made the claim being purported by Sahara Reporters AmarachiNnoli in that thread, and you all know it. Here's the video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ez17m8I4Yqw

...

Is it monetary inducement? Promise of influence? Partisanship? Compromised moderation? Honest mistake?

Seun, I know perfectly well that you and Nairaland can do much better than this.

....

Edit*

I just noticed now that the fake news I referred to in the above link actually ORIGINATED from the OP (@AmarachiNnoli ) here on Nairaland and NOT FROM SAHARA REPORTERS as I earlier posited. AmarachiNnoli simply wrote a pile of falsehood and fooled us all by citing an actual Sahara Reporters content that's totally different from what she wrote.

This shows that the mod who pushed that thread to the front page was either complicit or simply did not care to verify the story and the cited source before moving the FAKE NEWS to the front page. This is so bad, Seun.

It is as clear as a summer day.

But let me call it here, in case there's any sophisticated slowpoke who's still in doubt. Here are the first things APC will do if you stupidly vote them in at the center a second time:

1) They will increase corporate tax, personal income tax and VAT (without any increase in your income). You will cry blood to no avail. To make matters worse, the proceed of high tax will not be used for human/infrastructural development. Nope. They will tax you like hell and use the money to fund government and loans. At the ends of the day, you will become poorer and there will be more national brain drain and middle class erosion. Finally much more businesses will close down, corruption will multiply in government and public services. And Nigeria's number of people in extreme poverty will skyrocket. And guess what, it will be all your fault.

2) The party will be plunged into a messier political crises after this election. This is because most of the promises that are now being used to lure the warring factions into cooperation with the presidency will be broken. Guess who will suffer the consequences of another 4 years of rudderless and incoherent government? You and your loved ones. Can you imagine the opportunity cost of that silliness? Totally unquantifiable.

3) Due to their insatiable selfish interests, deceits and sheer incompetence in inclusive leadership, they will go ahead to polarise the country to the extreme and get it more dangerously divided. It will literally take an act of God to round off another 4 years circle under this administration as a Nation.

Thing is, you have zero excuses this time. Therefore Karma will pay you accordingly. And the reason is simple: If you cannot hire someone with PMB's level of qualification and capacity to head your organization or business, you have zero moral justification for electing him TWICE to decide and manage the future of hundreds of millions of people (including that of those currently unborn). God will not forgive you.
