I signed the contract for the whole year but I'm paying by installments instead of paying in full(I'm guessing that's what you're talking about). Though in order to do this you need a UK based guarantor to also sign the contract on your behalf.

I got my CAS yesterday and a letter from the accommodation dept of my school, university of east anglia that I might not be able to get a post graduate accommodation or any at all. They advised that I seek for accommodation through a centre. I have not been able to get the centre on the phone all day today. I have also contacted some agents but they said i must do a viewing first before they can offer me a place. I am still trying to go through other means.

My question is that, do i need to have an accommodation before I apply for a visa. If at the interview, they ask where I will be staying, what do I tell them. My school resumes on the 21st September. I need advice please.

TinukeOlu the better answer to provide during ur interview about ur accommodation is that ur are putting up with ur university accomodation, and u should know where the school accommodation is whether u are to use it or not. And then fill it in ur form as ur accommodation details. Hopes this might help. I did just that.

YES, I paid with GT MasterCard; No real charges except the COT I was charged because my card is tied to current account.

But I would suggest u use form A because the transaction is done at CBN rate while master card is interbank rate which is a bit higher!

I returned from the UK after my graduation in June. I still have a valid student visa up till October. I have now gained admission to study Law in another university in the UK. I want to obtain my visa here before leaving. My mother has an investment with kakawa Discount House which she has operated for over 3 years. It is a monthly investment that she rolls over which runs into millions. Kakawa has also given us a letter to that effect and we have printed copies of the monthly letter they always issue to her. We printed each month for the past 12 months. The question is: Does the British embassy accepts Kakawa Discount House. It is a financial house and First Bank has the highest shares. It has also been given approval to operate as a merchant bank. Please I need advice. Has anyone tendered a letter from Kakawa in the past? What was your experience?

Sorry dear, I doubt if UKVI would accept that, beside the list financial institution they accept their statement is on their website

Abeg, there's no point going to the collection centre if you haven't got the email inviting you to come collect. I was at the V.I collection centre today, sat in a long queue and then queued again upstairs. I had gotten the decision email since Saturday (but not the collection one). The guy at the counter simply tracked my application and said "it's not ready". That was all.

If I had got the email, I could have at least argued that I was told to come, but I just wasted my time going there today. I guess I was just really curious to know the outcome because time is very vital in situations like these.

Ademuyiz its quite unfortunate the experience u had at the collection centre, but don't worry much about the application outcome, so long as u met the application requirements, be rest assured ur visa is waiting for u to come and pick it up. Be hopeful.

ThankGod I've received my visa today with 20hrs PW work permit. Wow aside from my 30 days pre- visa, I was given upto 1 st march 2017 for visa expiration.

I got admitted into LSE for masters. when i got tls vi, i was told i didn't fill the self assessment form but i should go for my biometric and inform the person i had not filled the self assessment form. i did my biometric and was filling the form and a woman comes up to me asked me if i was applying for student visa, i replied yes i was. then, she goes you have to go for your interview or the link will close up. to be honest with you, i expected to see a physical person did not know it via video calling. was a bit nervous. it was a guy that interviewed me. he goes hello, replied hello. he asked for my name and date of birth which i gave. he asked why i chose the uk. i told him that the curriculum was similar to that of nigeria and i will be done in a year. why LSE? its a top school and having their name on my cv goes a long way. why that course? i said i wanted to be a Md of an investment bank or a management consultant and with the course i can achieve that dream. that the course gives a theoretical and practical aspect of the business world. i was a bit nervous and was trying to remember a word during the interview question. spoke about innovation and how the course teaches you of to make your org on the top of their game. was nervous then he asked about what uni i graduated from and year and month. what i did within the two years? told him i was in school for a professional course for a year. and he is like you graduated 2014/ IM LIKE NO JUNE 2013 BUT THE SCHOOL MAKES it compulsory after your Bsc to stay back a year and write a professional couse. the second year was to seeve my country in the NYSC programme. I'm nervous. mind you, i have more than enough funds. just worried. i chose a priority service because school resumes first week in september

You don't need to worry about ur interview section, all the interviewer wants to ascertain is that u are a genuine student with intention to study in the UK. From ur response above, u did well. Cheer up.

The meningitis vaccine is not compulsory as no embassy or immigration rules required it, but UK health department states that its necessary for international immigrants in order to protected by certain diseases. U can Google UK department of health for details.

Cerebrospinal meningitis vaccine csm is mandatory for all international student coming to study in UK, according to UK rules. They ask that everyone should be vaccinated 2 weeks before coming to the UK, it is not a request from schools but the UK rule. Although I don't know whether they ask, but I think its for ur safety.

However I have a question o. I checked the visa and saw that I was given only 10hrs to work during term time and I am a postgraduate student. I was planning to work for only 10-12 hours then volunteer for about 4 hours now I can't. Pls does anyone know why I was granted only 10hours?

P.S: I have a scholarship and a bursary. And my course is a 25 hours per week one.

At all I don't remember the site I saw the 6 months thing again, but like my school did, they asked for bank statement b/4 issuing me CAS, checked and ok my statement first b/4 I submitted my application. Guess if ur school can do so it will help as well.

Some where on the UK website, I saw that if u are using ur parents statement, aside from the continuous 28 days period, they should have their details of financial transaction for the past 6 months. I'll reconfirm the site and post.

I can confirm pet01's claim. really, there is no long queue as of this moment. I just checked few minutes ago and noticed that days are available for booking as from 14th, that is two days ahead of today. I discovered that I can even select an earlier date now by updating my appointment. I wonder why I had that bitter experience last week.

U need to print out ur IHS email confirmation, it does not on ur application print out. And yes ur dad is right, he should print out his 6 months statement of account for u.
