Thanks @ jayooh, Michaelamo, tomimy1, catchdwind4rmkd.

I honestly don't see the stunt in this. These are statements of fact:

- Nigerian Youth corpers don't pay tax and make pension remittance. Even though I wasn't keen on this 1 year experience.

- My state does not issue Electronic Tax Clearance Certificate Card (only Lagos state issues this card in Nigeria and I stand to be corrected on this). I provided my tax clearance certificate and pension remittance statements for the assessment period.

Should DIBP request for "Electronic Tax Clearance Certificate card", I will still give them the same explanation (I can't provide what is not available).

This post was mainly to help others still awaiting their assessment outcome. Whenever they get requests for documents that are not applicable to them, all they need to do is to inform the assessor that such document is not applicable to them and also state why it is not. However, they need to do research and be sure it's not applicable to them.

catchdwind4rmkd:
I don't see any stunt in stating the fact or providing correct information.

You should understand that most of these assessors have never left Australia let alone visit Nigeria. So, they treat applications globally rather than based on regional locations.

Asking an applicant from Nigeria for a Social Security is just one of those. And as the OP rightly said, Electronic Tax Clearance Certificate Card is only applicable to Lagos State atm unless other states have joined

I want to use this post to encourage all those waiting for their assessment and to also appreciate all the advice i got with regards the earlier feedback i got from EA.

I waited for 31 Oz working days and 50 days before my application was picked up by an assessor despite the fact that i paid for fast track.

Quoted here was the feedback from the assessor.

I responded by writing an explanatory note with the following comments:

1, For NYSC, please provide:

- I stated that i do not have the requested document because i was only paid stipend during the period and i also attached my NYSC discharge certificate.

2, For upto 6 years job experience:
Please provide Electronic Tax Clearance Certificate Card for the whole period of employment at ......

- I explained that my state does not issue out such card. Also mentioned that Lagos state only recently commenced issuing it out but other states in Nigeria are yet to follow suit.

Less than 48 hours after i responded, I got the positive assessment for all my experience and degree. To God be the glory.

Please keep your faith alive, it will definitely happen.

For NYSC, if you dont provide the requested tax certificate or the other docs as requested, they will not recognize that period of employment. Same thing happened to me.

Franklyly:

Sorry, I don't have that.

But how did you now know about the 2% you quoted here?

Franklyly:

But let me break down your points for you
Age 31 =30
Education Bsc =15
Experience 6yrs =10points
English = 20 points
Total = 75 points.
If your wife assess as accountant, you will get extra 5 points making it 80 points, but no need for that 75 is good enough already.

For a Medical Profession that is only about 2% filled for the year, I guess you will land a grant immediately you apply, you just have to calmly start the process, Congrats your grant is almost certain. For our assessing body, you need to write Eng test before you can submit for assesement so I guess you have to start there, I have a lot more info, we need to connect in pm, congrats bro!!!

Thanks.

zanyzara:

The points is still 60, but a lot of people now have higher points hence they get picked first and used up all the slot. It will revert once the high pointers are all invited.

Zany.

Please, when did they increase the points for invitation to 70 points? Thought its 60 points.

catchdwind4rmkd:
Chemical Engineer is the first and last option for you.

Can't see why you accepted Engineering Technologist even with your 5yrs experience in the Chemical Industry.

Good thing is that you're willing to refine!
It would only cost you more but it's worth every penny.

Submit another application to EA as a Chemical Engineer and ensure that the outcome is a professional engineer.

Cheers!

He beta comot for leicester city.

Make this my Abokii just take this advice o.

AHMED MUSA NEEDS A MOVE AWAY FROM LEICESTER CITY, SAYS VICTOR AGALI
17:36

The former Nigeria international believes the forward has a choice to make before the January transfer window owing to his lack of playing time.

Victor Agali has counselled Leicester City’s Ahmed Musa to consider a ‘favourable’ move away from the King Power Stadium after struggling for regular playing time.
The former CSKA Moscow forward is yet to play a game for the Foxes in the Premier League this campaign after featuring in 21 league games in his debut season in England.

Musa was an unused substitute in Michael Appleton’s side Carabao Cup win over Leeds United after making his maiden appearance for Leicester City U23s in their victory over Chelsea U23s in September.

With Nigeria’s qualification for next year’s World Cup in Russia, the former Schalke 04 and Nice attacker thinks the Nigeria international needs a move to secure his regular playing time irrespective of the tier.

“A move away from Leicester City will be very favourable for him [Ahmed Musa],” Agali told
Goal.
“He still has till the end of this year to make a choice if to go on loan to other clubs in the Championship or stay in the Premier League. It is left for him.

“He's had a good career himself and good appearances with the Super Eagles. You can’t take away the fact that he is a very good player, sometimes it is important we watch the moves we make towards the end of the career.
“He understands the situation at Leicester City better than anyone and he knows why he is not playing at the moment.
“I believe he should look for somewhere else to play regularly and get his match fitness, but it does not really matter if he joins a team lower than Leicester City because all you need is your playing time."
