Better for them to have lost early in the competition than for them to lose now.

Nigeria should not dare to enter penalty. They must win convincingly. All their matches they have been struggling. We must not lose against a xenophobic country.

The power of the mind. When you feel you cannot achieve something you usually don’t. It seems like Cape Verde did not see themselves going to the semi finals cos i don’t understand this penalty kicks

Your phone should be the first thing you'd leave

Then your clothes, your foreign rice for Nigerian local rice around the same price, and so many other things

It can't work that easily

Exactly. It's easy to talk. Also easy to say the govt should convert Dom account to Naira. That's calling for free fall of Naira.

It can't work, even if they will do that they can't try it with the average Nigerian who have less than idle $20,000 in their dorm accounts.

Probably targeted at those with huge accounts that are idle.

What is the percentage of bank customer with N500,000 and above in Nigeria? Just 2%.

Percentage of dorm account holders with $5000 and above should be less than 1%.

I was in the bank yesterday, someone came to withdraw just $50 from his dorm account. I don't think government will target such people an average Nigerian trying to survive in a hostile economic environment

My opinion though

Thank you Sir. CBN has debunked the news.

I am not a member of the management or professional advisers to the transaction, so I can't give a specific time frame.

But I think by the end of this quarter we should be able to have an idea.

It also depends on your average cost price, someone who average cost price is less than N20 is different from someone whose average cost price is N70.

I sold half of my holdings at a profit of over 200% based on my average cost price buy a FGN bond at 15.8% yield which will pay coupons in March and September for the next 11 years

Hello Sir. What do you think about the Govt converting money in dom accounts to Naira? What are your thoughts?

Why exactly do you want to marry? This is the problem with marriages this days. People are marrying because society says they are getting too old to be single. With all this signs of incompatibility you still want to enter the marriage? I am surprised a man is sending this post. What exactly is making you rush into marriage?

Career / Re: Should I Japa Or Stay In Nigeria? by Phraences: 5:03pm On Dec 18, 2023
Miracle112:
Hello Nlanders..
please I need advice on whether to relocate abroad or stay and invest in Nigeria .
I just graduated from the university and I’ll turn 28 in a few months time.
I come from a very poor family, I sponsored myself through the university as matter of fact I am the first graduate in the family.
I am here to seek advice from experts and enlightened nairalanders.
I have over 50m in real estate and I intend to sell 50% of my properties to raise funds for an online marketplace i intend to launch in Nigeria but I’m having a double mind as there’s no 100% guarantee that the business will succeed

Since I just graduated from the university, should I rather use 25m to relocate abroad and further my studies or stay in Nigeria and invest the 25m ?
I don’t want to regret selling my properties to relocate abroad for studies.. I don’t even know if 25m would be enough to further my studies in any first world countries since I’ll have no support from family.

So my people, should I japa for studies with 25m or stay an invest in my fatherland?

For those wondering how I made over 50m as a fresh graduate. I didn’t make the money in 1 day or 1 month. I do land banking, crypto trading and farming.

Don't sell properties o. Do you need 25m to relocate? I would have said grow the 50m to 100m first and then japa but every day the value of the
Naira erodes.

Your eye see well my brother, it from frying pan to fire.

African politicians will always want to die in power and they never give youths a good atmosphere to govern, Only youth can do what George Weah did as JEG did for Buhari. But when Buhari came in with his change agenda what changed? But more worse. I tell people, George Weah may not do better but they will see heal with this Old baba that is living with health support, a case study of Jonathan and Buhari. All these old power drunk politicians will use propaganda to spoil youths in power to drop the helm of the nation’s. But if it’s those Old politicians they can never leave it easily, they will manipulate anything possible to remain in power.

For Africa to grow we still need to ensure that our leaders are youths not old cargoes, don’t let us fall for Old politicians propaganda it’s not a way forward

Exactly, if it was this old man in power he would never have conceded defeat. In fact, he would have made sure there was no free and fair election. George Weah might have been a bad president but he did a very good thing by conceding. A power drunk person would never have done that.

It’s sad we keep losing officers to avoidable circumstances,” some officers told our correspondent in Lagos »

Good explanation. I didn't vote Tinubu but i have noticed journalism this days is about sensationalism. Even if Obi had entered the opposition would have criticized every single spending and made it seem he was spending for his personal benefit. The only issue is that the budget as usual would have been inflated. People will make money from it etc instead of buying 2022 Toyota they will buy 2019 version and pocket the change.

The issue is Nigerians are suffering in economic hardship and all these billions billions being called here and there will just annoy the poor more because with all the perks going to this politicians they are still greedy for more.

Take a look at Wike? When is enough enough? On top all the money he already has he doesn't want to let go.

He got another job same day the wife left.

Wife came back but the marriage never remained the same.

He abandoned the wife and left for Canada lol.

Sweet revenge.

Lol. That's why it is advisable women are financially independent before and during marriage. It is only when the woman no get money the man go feel say going to Canada na revenge.

It's 2.47 am here but I can't sleep, I hardly sleep these days.

My whole world is crumbling.
I have been a regular guest here for awhile now but had to register this morning, I need somewhere to pour out my heart, somewhere to dump my frustrations.

I came from a good, not so rich home but my parents were so hardworking.I had a good moral upbringing, went to tertiary institution and graduated with good grades.

While in school, I never had a boy friend though I had a lot of "chykers", never went clubbing, didn't socialize much.

Few months to the end of my NYSC, I met my husband. We got talking and boom, I fell in love with him. He is my ideal man....he doesn't drink nor smoke, gentle and soft spoken.

He wasn't earning much but it didn't bother me. I believe in working hard and growing with my man.

Now my regrets...
* The "angel" I married has refused to get a job after losing the last one during COVID 19.

He said he can never work in a private company again. His target is multinationals.

I encouraged him to pick up a job with private company while hoping for a bigger fish at least to support in taking care of the needs at home but he said no.

I'm left with taking care of our 3 kids, feeding, school fees and virtually every need at home. All he does is press phone, gamble and sleep.

Now our rent is due, no money.
I married as a virgin, married for love and not money, work my ass off, doing so many side hustle to shoulder the expenses at home. I'm tired. I regret all these.

When I see my "unserious" classmates on social media and sometimes offline, I weep. See them living large. I thought all the sacrifices I made way back will pay off now.
I have made up my mind that if he doesn't fix the rent, I will move back to my parent's house.

Kindly feel free to advise or bash me. Tankio

Move back to your parents house please. Men are usually unserious because they know women will do anything to maintain the facade of a happy marriage and retain the Mrs title.

It's so unfortunate that you have three children for this man and you are now financially responsible for all of them. God will strengthen you.

Marriage is a scam. Everyone reveals their true colours after wedding is concluded.

I watched a video on Tiktok detailing how there have been attempts to settle this matter 5 times over the years by splitting the land to two so Palestine has it's nation. Unfortunately, each time it's Palestine that disagrees because all they want is the nonexistence of Israel which isn't possible. It seems they're ably supported by Iran/Hezbollah while Egypt has been a mediator.

And yet some fools are saying Israel has more Muslims than Christians. If Israel was a Muslim country there won't be this much hatred towards them from Palestine and Muslims around the world.

Even the Ayatollah of Iran has called for the total destruction of Israel so many times.

Thank God for the division in Islam caused by the Sunni and Shires issue unless Saudi Arabia would have been supporting Iran in their madness.
