I speak from the heart and I feel compelled to speak. To set the records straight or at least tell my own side of the story. My father, Chief Gogo Nwakuche published a notice in a National Daily Newpaper disowning me and stating that I "debased" him by taking over companies that he has "substantial" interests in, claiming he is no longer in active service and collecting tens of millions of Naira from Government agencies. He stated that I will not benefit from any inheritance from him and that I am not allowed to perform any burial rights in his honor. This publication has gone viral.

My father has disowned four out of seven of his sons in the last eight years. It is a well known fact and it has been acknowledged by the Eze Igwe of Oguta, the elders (Okpara's) from all the villages in Oguta that the cause of the problem is his third wife Idu Ifi Nwakuche. My father, under her influence has abandoned his entire family and kindred. He has been totally isolated from everyone. I can say with all certainty that he has lost his sense of reason. He is being remote controlled by his third wife.

My father does not have personal assets. Our family home in Enugu is in my late mother, Flora Nwapa's name. Idu forced him to borrow against this property. A forged Power of Attorney was presented to Diamond Bank. AMCON finally took over the property. My father surrendered the papers of Amede Court, his country home in Oguta to Diamond Bank. He also surrendered the papers of his mother's home in Oguta to Diamond Bank. These papers are now in AMCON's possession.

My father founded Lake Concrete Industries in the 1972. At the time, my mother was a commissioner in the Then East Central State under Ukpabi Asika's cabinet. In agreement with my mother, he made me the second director and shareholder. He owned ten shares and I owned one.

In 2002, my father added all my brothers as directors and share holders. Three from the second wife and three from the third. He allotted all the shares of the company to his sons. He left himself with zero shares while he remained the Managing Director. My brother Emeka Nwakuche, Idu's first son began managing Lake Concrete around 2007. In less than five years, the factory closed down and all the staff laid off. Tens of millions of Naira are being owed to customers from undelivered electric poles. Two companies took Lake Concrete to Court and received judgments.

In 2002, I used one of our companies, Scott Amede Engineering and Power Supply to bid for the construction of Oguta Port. We were the lowest bidders. The contract was finally awared in 2009.

I found out sometime in 2014 that assets belonging to Scott Amede were being sold. Emeka Ifi, Idu's brother was directly involved in the sales and the proceeds were being lodgded directly into Idu's personal accounts.

CAC filings revealed that my father did not own any shares in the companies. Having majority shares, my brothers and I signed resolutions giving me control of the companies. I have since negotiated with Lake Concrete judgment creditors in a bid to save the company. I also received approval for change of management from the parastatel in charge of Oguta Port.

I have not committed any crime. I acted in the best interest of my family and my brothers who are all shareholders. My father sued all his sons in Federal High Court Enugu. The case was dismmised late last year.

My concience is clear and I believe I acted within my legal rights. I have loved my father all my life. He is not the father I know. He is no longer the Gogo Nwakuche every body knows. Idu Ifi Nwakuche has a lot to answer for.

May God answer my prayers.

Uzoma Nwakuche

Ehen, the son (Uzoma Nwakuche) has virtually confirmed what I said. Na many wife palava be this. The youngest wife is favoring her kids at the expense of the other children. And that stupid and misguided Olaade21 had to senselessly quote, spewing drivel.

Igbo men have that problem of continuity. I still advice every successful businessman to groom his sons and daughters as worthy successors so that their businesses will outlive them. It's very bad for a man to die with his business.

This your blanket statement is a big lie. Speak about the individual cases you know as opposed to trying to tat all Igbo’s with the same brush.

The genesis of Ogbuagu Gogo Nwakuche’s problem is that he married many wives. Once there are many wives and children from the diverse wife’s, jealousy envy and strife will enter the equation.

His first wife was the esteemed Flora Nwapa (the writer of Efuru). She was way more educated and financially accomplished than him. With her clout, she was able to raise him up and ensured that he got a lot of lucrative contracts (e.g contract to supply NEPA poles to Nigeria). However, when he became rich, he took on more wives. His 2nd wife was a woman from Udi. He also took on a 3rd wife. Flora had 2 children for him (the Uzoma in question plus a daughter). He also had children from his other wives. Flora Nwapa died in the 90’s (some day from heartbreak because he did not treat his wives equally and loved and favored some more than the others). Some see Gogo Nwakuche and his current wife as frittering away all that Flora Nwapa amassed, to the exclusion of Flora’s children. Do you already see how the bad tone was set a long time ago by Ogbuagu Nwakuche’s decision to marry more than one wife?
What we see here is action and reaction and with each go around the ante keeps getting upped.

If Ogbuagu Nwakuche has only one wife, he would be more likely to be patient and long suffering with his son. As it is, the current wife is most likely focused on enjoying the wealth and making sure that her and children are taken care of financially, in the long run. There are competing interests and accordingly, she will most likely be unable or unwilling to mediate.

nice...but i wont wait for gov to act b4 i start my cattle biz. I want to start with the normal efi igbo. If somewhere along the line govt decides to introduce these breeds, i will tap into it.

Can u tell me a few things about efi igbo...pls i appreciate
It’s very commendable that you won’t wait for government before you start your cattle business. That is the way to go.
If we wait for government for anything, we will be waiting forever, because government is very well known for dragging its feet, being inefficient, with a lot of fanfare, red tape and empty noise.

As your business progress, you can even bring about the cross breeding of your cattle with high milk producing cows. First start by visiting the farms in which ever country they are. A business man with focus and foresight can reach for the stars. Never place your hope on the government.

