senatordave1:Yes, for the north, rather a Yoruba goat than an Igbo genius. Well, I hope they are enjoying the consignment they ordered. And talking about Obi struggling to win South South, you mean including Wike's Rivers result ab? |

Saintinoo: You know when we are crying on top of our voices for the best candidate to be voted during election, it will seem as though we will be the ones to suffer most if his government turns out a disaster but that's far from the reality. The reality is that good or bad government, the Igbo man will always be good. If economy good, we lower prices of our goods. If economy bad, we high the prices of our goods. So, good or bad, the Igbo man will never be the worst hit. So, if Nigeria like make them get sense. |

With the #EndBadGovernance protest officially concluded, it's time to talk about why the Igbos shunned the protest; an act some were already looking for how to turn it against the tribe. History and experience has taught us that for everything happening in Nigeria, the Igbo man would always be judged differently. Yes, it's not the metrics and yardstick used in judging others that are used in judging the actions of Igbos in Nigeria. In 2003, Ojukwu contested presidential election but Igbos left him and voted Obasanjo. Do you know what the rest of Nigeria said? They said, "look at the people asking for power, they can't even vote one of their own, how do they expect others to vote for them?” Similar thing was said in 2007 when Buhari ran with an Igbo man as running mate but Igbos shunned him and voted Yaradua, a Fulani, who had an Ijaw man as running mate. Other similar instances abound. Now, fast forward to 2023, and Igbos voted en masse for an Igbo man and the rest of the country were like "see people that want other tribes to vote for them, they voted only for one of their own and gave him 99% of their votes." It mattered less to people like that that the reason the tribe voted that way for Peter Obi was because of his competence and not because he is Igbo. If you want to know if you Igbos vote their tribesmen only, tell your party to give their presidential ticket to Rochas Okorocha, Orji Uzor Kalu or Hope Uzọdịmma and see how many votes they will get from Igbos. Then to APC.... When the cult that call themselves APC came together in 2013, Igbos were the first people to reject the party and even went ahead to tag it a "Muslim party" and made the party an anathema in the Southeast and other Igbo states of Rivers and Delta. When they eventually handed their presidential ticket to Buhari for the 2015 general elections, the Igbos saw even a stronger reason to reject the party and refused to vote the party in 2015. Buhari won anyways. Now, after Buhari was sworn-in in 2015, he went on a personal vendetta against the Igbos and Southeast, probably for not voting him in the 2015 elections or for rejecting him in the two times he ran with an Igbo man. But despite all Buhari did to the Southeast, the region never stopped making it known to him, at every chance they got, that they don't like him and nothing will ever make that change. In keeping to their hatred for the APC and and Buhari, when the 2019 elections came, the Igbos once again refused to vote the party and chose to vote for Atiku of PDP instead and thereby rejecting APC the second time. It’s imperative to state that the Igbos’ rejection of APC is not driven by mere hatred. No. It is actually driven by the fact that tribe does not believe in anything the party represents. They didn’t believe that Buhari was a better candidate than Jonathan in 2015 and they were proven right as the 8 years Buhari spent in power can best be described as years of holocaust and waste. Then the 2023 elections came…. As the disaster APC foisted on Nigeria in 2015 was rounding off in 2023, the Igbos once again warned the rest of Nigeria of the disaster it portended to rrtain APC as a party in power not to talk of the candidate they presented. When the elections came, the protested again and rejected APC the third time and gave their votes to someone they believed was the best candidate on offer, they even gave him 99% of their votes, but others thought otherwise and conspired to get Tinubu declared. Now, why did Igbos reject Tinubu and APC? Because they don’t believe in him. So, when eventually he took power and started failing woefully, Igbos were not disappointed because they already knew what the outcome would be which was why they rejected him at the polls. Now, since they were not disappointed, they were not angry and therefore saw no need to protest. But not so with those who voted and those who joined in conspiring to get Tinubu declared because he “built lagos and tamed the atlantic” or maybe because they would see a goat from another region rule Nigeria than an Igbo genius, they had hopes, they actually Tinubu would “assemble best brains” and “renew their hope”. So, when the disaster set in from his very first day in office, disappointment is not enough to described what they felt. So, it is this second set of people that, for whatever reason, believed Tinubu had the capacity to do anything good in Nigeria that were disappointed, and their disappointment turned to anger and frustration and then they saw the need to protest. So, in case you have been wondering why Igbos refused to join the #EndBadGovernance Protest and many other stupid protests before it, or you are part of those that wanted to accuse Igbos of keeping quiet while the rest of the country was trying to fight against bad governance, know it today that Igbos started protesting against APC and their bad governance since 2015; and had the rest of the country agreed with us then, APC wouldn’t have taken root at all and we wouldn’t be where we are today. But no, they chose to call Igbos “wailing wailers”. Who is “wailing” now? Good morning to the rest of you if you have finally woken to the evil that APC is which the Igbos saw as far back as 2015; and if you still haven’t woken up, continue to sleep well. senatordave1:Please don't overrate him. If not that the fear of the Igbo, Peter Obi, made the north team up to rig Tinubu in, he would have been beaten silly in the last election. Thank you! |

