Muhammudu?
Mohamed?
Mohammed?
Muhammed?

Because on that certificate there is Mohamed and on posters etc I see all sorts....

Could there be another Mohamed Buhari somewhere? lol....

The former house of reps guy during OBJ tenure, Tinubu and a few others used fake schools and they were busted
So I wouldn't call this genuine either way. GEJ too should show his papers, I agree with you. so should Osinbajo and Sambo.
That is what transparency is all about.
I'm sure Cambridge will be contacted soon and we will all lay this to rest.
Thanks.

Punch, Vanguard have the news as well.

You said earlier that you choose to see it from a different point of view. Fine, everyone is titled to his/her opinion.

I know it was said that the letter was obtained from Cambridge University, anyone with a problem should go and confirm. Until proved otherwise no one can say it's fake. Simple! We both know that it's highly unlikely for them to lie using that school's name.

So let's face more important issues like where are GEJ's documents. We need them for comparison.

This is the news from Premium Times... Tell me what the title says....
Katsina college releases Buhari's result.... Not premium times obtains result from Cambridge. trust them if they had got this from cambridge their title would be bold

This raises another issue for me......Are the newspapers now being dodgy and biased as well? Hmmmmm.....
Is this true journalism?

Ha Nigeria is finished.... You guys blame Jonathan for corruption but every single mind in Nigeria is corrupt... Even Journalists....SAAAAD

I'm sorry but nowadays these institutions are not credible. I could get any certificate from WAEC office. You know the saying, Money talks BullSh*t walks...Let's all stand on the side of truth. Cambridge will not lie...

ashieduplus:

I've done a bit of research. It seems the academic records were also transferred to WAEC. Therefore, WAEC can also release the results, but I my with the candidate's consent in writing or through a court order.

Captain America, I see your point but i choose to see this from a different point of view. Premium Times obtained the printout from cambridge as well as statement of result, signed by the current principal doesn't mean Premium times got it directly from cambridge. In this context, they got both Cambridge result and statement from Katsina college. Read the rest of the story...

I could get a printout 'from cambridge as well as a statement of result' from anywhere....

Two statements here, Premium time could state emphatically that they got the printout from Cambridge.(fullstop). Then they also got a statement of result from Katsina.

I might be wrong but i know Premium times are on Nairaland so i'm happy for them to prove me wrong with an emphatic statement that they got this from Cambridge.

Ok Jmaine.
I now have the EVIDENCE that you are almost confused smiley Please read my post again. Cos i don't know what you are babbling about

jmaine:

The initial statement of the Military authorities was that Buhari just like every other Military Officer should have photocopies of his credentials in his record. It was blanket statement on assumptions of the norm.

But on going further to confirm their assumptions, it was negative. No version of twist and turns from the APC propaganda machines can change simple facts.
Politics / Re: Katsina College Releases Buhari’s WASC Results by phantom23: 10:38am On Jan 22, 2015
Now you are talking. I'm not PDP but rather than waste time arguing, let Cambridge put the matter to rest... I'm sure someone is working on it already...fingers crossed

ashieduplus:

1.WASC is not WAEC. WASC was organised by Cambridge University.

2. Buhari wrote WASC.

3. The school is under the state Govt (PDP-Controlled). Therefore the school is authorised to use the state's letterhead.

4. This is a statement of result, not a certificate but the spreadsheet authenticates it.

5. If PDP apologists are not satisfied they can apply to Cambridge for clarification.

Ashieduplus.

@ jmaine
Am i actually confusing myself by saying all the people who claim to have his certificate say there is no EVIDENCE? I do believe you know what EVIDENCE means, but in your post there is no Evidence that you do. smiley

All i'm asking is for Nigerians to demand his certificate from Cambridge. They will not lie. After all Toronto busted tinubu and other guys then.... Simples

Oga, abeg stop confusing yaself, the Military authorities were succinct in their statement that though records claimed he had those results, there were no evidence whatsoever to support it.

INEC records of Buhari shows he has WASC, but there is no evidence to back that except his ill thought affidavit.

According to Musiwa, do you now see the similarity in altitude grin.[/quote]
Politics / Re: Katsina College Releases Buhari’s WASC Results by phantom23: 10:16am On Jan 22, 2015
Katsina college still has paper certificate of its students in 1961....unbelievable. Where were they stored?
I can generate that same paper on my computer.
If you believe this, you can believe anything else.

What happened to requesting the results from Cambridge itself?.... After all the schools abroad busted (Tinubu's) (can't remember) Toronto and the others guys who presented fake docs... like the guy in the house of reps that time...

Wise up Nigeria...

