Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by philonyx: 1:11pm On May 02, 2022
Hello all,
Please I need some guidance. I have been seeking for a PhD admission in the US for the past two years but I have been unsuccessful. I am considering going for another master's degree, as it is easier to secure such admission. My question is,if I include my master's degree in my application, will it pose a red flag in my ability to get the admission or study visa?

Please I need help....has anyone registered an EE profile with 6.5 as the least band recently? Please guide me, it keeps saying I'm ineligible
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by philonyx: 11:38pm On Aug 04, 2021
I've done this but still showed the same result. Please can you assist me?
Lotusgoddess:

How about making your POF the exact amount needed. That's what I did. When I did that for mine earlier, it told me I was ineligible until I gave the exact required amount
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by philonyx: 12:24am On Aug 03, 2021
I have done this now using the correct certificate number but it still says ineligible. The minimum score for IELTS for express entry profile is band 6 and I don't have anything less than a band 6. Please who can assist me on creating a profile? I am totally confused and sad on the current situation.
Lotusgoddess:

Firstly, you're not using your reference number but your TRF which is on your online dashboard if it's BC, I don't know about MOD.
Secondly, Make your POF the exact amount required.

If it's still showing ineligible, then maybe your ielts result isn't enough to enter the pool.

Hello house,
Please I need help with creating an express entry profile, I am completely confused. The first one I tried creating showed ineligible and this is what I filled: I have an IELTS test results with 6,6,6.5,7 in RLWS respectively(I used my reference number from my result portal as I am yet to receive my TRF hardcopy). I have 4yrs job experience. I did WES evaluation with my BSc as my MSc is still processing. POF 16000CAD. I need help

Hello house,
Please I will like to make enquiries on POF. If one doesn't have money in his account and enters the express entry pool like that. Then you get selected by a province. Can I quickly seek for funds to update my account and then submit my bank statement or will this pose a red flag? Please suggest what I can do as one who doesn't have any POF before entering the pool. Thanks

Thanks for your response. Please can there be any advantage then for embarking on this?
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by philonyx: 2:49pm On Mar 05, 2021
Hello house,
Please if you enroll for a master's degree fully online but will attend the graduation ceremony in the UK, can you still be eligible for a work permit?. Secondly is there any advantage in taking this route as a yardstick to travel abroad since the financial implications can't be met?

Got there 6.30 am to beat traffic from Egbeda.
By 7am queue had been forming outside.i joined queue at 8am as I was scared of crowd and my appointment was 9.20am.
By 9am, a staff of VFS came to announce that biometrics Canada was first and would be called in hourly batches. Mine was 9-10am. ( Advice for those booking to pick early hour if you don't want to waste time there. Pick later time if you may arrive late). A tout finally confirmed I don't need pictures for biometrics. He viewed the passport photos I had on me from home and said they were good and compliant to specifications but I don't need it for biometric as the VFS would capture my pics and finger prints. I tipped him N200 for being honest when I came out. Under 30minutes

Went in, filled 2 consent forms given by VFS staff and was 7th to be attended to. 15 booths so clients are speedily attended to for different stages. All the best to all. Go with pen so you won't be borrowing to fill form. All required docs:
2 copies coloured passport data page
1copy appointment letter
1copy Biometric Instruction Letter

Please how can I get to their office from Iyanikpaja

Hello, have you submitted a webform regarding this.

No I didn't submit any webform. Are you suggesting I do so? My medical results were sent by the hospital some days before I submitted my SP application. I also attached the medical e-slip while submitting my application. What do you suggest I do
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by philonyx: 11:34am On Aug 21, 2020
I'm lost in all of these process; I did upfront medical and was notified it has been sent to IRCC before I submitted my application. The slip given from the hospital was attached along side my study permit application when I submitted and yet my application status says all these as attached below: please can someone help me explain. Thanks in anticipation

You can actually choose between London, Kenya or lagos. As long as your application number and UCI number are accurate. Any office you choose will direct your request to the office handling your application.

Thanks alot.....

Please I want to use the Canadian webform to send the school deposit I made and then this question: "Is your application being processed by an office OUTSIDE Canada?" If yes; what do I answer " where is the application being precessed". Thanks

I understand you my dear but I'll advice you get admission letter into a course you think will show career progression, but study your dream course when you eventually get study permit.. This will cost you 2 application fees but I think it's better than having to forge any document.

On the other hand, you can use your letter of explanations to the VO to extensively explain why you want to change career.. I beleive that truth is the only strong ground to stand on.. All the best

Okay.... thanks alot for your candid advice

Acts of forging documents.. If you were a VO and you see employment letter without payslips or bank statements to confirm this, will you believe it?

This sounds scary....... I'm currently working but in an IT field, this will not be able to justify why I am going for a PGD in food safety. Please what do you suggest I do currently. I also felt since I'm not the sponsor such documents won't be needed. Please help