humilitypays:Thank you for trying to help him. You know it can be very frustrating when you see how shallow and shortsighted a lot of Nigerian youths are, and these are people who claim to be educated. Little wonder they keep voting for ijiots and expect them to perform miracle and wonders. 1 Like 1 Share |

Ojiofor:What assurance do you have that after Atiku's tenure, they will hand power to Peter Obi, an Igbo man? See, if we take emotions away, we would realize that this people have been our problem for so long. In 2019, we saw Imams preaching against Atiku's ticket just because Peter Obi was his running mate. What makes you think such people will hand over to Peter Obi? Or when Atiku's tenure is over, they will come up with a different machination. They got themselves injured, let them lick their wounds without any body's because we can't trust them. 1 Like |

Caveat: There's need to state that by 'north' here, I am referring to the northern mafias, Kaduna Mafia if you please, who have over the years constituted themselves as kingmakers of Nigeria whereby only the person they approve of can become president of Nigeria whether from their northern region or the south. So, by north, I'm not referring to the entire region nor the poor northern masses who are mere victims of the machinations of this mafia over the years. Now that we have stated that, let's into the meat of this piece. Any critical follower of politics in Nigeria will know that the high turnout of protesters in the north in the recently concluded #EndBadGovernance Protest was engineered by this northern mafia as a way of registering their frustration at how powerless they've become since they conspired to hand power over to Tinubu; maybe because they thought he was frail and might go the Yaradua way but man seems to have gotten new life since he was sworn in. The north has never been as powerless, politically, as they are now, and it seems Tinubu is bent on making sure he breaks their hold on Nigeria which was used to making them think they own the country. They are afraid of this happening but I think it's too late for them already. Many may not have realized the game the north wanted to play in 2023 but I will mention it. In 2023, this northern cabal wanted to retain power in the north through Atiku and the plan was to ensure that they make rubbish of the APC ticket to prevent a strong candidate from emerging so that Atiku's path will be smoother. This is why they wanted to useless the APC ticket by announcing Ahmed Lawan as consensus candidate. They knew nobody would vote Lawan which would leave Atiku as the most manageable option. But something happened. Throughout their years of calculations and strategy before the 2023 elections, they never envisaged Peter Obi. They never knew that a certain Peter Obi would go to a different party and take the eastern and northern Christians votes they were banking on for Atiku away from him. When the Peter Obi wave became too much and the north saw that the Atiku project will no longer work, add Wike and his Asoebi boys’ shenanigans too, they were now faced with a choice of either allowing Peter Obi ride on his wave to victory or ‘deliver’ Tinubu. They chose Tinubu instead. Yeah, I said they chose Tinubu because what happened in 2023 elections wouldn't have happened if these 'owners of Nigeria' were not in support. Obasanjo knew what he was talking about, and the people he was referring to when he wrote his open letter endorsing Peter Obi in 2023. Why did they choose Tinubu? Many factors contributed to them choosing Tinubu. First, Peter Obi is an Igbo man, a tribe they are scared of allowing get power for whatever fear they harbour. Again, Tinubu’s Muslim Muslim ticket, which was specifically chosen to deceive them and it worked, making them think they were doing Allah’s work by choosing Tinubu. Similarly, during campaigns, Tinubu seemed he was nearing his death. So, their calculation may have been that if he goes the way of Yaradua, then power will return to the region faster. All these and other factors made them decide that Tinubu should have it and instruction was given as such which is why a character like Mahmoud Yakubu could do what he did because he was acting on instruction from his superiors already; that’s aside the money that may have exchanged hands also. All of this is why the north feels Tinubu owes them. Now, why are they angry? You might ask. 1) Subsidy: Since Tinubu took power, he removed subsidy. When they talk about the vultures that were benefiting and feeding fat on subsidy payments, believe me when I tell you that most of them were northerners. Tinubu’s removal, or redirection, of subsidy payment has taken feeding bottle off their mouth and they are fighting back. 2) Exchange Rate Unification: It’s common knowledge that northerners dominate the Bureau De Change market in Nigeria with claims having been made in the past that these men used to source their dollar directly from the CBN and resell at Black Market rate to make excessive profit at the expense of Nigerians. The exchange rate unification has taken food from a lot of northern Alhajis who are the real owners of these businesses. 3) Appointments: The north spent 8 years defending Buhari's nepotistic appointments and justifying them with the most irrational reasons ever heard. What they never imagined is that a time would come when they would be the ones crying against another person's nepotism. Yes, Tinubu has broken every nepotistic record set by Buhari with nearly 80% of the appointments he has made since he took power going to the Yoruba, and the north considers that an affront. They feel they deserved more from Tinubu for 'helping' him to power. Again, they feel only one of theirs can dare to be nepotistic as Buhari was. How dare a southerner? 4) Politically: Politically, Tinubu seems to have succeeded in keeping every member of that evil circle away from his government like the likes of Elrufai, and they are not happy they are not inside. If anything, the reason somebody like Elrufai supported Tinubu was because he wanted to be Vice President. But with Tinubu shutting him out now, he has seen the pathway to his presidency dimmed which would delay, or kill, whatever agenda they want to achieve with power which they fail to achieve with Buhari. 5) Restructuring and Regionalism: If there’s anything the north hates, it’s the idea of Nigeria being restructured and the country going back to regionalism which they feel would greatly put them at a disadvantage as they are the biggest beneficiaries of the current dysfunctional structure. Now, during campaigns, Tinubu never said anything about restructuring but since he took power, we have seen documents flying around in the media space on how Nigeria is to be restructured with even a proposed return to regionalism. The presidency has never disowned this document which has heightened the fear of the north that their greatest fear might end up happening from someone they thought had no interest in that without realizing that they were simply played. Or maybe they have realized. In a nutshell, the north was beaten at their own game in 2023 and now they are looking for a way out. In looking for this way out, they have started fraternizing with Peter Obi to try to convince him to be Atiku’s running mate in 2027 so that Atiku can hand over to him after 4 years. But I write this to tell Peter Obi to never make himself available for such deal in 2027. In 2027, the north must choose between Peter Obi or Tinubu. If they fear Igbo man so much that they cannot allow him get to power then I don’t mind Southeast voting for Tinubu to continue in power. And once Tinubu gets his second tenure and has nothing to lose anymore, he would finish off everything he has eyes on - to ensure Nigeria is completed restructured with a return to regionalism. So, in conclusion, in 2027, the north must choose between southern candiates and no southerner, not much Peter Obi, should help save them from the misery they got themselves into by themselves. I’ve seen early signs of them trying to throw the Jonathan joker in 2027 but that’s story for another day as we watch events unfold. Pengiun is a bird of reason! 35 Likes 4 Shares |

