As Ijaw people, Igbo people like you who come from the hinterland can not teach us our history. We will teach you yours.

Please you need to understand something.

There is nothing like Southsouth or Niger Delta, it's a political name coined out of old Eastern Nigeria to decimate Igbos after the end of the civil war.

Akwa Ibom people fought with Igbos and their son was the VP of Biafra during the civil war, and there are many Akwa Ibom people who are diehard IPOB and ESN members.

Remember Akwa Ibom people share boundary with Abia people and even share similar cultures and values in some boundary communities. So you or I or anybody cannot force them to join Biafra or Niger Delta Republic, it is a free and fair referendum that can give them the chance to decide where they wish to belong.

Also remember some communities in Southeast were politically ceded to Rivers State to decimate and spite Igbos after the war.

Many of such communities who are Igbo speaking communities will be more comfortable sharing country with their Igbo bloodlines in Biafra than in a multicultural and multi tribal Niger Delta where they will be hugely marginalized as we can see in present day Rivers State where Governor Wike and his people openly and brazingly marginalize Oyigbo people cos of their Igbo heritage.

Some parts of Eleme too and many others.

There are Igbo speaking communities also ceded to Kogi and Benue States just to reduce Igbo size and political strength. Those Igbo communities will prefer to join their brothers in Biafra or any other nation it will be called. All Igbos are asking for is fairness to all not to some.

Same applies to Asaba, Anioma people. They will even prefer being on their own than join Urhobo, Ijaw, Itshekiri, Ibibio, etc that dont cherish them.

This applies to so many other communities in so called Niger Delta.

Similarly, some Edo communities will prefer to join Oduduwa nation than Niger Delta Republic cos they share similar values with Yorubas than most Niger Delta regions.

The problem most of you from Ijaw, etc have is you erroneously believe that why Igbos want Southsouth to be part of them under Biafra is because of crude oil but that's not true.

Igbos, I mean majority of Igbos not those online, are okay sharing one nation with the rest of the South than anything. Igbos only problem is Hausa-Fulanis wickedness, disregard for human life, their violence and religious extremism tendencies, and their love for marginalization of other tribes.

All Igbos are asking for is a nation built on equity, fairness, love and merit where all tribes are respected and given their right.

For your info, Southeast have as much oil as Southsouth but after the war, Hausa-Fulani led federal government reached a secret agenda to ensure Igbos are kept below par so they won't ever demand for freedom or challenge them again. So they intentionally abandoned exploration of so many crude oil sites in Southeast to ensure SE have the least IGR. They gave SE 5 states whereas other regions have 6.

They made sure no Igbo man is appointed to top security position like COAS, IGP, Naval Chief, Airforce boss, Customs, Prisons, NDLEA, etc until Goodluck a God sent man came and shattered that conspiracy against Igbos by appointing Igbo man, Maj. Gen. Ihejirika as the COAS.

See Biafra agitation is beyond crude oil. it's about fairness and equity.

if you observe an average Igbo person, he does not believe in government or rely on government assistance or funding. So Igbos are not begging Niger Delta or any region to join them under Biafra,.never.

But Igbos are saying dont force Igbo communities to be under your region politically created to reduce Igbo political strength in Nigeria after the civil war. Allow them to decide where to belong.

So why the campaign for Biafra and not a country that would exclude the Hausa, Kanuri and Fulani?

It’s often said that a lie told so many times, if unchallenged, may – in course of time – begin to pass for the truth. One of such is the terrible lie, institutionally purveyed since the end of the Civil War, to the effect that Igboland is landlocked or has no access to the sea.

https://t.guardian.ng/opinion/igboland-is-not-landlocked/

You see those communities close to the the ocean? Na igbos be that. The state only added them to SouthSouth deliberately to make SuthEast small, seem landlocked and powerless with the smallest number of representors in the National Assembly.

You see ahoada, okrika and opobo? They are all igbos. The FG only did what they did to cut the wings of the igbos because igbos are the greatest threat to them right from the beginning. The envy on the Igbos is based on the igbos being the most qualified to be in charge of almost all sectors of the nation from the beginning.

Ahoada is made up of 2 LGAs. Ahoada West is predominantly Ijaw. Okrika and Opobo are 100 percent Ijaw. I wonder why you Igbos can't stick to your ancestral homes. Gaining access to the sea is not something you can wish into existence.

Are you sure about that? Where did Tonye Cole get his support from if not the upland? Was it not Amaechi that gave him the Governorship ticket? Who was to blame for Cole's failure at the poll? Kalabari should blame themselves. Afterall it was a Kalabari man in the person of Ojukaye Flag-Amachree that took APC to the court.

Kalabari should blame themselves after all Wike strongest support base is from there.

Pure lies!
Flag-Amachree never went to court against Tonye Cole. It was Magnus Abe, an Ogoni who went to court against Tonye Cole.

Coupled with that, if Amaechi was interested in the peace and harmony of the state as he wants people to believe, he should have contested for the deputy governorship slot in 2007.

You Igbo man claiming to be from Cross river! Igbo cannot boost anyone's cv. Claiming somebody who is Igbo is something one will do reluctantly. It is a stain on us and not the other way round.

Why would we even claim Nnamdi Azikiwe when we have people like Ernest Ikoli who mentored Azikwe as an upcoming journalist?

If you know the history of the riverine areas around Asaba and Ontisha that is very plausible. Many of those areas happened to be vassals of Ijaw monarchs, mostly the king of Nembe.

With Ijaw fishermen and traders in the region, children are bound to be part of the interactions. Azikiwe adds no value to us.

