Politics / Re: PDP NWC Submits Reports On Wike As NEC Meets Thursday by Penguin2: 2:32am On Apr 17
PDP is a party of jokers.

They asked State chapters to give them names of those who played anti-party in the last election? Imagine the joke.

So, they expect Rivers State Working Committee that is in Wike’s pocket to submit Wike’s name as one of those that played anti party?

Those vagabonds will rather submit Uche Secondus, Austin Opara, Lee Maeba’s names.

Now, what will NWC do if Rivers SWC doesn’t submit Wike’s name? It would therefore mean that Wike did not play anti party abi?

You see why I said they are jokers?

But I say it again, you see the way Wike was embarrassed at PDP convention in 2022, the embarrassment that awaits him will be louder.

Lol!

I keep saying it here and I will reiterate it, Wike’s embarrassment will be televised.

He is now the real BAT 🦇. He betrayed PDP and those in party will never trust him. Those in APC are equally weary of him because they know the character he is.

I will be watching and waiting to see how the PDP NEC meeting will pan out.

But just like Wike was embarrassed and humiliated at the National Convention of the party after he thought he had everything figured out, that’s how he would be embarrassed again.

The most unfortunate thing is that the ijiots urging him on here are not either from Rivers State nor are they from South South.

Emperor Wike will end up a political orphan and liability to the extent Tinubu would even dissociate himself from him.

Let’s watch.

KingPure:
In my humble opinion, I really want to believe that you're purely micro-managing the whole truth concerning this matter. I'm not a Bini man and neither am I from Edo State.

As a matter of fact, I find it difficult to understand the rationale behind two (2) successive Ọba giving out their daughters to a so-called "traitor" if truly they see him in the light, according to you and your sources.

Again, I can not just understand how and why the Ọba of Benin keep showering titles on the seeds of a certain traitor. I'll really want to understand why His Majesty, according to your brief, would grant one Obaseki, an Exams of Benin, but later frown at another Obaseki vying to become a governor.

Clearly, the logic of your source is far beyond me.

First, Oba Ovonramwen, the one he eventually betrayed, gave him his daughter in marriage when they still had good relationship and Obaseki controlled trading on behalf of the kingdom and was doing well and bringing good returns to the king. So, in appreciation, the king gave one his daughters to him in marriage.

Now, later on when Oba Ovonramwen’s son, Oba Eweka 11, became king, Oba Eweka gave his daughter to him as an apology for a supposed wrong done to Obaseki.

Read deep and in detail to have a complete grasp of how things happened before coming up with your doubts.

Tumbum Tumbum government

They removed subsidy and later shamelessly returned it and paying even more.

They floated the Naira and later went back to their vomit by using our foreign reserve to defend the Naira like Emefiele was doing which is why the reserve is depleting.

I’m sure that’s why they shamefully released Emefiele after they saw themselves doing what they accused Emefiele of.

Tinubu is empty

His gang of criminals are even emptier

Together they form a bunch of empty-headed criminals only interested in snatching power, running away with it and looting.

There are things I don’t even need to stress my head on because I know it was meant to grab headlines.

How can you deregister a party that has a sitting governor, senators, over 30 House of Rep Members, House of Assembly Members, etc? What will be your reason.

I know Tinubu and his gang of criminals can perpetuate any sort of illegality they so desire but I’m sure they know there are lines that CANNOT be crossed.

Are they mad?

But wait o! Did NLC handover Labour Party to somebody from Lagos? Not every politician from Lagos is to be trusted o! So many of them are under Tinubu payroll and are his agents in opposition camps.

I hope NLC hasn’t committed a faux pas?🧐

tunjilana:

Na everything be betrayal to una. People make choices based on whatever appeals to them but to you is betrayal maybe it is the people that voted for Ekwueme in the primaries that actually betrayed Obasanjo and the people that voted against Falae including Igbos are actually the ones that betrayed yoruba people cos you define betrayal based on your own personal expectation without thinking deeply that everyone has a choice and they have the right to make it and if their decisions don't favor you then you look inwards and create the sentiment/character/coalition that will make them decide for you next time. Why did the sentiment for a yorubaman to be president in 1999 High enough to get northerners and generals in the army to support it? Was it not because yorubas stood up and fought bravely against the injustice metted against one of their own in the person of Abiola!....and by fighting I don't mean confronting well armed military men with shakabula but by leveraging their other strength through the pen and international coalition to surface the evil metted upon them by the military.

The question to you is how are the Igbos addressing the injustice metted to one of them in person of Peter Obi by the PDP who the region served for 2 decades only to deny one of their own access to the platform to contest election thus forcing him to a lesser known party which he had to bootstrap in few months. How are you addressing the Igno delegates who still collected money from Atiku and voted for him in the primaries rather than boycott it in protest. Did you see what the yorubas did for AD in 1999, do you think Falae had any money to give anyone at that time versus a military-backed Obasanjo yet the later couldn't even win his local govt. How resolute and determined are the Igbos to queue behind one voice and use their individual strength, wealth, knowledge etc to win the presidency to themselves rather than allow individualism and greed to prevail. Na to dey fight for share in APC where you contributed little rather than going back home to restrategise and speak loudly with one voice and let the nation know you are ready and serious and this is no longer about money or personal greedy ambition but winning for the region

After PDP (Wike) forced Peter Obi out of the party, what did they get from the region?