One million red flags in one report. First, the report is from Nation's Newspaper who would do anything to manufacture imaginary crisis in Ohaneze. Second, the Omenazu guy is obviously a Wike lackey seeking to take hold of Ohaneze and use it to run Wike's errands which is why Ime-Obi, in their wisdom, stepped down the approval of his nomination. For the record, Ime-Obi has the powers to reject anyone nominated by a state chapter to fill in their position in Ohaneze. That Ime-Obi raised no objection on Iwuanyanwu's nomination does not mean that it must not raise objection on Omenazu's nomination. If anything, the fact that Omenazu has ran to Nations Newspaper to try to create the imprrssion of an imaginary crisis in Ohaneze and accuse the group of marginalization already justifies why he is not the character to lead Ohaneze. And I hope when that when elections come in January when it will be the turn of Rivers to produce the President General of Ohaneze, that he would still not get it. Lastly, I thought Ronus have spent their entire existence swearing and arguing that there are no Igbos in Rivers, what would they say now that their darling Nations Newspaper is reporting of how a Rivers man is laying claim to the presidency of Ohaneze? Abi na Ijaw man wan be president of Ohaneze? It's good to always see every of your lies fall like a pack of cards by itself in your very presence. Ikwerre is Igbo; and not in a million years would there be a change in that no matter who disagrees with that and no matter how history is distorted. 13 Likes 2 Shares |