I don't support any of the Presidential candidates.... Just don't fool Nigerians.
Politics / Re: Photos Of Buhari's Academic Records Released By Nigerian Army by phantom23: 10:09am On Jan 22, 2015
Read btw the line.

The best thing is for the Nigeria govt.to contact Cambridge for his certificate.
How many secondary schools still keep the results of people who graduated in 1980? There were no computers then. Just papers and duplicate papers.... Who is fooling who?

The Nigerian Army on Tuesday publicly released the academic details of former military leader, Muhammadu Buhari, but denied at the same time it could not vouch for the authenticity of his Senior Secondary Examinations results.

Speaking to the media, Army Spokesperson, Olajide Laleye, reversed the Army’s earlier position that it had copies of Mr. Buhari’s West African Secondary School Certificate.

Mr. Laleye said while military records showed Mr. Buhari obtained the WASC in 1961, with credits in English Language, Geography, History, Health Science, and Hausa, there were neither the original copy nor certified true copy nor statement of result to confirm the grades.

He also said the Army could not confirm whether Mr. Buhari’s claim of obtaining those results was verified by the Army in the 1960s.
Travel / Re: ABC Transport - Passengers Beware! by phantom23: 9:07pm On Jan 19, 2015
Did the people on the bus have a choice when they stopped at Owerri? Yes. If they all came down and said we are not leaving till tomorrow, would ABC not still take them to PH the next day? And if they didn't could they not be taken to court? in a civil society?
On the part of the transport company, their licence should be withdrawn for putting lives at risk...in a civil society..

feelgood:
ABC bus (Abuja to PH) left yesterday morning by 7.15am. After some questionable stops, it got to Owerri by midnight - usually it should have arrived PH much earlier. Despite pleas by passengers that the driver should wait till day break before proceeding, especially as the route was not safe at that time of day, the driver ignored security warnings and proceeded at 1.30am 28th Dec. Within an hour from Owerri, they were ambushed and robbed by armed robbers who requested the passengers to march into the bush leaving their luggage behind. After the robbery operation and the departure of the robbers, the bus continued to PH and finally arrived about 5am - almost 24hrs after leaving Abuja.
The passengers narrated their ordeal to the ABC management and the driver's obstinacy that got them into the problem. Rather, the passengers were informed that there was nothing ABC could do and the driver was exonerated.
If you are travelling by ABC, esp on the east west route, you are on your own o. The purported insurance cover is a joke. ABC is a rip off and when the chips are down, customer service is thrown out of the window.

@Dabossman,
You have taken everything out of context here.
The current state of that airport didn't magically appear out of the blues under GEJ admin. It's been on a steady decline since the mid 90's and Dele Momodu has not challenged any other president on this... Why now?
Also people are appointed to oversee minor things like these because the office of a president is a busy one.

All this analogy of yours about leaving one company to another....what are you on about?
dabossman:

I like your line of argument. However, ask yourself; if you were appointed MD/ CEO of a multinational and you swung into action to release funds for renovation and stuff through the help of your trusted manager. Then after 6 months everything is falling apart simply because your manager left for another company. What will you tell the board? "Oh it's not my fault. It's the cleaning agency we use. They are very sloppy." They are not going to listen to that. Or would you agree that Stephen Keshi has no blame in the performance of the Eagles even though we all know the FA and the players have their own fault?

@atswireless, thanks too for your response to his comment...

Timo, first what makes you think I'm Nigerian? I once was..and I still care about its well being.
Secondly you need to have a change of mindset. Understand how things work in a civil society.
Why do you have hierarchy? TBH, state of airport is the least of the issues on a president's mind. You think Obama cares about what happens in the toilet of JFK? I tell you, if you see a stray ladder or mop in any civilised country's airport, someone is getting fired that day. And guess what, the head of the airport may not even know jack about it. The operations manager may not even hear about it. But it won't happen another day. Why? there is a system where everyone knows where they fit in and they do their part accordingly.
I see your argument about eateries and restaurants etc though, however if you enter into a KFC and you find it dirty.. do you start looking for the overall boss of KFC?This a matter for the store.
MMIA is a matter for the airport authority and if they know what they are doing someone should be sacked already for letting that slip past them, either through misappropriation of their allocation or corruption whatever you call it. Notice i also mentioned freedom of press...it means the press can gather info like how much the govt is giving out to its different institutions, how they use the funds they receive from govt. and put it in public domain for those who wish to know so that we know who to hold responsible for any failure. Besides this should also include how much Nigeria earns and how it is all spent. Is this a difficult question for the youths of Nigeria to ask their leaders? If they manage to achieve this, Nigeria is nearing the beginning of the end of corruption.