Or you do not know that choosing to vote Obi en masse was a decision to punish PDP’s unfairness to the Southeast even though we know it was going to smoothen the path to presidency for Tinubu?

And remind me, when Igbos have demanded anything from APC. Or you confusing the APC as a party and an APC government?

Your own interpretation of reported facts doesn't make your interpretation a reality. Obaseki did not betray the Ọba. If he did, he would have been outcast and banished from Bini Kingdom. If you don't know how Bini traditions work, keep silent. Have a good day.
Because I have chosen to educate you, I will do it to the end.

Agho Obaseki was not banished because Oba Ovonramwen who would have banished him was instead banished to Calabar by the British.

While Oba Ovonramwen was away, Obaseki became the Leader of Benin Kingdom by the design of the British of course.

And when Oba Ovonramwen eventually died and the British, possibly learning that they can’t make Obaseki king without pushbacks by custodians of Benin traditions, they decided to make Oba Ovonramwen’s son king and made Obaseki the Prime Minister and by so doing, the British placed king Eweka 11 below Obaseki. They designed it in a way that the Oba would now have to take instructions from Obaseki. Things remained that way until Obaseki died in 1920.

Now, how was the Oba supposed to banish someone he takes instructions from; someone above him?

Politics / Ganduje's Ward In Dawakin-Tofa LGA Suspends Him From APC For Corruption by Penguin2: 2:44pm On Apr 15
National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has been suspended over alleged corrupt practices.

Ganduje’s membership suspension by his ward came a few days after the former Governor was slammed with eight count charges bordering on corruption and misappropriation of public funds.

Announcing the suspension at a press briefing on Monday legal adviser of the Ganduje ward, Dawakin-Tofa local government area of Kano state Haladu Gwanjo said the former Governor stands suspended as a member of the ward until he exonerates himself of the corruption baggage.

Gwanjo told journalists that executive members resolved to pass a vote of no confidence on the APC acting National Chairman due to his inability to clear his name from a wide range of allegations of corruption, particularly the widely circulated video where he allegedly received dollars as a bribe from a contractor.

According to Gwanjo, “We the leaders of the APC in Ganduje ward, Dawakin Tofa Local Government, engaged in thorough deliberations and subsequently decided to suspend the erstwhile Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, in light of the allegations of bribery involving foreign currency.

“It has come to our attention that Ganduje has been summoned to court to answer for these accusations, a development that we believe could potentially besmirch the reputation of our esteemed political party.

“Because of this we have reached a resolution to pass a vote of no confidence on Ganduje and to collectively on behalf of all executive members of the APC in Ganduje ward, Dawakin Tofa suspend him, until he clear and that of his family at the court.”

The APC leader at Ganduje ward worried that the party is being subjected to unnecessary embarrassment from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) over unsubstantiated allegations of corruption lebelled on Ganduje’s administration.

Gwanjo emphasized that Ganduje ward leaders deem it fit to sack the national chairman to enable him concentrate on the litigation and other issues to clear his image and that of his family.

The legal adviser said that president Bola Tinubu has demonstration commitment in the fight against corruption but the seeming baggage of corruption hanging on Ganduje may dent the president’s efforts.

As LP’s own is beginning to calm down, it’s time for APC.

I've been ignoring your careless use of the word "ancestor". No one refers to a grandparent as an "ancestor". So it's me that has been tolerating your intellectual nonsense. That aside, ease quite ONE reference in your watery Wikipedia source where it says that Agho Obaseki betrayed the Ọba.
A simple analogy to help break it down to elementary level for you.

After Tinubu was sworn in, who was the first person he went for his jugular? Emefiele!

Tinubu went for Emefiele because he felt his Naira redesign policy was targeted at him to make him lose the election.

All those who secretly worked for Tinubu still have their job - Mahmoud Yakubu of INEC, Yusuf Bichi of DS, etc.

Now, I ask you, do you think if Agho Obaseki had stood with the kingdom and joined hands to fight the British, would the British have rewarded him with leadership?

Again, I sent you a link that you have refused to read and cure your historical deficiency. If you read what is there, you would have seen how he engaged in power tussle with Oba Eweka 11, son of Oba Ovonramwen, who succeeded his father after his death in 1914.

Deal with facts and throwing emotional tantrums and blabbing.

He should leave PDP and APC to cancel each other out in Edo Central and concentrate on winning the South massively and getting a reasonable score of votes from the north.

And with this guy being the Yerima of Auchi kingdom, added to the little activities of Obidients in the Edo North, his chances in that zone are definitely brighter now.

You know I deliberately indulged you when you claimed Wikipedia is not reliable because I was hoping you would provide an alternative source. Because Wikipedia is not as unreliable as you claim but because it’s not agreeing with your position, you are trying to discredit it.

Telling me that who asserts must prove is balderdash because even in a law court, the Defense Counsel must provide contrary evidence to disprove the facts and evidence of the Prosecuting Counsel.

So, until you provide contrary and more compelling source to my Wikipedia source, the Wikipedia article is our only authority on the subject matter and it subsists irrespective of your irrational emotions and claims.
