stanuplane: i don't agree with the OP on diamond bank. i bank with them I've never experienced any of the fault you have so graciously listed. i think ur opinion is biased and you could be an agent from a rival bank. Point out the point that l raised that isn't true. Is it the dead chat button or the unnecessary charges, or their Online customer button that fill your ear with advert or reporting issue to them. My brother l am not working for any bank. I just state what l have been experiencing from them 1 Like |

From the response so far, it shows that Nigeria banking system has disappointed us. I think it would be good if Sanusi should pay more attention to these complaints. Moreover my fellow nairalanders, l think it is high time we start posting their workers name and pictures and each branch that is not performing well. |
Business / Nigeria Banks With Worst Customer Service by pdone: 3:52pm On Oct 10, 2012 |
In your opinion, which of Nigeria banks has worst customer service. Currently I will give it to Diamond bank. First I am always pissed off each time I see their live chat button on their website. The true fact is that the live chat is nothing but a dead chat. If you need urgent help, my advice is never click on the live chat otherwise you will wait until Jesus come again. Secondly, their unnecessary charges, they keep deducting money from your account and name the fee any name. I have sent emails to them asking them their reason for the deduction and what the names mean but no reply. Third, try sending an email inquiry to them and 3 days you haven't heard any thing from them. Fourth, send a complaint about the service, they will reply informing you that they will fix the issue as soon as possible. After five month, come back again you will still see the same particular issue you have reported to them. Fifth, most of the time, call their customer service number and no one will pick the call and yet they claim that it is 24/7 service. Why should they call themselves professionals when they fail to understand their customers need. 1 Like |
Politics / Re: Ojukwu's Interview Just Before Biafra (VIDEO) by pdone: 10:58am On Oct 08, 2012 |
Godjone: I am not happy with Gen. Yakubu Gowon at all. He has failed 2 make genue clearification of points based on what trigger the civil war and the ceeding of bakasi penisula. 4 crying out loud, he is d only living legend dat is in best position 2 give answers and clearifications 2 many of this misconceptions abt the civil war, aburi ghana meetings, the bakasi-cameroon bi-national agreements that led to the ceeding of our territory and so many bt a few to mention. Gowon! Gowon! Gowon! Pls speak-out Nigerians are impatient and want to know what transpired. You mentioned exactly what I have been thinking. I am not a history man but I always enjoy reading a few I can grab. I hope someone can help me answer this few questions 1.) Why is it that on nairaland, there is much hatred towards Awolowo than Gowon? 2.) Why is it that Gowon seems to be a history and no one seem to remember him but he play a great role during the war? 3.) Why is it that on this two articles regarding the war, Awolowo wasn't mentioned. The articles are http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yakubu_Gowon and http://www.africamasterweb.com/BiafranWarCauses.html and yet he is much hated. 4.) Why is it that physically, Yoruba and Igbo seem to friendly with each other but online, they pour much hatred towards each other? Anyway sentiment apart, one of the main cause of the war was because of oil and that is one of the reasons British support Nigeria. When Ojukwu was saying that, I believe he wasn't expecting that Nigeria can get much help from outsiders or he might have underestimate it. The same reason for the Civil War and why Nigeria refuse to go separately is the same reason you and I are suffering today. And that is because of OIL. Nigeria is never a country since the three main ethnic groups have nothing in common. It is the greedy of some men that keeps you and I together. Like I said earlier, sentiment apart, if the oil was discovered in the northern part of the country, Biafra may not want to leave but rather the Nigeria(I mean Hausa) will the the one asking to separate. Instead of discussing Racism, why not discuss the good deeds of other race or nations towards us. In what why can this topic help us? Seun in order to gain traffic, you also promote a thread that causes anger and hatred every time. Most of the time all we see here is Hausa man this, Yoruba man that, Igbo man suck, Somalia this, White people do this, black people do that. There a good people and bad people everywhere. linearity: This is a brilliant idea and shows that Lagos State is preparing for next generation.... Before you said that Chinese is the world most spoken language, please be aware of the chinese population. Besides, countries like Taiwan, Macau, Singapore,HongKong, also speak Chinese. And if I may ask, how many of the research text are you talking about? |

ayox2003: Forget that. Haven't you heard about the phrase "Country's Interest". If you believe that China donates $20bn to Africa just like without any hidden agenda, then you must be living in planet Mars. My guy everything is business and politics as usual. It is just like campaign, a politician will spend extravagantly in order to win an election knowing fully well that once he win, he will recover the money in one way or the other. ayox2003:Are you kidding me? Tell me you are joking. Nigeria still remain the China top customers from Africa. You don't need to have the technology before your country is consider economy opportunity by another country. Check the history of United Arab Emirate and its development. |

ballabriggs: There are indeed loads of dolts in Nigeria who give themselves headache over non-issues. You are shooting yourself on the foot. They are in England learning English right and studying models because they want to be part of the society or earn from the society. Why not force the British people to learn Chinese people the Chinese people are learning models in their country. Since Chinese are looking for business in Nigeria, they should be the ones learning Nigeria language |
Education / Re: Lagos To Introduce Chinese In Public Schools by pdone: 11:27pm On Sep 10, 2012 |
A country learns another country's learn if the country thinks that they will benefit from that country. When China opened up, a lot Chinese started learning English because mostly English is global language especially for business purposes. Besides, most Americans and British are investing in China and also a lot Chinese students were given scholarship to study in USA, Canada, Uk and other countries. They saw English as an essential language for business and development. That is why they studied it. Though in universities, some of them also study other languages like German, French, Spanish but the number are few. Chinese are the people that should be studying most of African languages not the other way round. The reason is that they have more interested in Africa and also gain more. Besides, how many Nigeria students are given scholarship to study in China. 90% of schools in China don't give admission to Nigerians. They only give to other people from other African countries. How many Nigerians have jobs in China? Nigerians are not appreciated in China. What is the essence of studying another man's language that cannot give you job in their own country. What is the essence of studying another man's language that can only give them more opportunity to make profit from your own country. This is crazy. 1 Like |

Vicjustice: And Mr Solomon is here displaying his ancient wisdom by labeling all Nigerians as the same. Mr Solomon even concluded that that all Nigerians are hypocritical on the face of the earth. Mr Solomon if I might ask, what is the different between your post and those of others that encourage her to tell her parents or someone more close with her? |

Politics / Re: Israel Begins Mass Deportation Of Nigerians. by pdone: 11:53am On Sep 08, 2012 |
In what looks like a crackdown on immigrants in their country, Israel has started a massive deportation of Africans comprising mainly Nigerians in what they called ‘operation clean up’. God have mercy on the person that wrote this article. I wonder why some people rejoice or wait for any bad news that comes out from Nigeria. For your information, Nigerians are not the main African immigrants in Israel. Get your facts right next time Mr Journalist!! 3 Likes |