It is bad for a respected journalist to take sides. This is what Dele Momodu is doing and it's really sad

Soon people will start telling him to shut up....let me be the first to officially tell him to.... (@Dele Momodu - no pressure...just letting you know how you are beginning to sound)

@Dele Momodu..Are you going to blame GEJ for this as well cos if you do, i'll call you a very very biased journalist and you will risk soiling your own reputation in the process.
I've had the privilege of using MMA since the late 80's. And the last time i remember it being in its original state of glory was before 1994.
MMA has been deteriorating after then. Tell me how many govts we've had in between? Even under OBJ's tenure, it was not better. At some point all the ACs and escalators weren't working (yes under OBJ - your godfather wannabe)..remember?

I'm not excusing GEJ but the state of MMA is typical of Nigeria's way of managing infrastructure... poor maintenance. And yes Dele, this includes you and I and every other Nigerian.

In your pictures, i saw mops and ladders all around, i saw dirty toilets etc, Dele Momodu i ask you, is that the work of a president? Those things were left lying untidy by lagosians like you and I. What message did you send to them?
What is the work of Nahco- What is the work of Nigeria Airport Authority-whatever they are called nowadays? Who are the contractors responsible for cleaning the airport?
Do they have yearly allocation to take care of the airport? what are they doing with it? this is where you should focus on to help Nigerians understand who is fooling who. we are hoping for a Nigeria with freedom of press so that every Nigerian can see what the govt. and its establishments do with yearly allocations and budgets but you taking sides in all you biased write ups almost makes this laughable.

I've admired some of your write ups but please stop being biased. And just so you know, I don't support either GEJ (a clueless weak individual) or GMB (a do or die politician). They are both robbers and unfit to rule in my opinion.

I wonder when Nigerian youths will wake up and realise that the more they follow these so called political godfathers e.g. OBJ, Tinubu, IBB, and who else..you name them... they will always get the same old same. Bunch of criminals rebranding their party names, installing stooges as Governors and Presidents while their personal wealth keeps multiplying. Is this hard to see? Common sense...

but there you hear youths of APC in violent clash with with youths of PDP and all stupid sickening stories. If you wonder why these guys are not creating jobs for you it's because they need jobless people to fight for their elections...

I used to respect this Amaechi guy until i realised he is just as clueless as every single politician in Nigeria.
Amaechi, you did a CNN interview where you were asked about oil prices, the USA not needing Nigeria oil, etc. You dismissed it with a wave of hand confidently saying countries like Russia will buy if US doesnt buy. The presenter was giving you a clue about what would happen in the future but your myopic and arrogantly empty mind chose to dismiss this. Now i want you to explain why crude is $50 a barrel now and still going down and the US doesnt seem to need anyones oil at the moment as they are going Shale all the way.
Is this the type of leadership you provide for your state and hence NIgeria? Clueless leadership. Open your mouth and speak confident jargons.
Once you get a few million dollars you've stolen, then all of a sudden you are all clever and smart.

Sorry you are still daft.

To be honest I don't see how this guy can compare to the other guys arsenal have on their radar. If he held his own against xavi, iniesta etc like you claim and we still lost 3-0 to spain. I personally will not sign him. If he has an opportunity at arsenal pls tell him to take it and keep his one million naira pride in his pocket

ROSSIKE:

Err... sorry, but except in your ignorant little head, Oboabona is NOT an ''unknown player'', having performed before the entire world at the African Nations Cup and Confederations Cup to GREAT credit. In the course of those tournaments, he held his own effectively against major names like Didier Drogba, Iniesta, Xavi and Suarez. These are all names that the average Arsenal defender crumbles at the sight of, so it is a GROSS INSULT to ask Godfrey Oboabana, African Champion par excellence, to come for ''trials'' at ANY club including Barcelona and Real Madrid, talk less of Arsenal. Any club that wants him - even if it is Sunderland - MUST respect him enough to acquire him outright.

Are you guys just daft or uninformed

Last year we (Nigeria) voted in  favour of killing Ghaddafi's regime (and Ghaddaffi himself- even though they have the best living standard in Africa) in UN resolution. Yes we supported the plans of the west to oust a regime in order to cause chaos and divert the people's attention away so they can have their oil. yes we had no gain in the process, yet we destroyed our neighbouring African state.

Now another UN resolution will be passed on Syria today by 14:00GMT  and our almighty international idiot  will send delegates to vote as well. I can also assure you they will vote in favour of the resolution.

these are the kind of topics the Nigeria people should have a say on. Not silly posts like these,
