I like that the "ban' is happening during the summer months. Many of these clowns minsters and MDA heads find nonsense conferences to attend in Europe and the USA so they can also extend their stay for holidays. All this one na audio sha...the real corruption is not from official travel. |

I agree with you. We can only be hopeful so I'll try to be optimistic. ![]() dealslip: |

The first part of my statement said, "Very commendable", which implies praise for the initiative. The second part of the statement expressed concern about maintenance of said infrastructure behind the initiative given our track record. Nigerians are naturally skeptics but skepticism doesn't mean wishing for something to fail. "Check back in 12 months..." is saying one is hoping for the best but we should wait for 12 months to see if things are still in place. Hope the breakdown helps. dealslip: |

I plan to make use of it. I hope they use the money from purchased tickets to keep things clean and functioning. BRT, City Bus and all the flowers Fashola was planting all over Lagos started like this and we know how that turned out Officialenny1: |

Very commendable. However, Nigeria does not have a proven record of maintaining core infrastructure very well. Check back in 12 months and see if things are not falling apart. 5 Likes |

He has no choice but to travel "modestly". 1. He's not part of the federal government and he's not on official government assignment in the US, so he's not getting any protection. 2. He can't bring his Nigerian security (if he had any) to the US since he's not a head of state. 3. He doesn't own a private jet so he has to travel commercial like everyone. Other than that he seems like a nice, intelligent, and eloquent man who could have been President. |

Bamboo is still being used for building construction in Hong Kong and other parts of the world. It's flexible, strong and cheaper than steel or aluminum. 2 Likes |

Sound monetary policy from Daddy GO. We don't need the CBN. Does he have any sense of what the MPR will be next month? ![]() |

I believe France has some oil investments in Gabon. The same family (Father and Son) has ruled for decades with the support of France. ONEjoblessGUY: |

Yes he can coordinate all aspects of the economy (trade, investments, government spending etc) and he can have his *opinions* on monetary policies. However, if the CBN is not a department under the Ministry of Finance , then the Minister should allow the CBN Governor do his job without interference. Saintinoo: |

When did the Ministry of Finance start managing monetary policy, in addition to fiscal policy? Did someone delete the CBN? |
