I have a kia optima 2001 with a damaged valve(rideable once the valves are changed and as well as the gear is serviced) and CD player.The car can go for 350k

The timing belt of my kia optima 2001 got broken and as a result damaged the sensor( which i later got replaced) and the valves but the mechanic said he can change the valves( that will cost 32000) and get the car back on track,am skeptical about replacing the
valves thinking of replacing the engine but am sort of not ready for that now as i have other commitment and i need the car for the christmas.What do you advice?

Hello EEL,my kia optima 2001 is showing check engine and airbag light and at the same stalls when driving for like 30 mins.What can be done about that.I have spent so much on mechanic but all to no avail.

@Sienna,I have the same problem with Kelly but mine is Kia optima 2001 model,automatic.When ever i accelerate i always a loud crank noise.I called a mechanic,i was adviced to change the engine but someone told me i cn swap the Kia engine with hyundai's but with little issue that some sensors may not be compatible with hyundai engine.What do you suggest i do?
