Bro agents cannot do the work for you of acceptance into an LLM, which would have required you write rigorous statement of intent and provide a copy of a graded writing project or a thesis proposal. Agents can't write you a thesis proposal, so they would rather slap you with a graduate certificate so they could do the minimum work possible. Good news is LLM is readily available if you would take time to go through the rigorous admission process, it will pay off with getting your visa. Sit down, buckle your belt and work through the process yourself. Queens, Trent, Calgary have good LLM programs with scholarships. We are here if you need to ask any questions. Good luck!

Ps: expand your search beyond UToronto, extremely competitive. Get medium competitive and less competitive schools into the mix to apply. Expand your chances by not applying to only one school is what I am saying in essence.

Thanks for the info...but i have a 2:2 which makes it quite difficult to go in directly for LL.M and most of the schools require a 2:1....
What is the way out?

Goodmorning all, I am new to this forum. I applied for TRV in 2016 for a graduate certificate course in Human resource management at Conestoga college but was denied on this grounds:

Purpose of visit
Current employment situation

Although, my first degree is Law. While searching for an LL.M admission, I was told by the agent that I didnt meet the requirement which was a 2:1 and I had a 2:2. He tried looking for a lower certificate related course but couldnt find any as most of ones I found were only for canadian citizens. So I opted for a graduate certificate in HRM ( as advised by the agent)since I just had a few months work experience on it and as a lawyer I could act in that capacity( I wasnt aware of how the canadian education system works).

I am considering re-applying with a masters in law( with 4yrs professional experience) since I have been able to find a school(university of toronto- after thorough search) to which I have the necessary requirement(3.0/4 based on final year of study GPA assessment).

Does anyone think I have good chances of being successful with my application?
