Yesso. Its been an extremely cold weekend in Montreal, coupled with the snow storm today. It was -35°c on Saturday, and that's when hubby and I went to do our grocery shopping (without a car), it was crazy. I can officially say I can live in the coldest temperatures.
And the snow storm today was up to 30cm. Still below - 30°c and its going to be like this all week.

This is good news. Kindly send me the mail please. So I can send this night. How long did it take them to reply your mail? Means there is hope you'll get your passport before your travel date.

I applied for a visit visa for my older son, it was rejected that we should apply for a study permit with medicals.
I intend to submit that tomorrow.
In between, I am a pharmacist and I have started the processes of my Canada Pharmacists registration. The documents were also attached.

How it all began:
My wife was issued Study Permit in Nigeria on 30/10/2018 with my two years old son. I applied for a visit visa on 31/10/2018 To accompany them and give them all necessary support to settle down. We fixed our proposed journey for the 8/12/2018. The visit visa didn't come. I sent car to London, Lagos will reply. Active review and active processes. When I discovered that it won't come, I accompany them all the same to Istanbul, they proceeded to Canada, I proceeded to New York. While in New York, I applied for SOWP because I already have an outstanding visit visa pending and might be refused for purpose of visit since they left Nigeria as planned. Before I left Nigeria, I sent an email to Canada Visa office if I can apply for SOWP, They gave the go ahead and even sent the VAC office address in New York. I applied immediately. I printed form 1-94 they confirmed my status in the USA and attached it. I am dropping my Passport in the VAC office Moro. I think the Nigeria situations made visa issuance difficult. I have learnt a lot in this journey. To God be the glory. I am writing thing on a phone , Pls pardon any mistakes and lets all use our strategies to achieve our Canada dreams. My Canada dream started this year.

Congratulations!! That's was really fast. I pray Nigeria gets to that stage where we don't have to wait months to have our Visa processed.

So I got the biometric validity mail again today(second time I'm getting it), I'm actually very worried now cos I'm traveling next Thursday and I haven't gotten my passport back

My flight is also for next week. Do we send a CSE or just chill? Is there anyone else that has submitted their passport to VFS recently and gotten it back? Maybe we should hear from other people o.

Has anyone that submitted their passport between the 1st week in December and now gotten it back? I thought it usually does take long to get it back.

So I was waiting to get my passport back before sharing this. Haven't gotten it back yet, so I'll just do this.

Got my Passport request on the 7th of December
Application submitted online 21st September
Biometrics 24th September
Medical request and eligibility review 16th October.
Medicals done 29th October
Medical Passed 13th November
PPR December 7th

My medicals wasn't updated on my portal for 2 weeks o. I wanted to faint. Called IOM severally, they insisted it had been sent. Sent a CSE and webform to report a technical issue. It was resolved, and then the waiting started. Prayers and Fasting oo. Mehn!! This waiting isn't for the faint hearted.
All I just wanted was to go join my husband. If to say I get power fit dey fly every night go meet am, I for use that power o. We got married not too long ago, so this madam just wanted to be with Bros. Thank God for coming through for us.

You can go to consultants/children's practice ikoyi, make sure you get there before 8 and go with passport photographs and photocopy of your data page! You will pay 28,050 for the medicals, be polite with the lady as she'll initially say you can't be attended to without an appointment.
Make sure you get there before 8am!