Hello, What does Ekemezie mean. I may consider it if it carries a good meaning.

My suggestion would be Ekezie.

Ke = Create
Ike = To create
Eke = That which was created.

Ekezie = That which was created well.
Sometimes Igbo’s would say Ekeziri Ekezi. The Ekeziri is just added for emphasis and it means that which was created VERY WELL.

Igbo is a tonal language. So Ke can also mean share/Divide.
Ekezie can also mean one who was created well/got a goodly share of what God was dishing out.

Ekemezie has already been translated to you on another thread. That translation is correct. Ekezie or Ekemezie - Take your pick.

chineloSA:

That's the biggest problem with most Africans. You have never lived with other races in large numbers. You get deceived by their smile and think they like you. Africans love validation from other races that you go out of their way to accommodate, rationalise and defend their racism.

In their private spaces, they hate you. They only want to make money our of you and that's where it ends. In Uganda so many Chinese people left children as soon as they were done with what they were doing. A lot of Ugandan women are crying today with their kids. Father who is not contactable and a child without identity. Once he is done, he will leave her and go to China and never return .

All races do marriage they want to infiltrate. Nigerians in particular are fond of marrying in any country when they are seeking to infiltrate. This is the oldest trick in the book.

The strategy is infiltrate and dominate. This Chinese just wants to peacefully do business. How do they communicate if they met on the net?

If you think Human is Human, explain why Africans are currently enslaved in Lybia as we speak. Explain why white people despise you that they don't want you in their countries. Why Chinese in China won't let you be.
The few interracial marriages you think are successful does not really mean they are successful. Besides the unsuccessful ones exceed the successful ones. Again marrying a scum who is not wanted by his race does not make him a good person. Most times its because he is rejected by his people and he tries and African.
Again Chinese are abusive towards theiir people and black people. See how they treat their people in factories etc.

Africans are a problem that's why African Americans have issues with you and your call it jealousy. They endure pains for decades of slavery fighting a white man and you land in America and you disrespect their struggle by marrying an enemy that you should be automatically acquiring by virtue of race.

Chinese hate you. Stop deceiving yourselves. Ask Ugandans. No race is for you. They only want to take from you.
As a continent we only need to do business with them and it should end there.

I get exactly what you are saying. Pay no mind to those that want to argue with you just for the sake of it.

Most people here did not even watch the video.

Was wondering why they ended the video with let’s up pray. While I am not against praying, they should back it up with some action, after all their God given brain is not for fancy. E.g. they could organize a sting operation and go visit Sangoma’s with hidden cameras. If the Sangoma recommends raping a young child as a cure for HIV, they should arrest and charge the Sangoma to court. The Investigative report and his team do none of that. All he does is pray and then resolve to move out of the community with his family.

OP why do you not want to babysit and/or bond with your kids? To the extent of telling your wife to take them with her while she is going to the pharmacy. What then will you be doing with all your time off? Being a father is not just about providing materially. When the children grow up and aren’t close to you, you’ll be the first to complain.

I visit Nigeria from time to time. I do know one person from my ancestral home that is very knowledgeable about the old ways. I intend to begin to learn from him. This is not an easy path. But once a persons eyes and you know, one cannot because of fear and other factors decide to remain willfully ignorant.

You know it’s fear that is driving a lot of the Nigerian Christians, right? That fear is so strong that it prevents them from questioning anything. However, when you see the way some of them live their daily life, it leaves a lot to be desired. Basically continuously sin while pleading the blood.

How do people like you and I who haven spent the majority of our lives in America turn to African traditional religion and spirituality? That’s the main obstacle I have. If I was in Nigeria it would be much easier

Since the beginning of time, man has always wondered about his purpose on earth, the meaning of life etc. Through the passage of time, they discovered a lot of truths. But all has not been discovered. In fact it is impossible to discover all. These discovered truths can be seen in the fabric of Igbo, Yoruba, Edo, other African African and Eastern religions. Then 10 commandment, for the most part, were already present in these religions. The Romans just gathered all these discovered truths from more ancient religions and put it in a book, while telling us this ancient religions were demonic. Islam copied from christianity. Christianity as we know it today is a tool of imperialism for the Western world, while Islam is a tool of imperialism for Saudi Arabia.

As to you question, we have to start little by little and piece it together. I am not saying that the traditional beliefs of one culture is perfect. But we take all that is good from one, supplement with the good from another and come up with our own spirituality and belief system

No, it's not true, the op is upset because the truth is coming out about the behavior of Nigerian women in the diaspora. No matter how much venom he wants to spew about AA doesn't take away the truth on the disgusting behavior of these women whoring themselves out to white men all over the diaspora. They are making a mockery of your culture, or is this part of the great Nigerian culture? undecided

Ami’s behavior is part of swirl culture, not Nigerian culture. African American swirlers exhibit it, African swirlers exhibit it, Caribbean swirlers exhibit it. In order to tackle the problem, we have to start from the root and not the head.

All these bile from Dynast is pointless. He is just trying to create a negative and untrue picture about Nigerians and Africans seeing as most AA’s haven’t been to Africa. He is also trying to state an intra-race war between AA’s and Africans (kind of like the black gender war on YouTube) while profiting off the proceeds of that battle.

Dynast is coming to Nigeria is August 2018. Like a snake in the grass, he will mingle with the people (who will welcome him with open arms) only to gather fodder with which to forment strife amongst Afro people. His whole YouTube platform is a lie, because he seeks to do the exact opposite of his stated purpose.