PDP is a party of jokers. They asked State chapters to give them names of those who played anti-party in the last election? Imagine the joke. So, they expect Rivers State Working Committee that is in Wike’s pocket to submit Wike’s name as one of those that played anti party? Those vagabonds will rather submit Uche Secondus, Austin Opara, Lee Maeba’s names. Now, what will NWC do if Rivers SWC doesn’t submit Wike’s name? It would therefore mean that Wike did not play anti party abi? You see why I said they are jokers? But I say it again, you see the way Wike was embarrassed at PDP convention in 2022, the embarrassment that awaits him will be louder. 18 Likes |

Lol! I keep saying it here and I will reiterate it, Wike’s embarrassment will be televised. He is now the real BAT 🦇. He betrayed PDP and those in party will never trust him. Those in APC are equally weary of him because they know the character he is. I will be watching and waiting to see how the PDP NEC meeting will pan out. But just like Wike was embarrassed and humiliated at the National Convention of the party after he thought he had everything figured out, that’s how he would be embarrassed again. The most unfortunate thing is that the ijiots urging him on here are not either from Rivers State nor are they from South South. Emperor Wike will end up a political orphan and liability to the extent Tinubu would even dissociate himself from him. Let’s watch. 3 Likes |

KingPure:First, Oba Ovonramwen, the one he eventually betrayed, gave him his daughter in marriage when they still had good relationship and Obaseki controlled trading on behalf of the kingdom and was doing well and bringing good returns to the king. So, in appreciation, the king gave one his daughters to him in marriage. Now, later on when Oba Ovonramwen’s son, Oba Eweka 11, became king, Oba Eweka gave his daughter to him as an apology for a supposed wrong done to Obaseki. Read deep and in detail to have a complete grasp of how things happened before coming up with your doubts. |

Lol! Tumbum Tumbum government They removed subsidy and later shamelessly returned it and paying even more. They floated the Naira and later went back to their vomit by using our foreign reserve to defend the Naira like Emefiele was doing which is why the reserve is depleting. I’m sure that’s why they shamefully released Emefiele after they saw themselves doing what they accused Emefiele of. Tinubu is empty His gang of criminals are even emptier Together they form a bunch of empty-headed criminals only interested in snatching power, running away with it and looting. There are things I don’t even need to stress my head on because I know it was meant to grab headlines. How can you deregister a party that has a sitting governor, senators, over 30 House of Rep Members, House of Assembly Members, etc? What will be your reason. I know Tinubu and his gang of criminals can perpetuate any sort of illegality they so desire but I’m sure they know there are lines that CANNOT be crossed. Are they mad? But wait o! Did NLC handover Labour Party to somebody from Lagos? Not every politician from Lagos is to be trusted o! So many of them are under Tinubu payroll and are his agents in opposition camps. I hope NLC hasn’t committed a faux pas?🧐 23 Likes 3 Shares |

tunjilana: After PDP (Wike) forced Peter Obi out of the party, what did they get from the region? Or you do not know that choosing to vote Obi en masse was a decision to punish PDP’s unfairness to the Southeast even though we know it was going to smoothen the path to presidency for Tinubu? And remind me, when Igbos have demanded anything from APC. Or you confusing the APC as a party and an APC government? |

airsaylongcome:Because I have chosen to educate you, I will do it to the end. Agho Obaseki was not banished because Oba Ovonramwen who would have banished him was instead banished to Calabar by the British. While Oba Ovonramwen was away, Obaseki became the Leader of Benin Kingdom by the design of the British of course. And when Oba Ovonramwen eventually died and the British, possibly learning that they can’t make Obaseki king without pushbacks by custodians of Benin traditions, they decided to make Oba Ovonramwen’s son king and made Obaseki the Prime Minister and by so doing, the British placed king Eweka 11 below Obaseki. They designed it in a way that the Oba would now have to take instructions from Obaseki. Things remained that way until Obaseki died in 1920. Now, how was the Oba supposed to banish someone he takes instructions from; someone above him? |

airsaylongcome:A simple analogy to help break it down to elementary level for you. After Tinubu was sworn in, who was the first person he went for his jugular? Emefiele! Tinubu went for Emefiele because he felt his Naira redesign policy was targeted at him to make him lose the election. All those who secretly worked for Tinubu still have their job - Mahmoud Yakubu of INEC, Yusuf Bichi of DS, etc. Now, I ask you, do you think if Agho Obaseki had stood with the kingdom and joined hands to fight the British, would the British have rewarded him with leadership? Again, I sent you a link that you have refused to read and cure your historical deficiency. If you read what is there, you would have seen how he engaged in power tussle with Oba Eweka 11, son of Oba Ovonramwen, who succeeded his father after his death in 1914. Deal with facts and throwing emotional tantrums and blabbing. |