Same old boring tripe, Excuses, Excuses, Excuses... that's the only thing you are good at, you heap all the causes of your misfortune as a people on others rather than yourselves. Ijaws used to dominate the political space in old Rivers state and they thought they were overlords after benefiting hugely from the post civil war marginalisation of the Igbos in Rivers, state, it was you minority bastards who used Ijaw administrators via Federal might as proxy to implement the abandoned property usurpation of Igbo owned properties, fast forward to today the same Igbos you contrived to spite have not only bought back more properties and businesses in Rivers state, they also own a very sizeable number of landed properties, private companies etc all over PH town while you Ijaw apes have been forced to live in the creeks where you rightfully belong... politically your Igbo masters thanks to the likes of Zik also played a fast one on you by showing who's BOSS after they strategically placed the Igbo speaking Ikwerres in the corridor of political control in Rivers state, and strategically created a homogeneous state for your homeless arses in that present slum called Bayelsa; thus further reducing your significance in Rivers state by using a newly created state as a much needed distraction. Next time learn to respect your masters before you checkmate the people wey born una papa grin cheesy cheesy

We have no misfortune! Come terms with the fact that Ijaws are not obsessed with Nigeria or her institutions.
Neither are we in search of colonies. If governorship what boosts the deflated ego of Igbos,we Ijaws have other things that are important to us. Political office including the governorship is meant for service but primitive beings like you Igbos think it is an opportunity to criminally enrich yourselves and boost your low self esteem. Now between me and you who " heaps blames for misfortune "? You have the effrontry to call people's communities " abandoned properties ". I guess you don't know where Port Harcourt is. We are your boss! Your Ijaw boss said you can't have your eastern region, you said no and went to war, after 3 years of your stupidity you came back and surrendered to your master's will unconditionally.

The people you claim to have "strategically positioned", tell you to your face they are Bini. So is it because strategic positioning you Igbos placed a bounty of 100 million on Wike's head?

I think it is Zik's political wizardry that led to the emergence of a governor like Wike, a man you Igbos claim sent your women to Abuja where they had to wear one pant for one month!

Instead of you to learn from your elders that have already gone to the Ijaw leader, chief Clark to beg for our support, your governor Willie Obaiano is begging an Ijaw man so that Anambra can be called an oil producing state, Ikpeazu is begging for pipeline security jobs for Igbo youths and you are here making noise.

Learn to respect the people wey dey buy una with snuff!

Meanwhile Igbo who don't even give a rat arse about the pathetic existence of your people are your people, Las las you will die a sad and miserable Igbo-phobic loser.

It is you that will die a miserable death not me. Before Jonathan was even made vice president Ijaw people made it clear that what interests them is not political office but political, legal and economic reforms.
Nigeria is a failed banana republic, a poster child of failure. If Ijaw people didn't turn the presidency to a do or die affair what makes you think they will be so interested in the governorship of Rivers state?
1999 the Ijaw people decided the governor should come from a minority bloc in Rivers state. Amaechi who succeeded Odili was not a candidate, he became governor by supreme court ruling.

So what are you talking about?

Nigeria has not been able to conduct any election that has been hitch free in comparison with the elections that produced governors like Okilo and Ada-George.

Forceful evacuation for what? Was it not for the protection and safety of her citizens when they saw the federal troops closing by? Were they evacuating them and occupying their land?

Your argument here is full of misinformations and lies. The evacuation was not only done in ijaw land, it was done in Aba, Owerri, Nsukka, Enugu and ikot ekpene. So why should your own been given another interpretation. Today Nigerian government is evacuating people and putting them in IDP camps from Bornu state, Adamawa and yobe due to fear Boko Haram and these people are not using it against the federal government because they know it is for their safety.

You forcefully took people from their communities to consecration camps in Igboland for their "safety", yet the "unsafe" Rivers state is where you relocated your Igbos to and you used the indigenous Rivers people from your camps as forced labourers to go back to that same Rivers state and harvest staples like cassava you used to feed the Igbos that were yet to be relocated. Your victims were not allowed to take even the peels of the cassava they harvested.

Ok! I’m aware that Biriye headed the Niger Delta Congress - a party that emerged to challenged the NCNC. He emerged the same time the COR movement was gaining ground. Biriye was unknown in even Bonny his LGA, failing politically and using the civil war as an opportunity to become relevant by spreading Igbo hate. And looking at the name of his party, one could see he might have influenced Adaka Boro uprising, looking at how he used the name Niger Delta for his short-lived republic.

Biriye is a Finima man who by origin and language has Ijaw connection. Finima speaks the Kalabari language. Any wonder why he spearheaded that movement and helped supplant the strong Igbo connection of those in Grand Bonny.

The Igbos really have a strong problem in their backyard as everything Ijaw struggle seems to be hinged on Igbo antagonism. It didn't start today actually, it's been there since the time of the colonial masters.

1. Biriye is not from Finima
2. Even if he was, Finima is part of Grand Bonny kingdom
3. The Kalabari dialect is neither spoken in Finima or in any other part of Bonny. They speak Ibani, Ibani just like Kalabari or Okrika are Ijaw dialects spoken in Rivers state.
4. Biriye represented Ijaw people before Nigeria gained independence.
5. Biriye was a member of NCNC before he founded his own party because of Igbo bigotry and nepotism.
6.Before Biriye his father was already involved in Ijaw activism.
7. NDC was successful not only in Bonny but Okrika and many parts of present day Bayelsa.
8. NDC was coalition partner NPC, a party could form coalition at the centre was a success.
9. Before NDC Biriye was the co-founder of an Ijaw organisation that was older than the NCNC.
10. Biriye was already an international figure before Nigeria gained independence, Biriye wanted autonomous region for all Ijaws.

Igbo are the problem. You can't have problem with everybody and something is not wrong with you.
