Just recently, i recieved a txt frm unknwn individual asking for my acount detail dat he wants to make the payment. i dismised it as spam but the mesage was repeated. the same person also caled, when i pickd , i realise he counldnt mutter meaning ful wrds that one can undrstand so i hung up. this same individual would nt stop caling my fone. at a point i became infuriated and scolded d stranger to make him stop. the followin day, he called again. this time around in a calm tone, so i played along. after exchangin greetings, he asked me to snd him the acount nau. that he needs it to make the payment. told him i had no airtime if he dosnt mind he should snd me airtym so i can do dat. 2mins later the airtym came in. i forward my acount details imediately, gues what, 32,500 came in within minuetes.. it took Four good days for dis man to realise his error and start caling for a refund . i also realise his location is kano state while am base in south south. what do u guyz tink?

Before returning it ask for the person account details,go to ur bank and confirm if the money sent was from the account he gave u because it might be a case of fraud where by the scammer will send the money to ur account den after some days will den call you back that he send the money to a wrong account that u should refund the money after refunding..police will start tracing the account the money was sent to initially n it will lead to u,ur account will be freeze,police will come for u n ask u to provide the person u sent d money too..so just be careful

I was also affected by the Covid-19 issue and some of the loan apps have been on my neck ever since.

9CREDIT is the main app disturbing my life, they harassed me on phone and on two occasions sent embarrassing text messages to some of my contacts. I managed to hustle 2k from someone and quickly made part payment. After one week a rude lady called me and was still shouting and making threats, I just hung up and vowed I was never going to make the rest of the payment until I securely had the money to do so. They can go ahead and text all my contacts if they like, that is pure defamation of character and they can be sued for that.

I am not a thief and before the pandemic I have always paid on time, I will not allow a petty organisation continue bullying me over money that is not upto 10k. The situation is really sad, they suddenly turn ur life upside down and make u overwhelmed in your activities. Something really needs to be done about these loan apps and their recovery methods.

best thing to to...revoke the permission u gave there app on ur phone and Dy will not b able to get ur contact from your phone to call or text

Allaah has stated in His Book that the kuffaar bear enmity towards us and they would not spare any effort to cause us harm, and they wish us ill, and they will not be pleased until we follow their way. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“O you who believe! Take not as (your) Bitaanah (advisors, consultants, protectors, helpers, friends) those outside your religion (pagans, Jews, Christians, and hypocrites) since they will not fail to do their best to corrupt you. They desire to harm you severely. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their breasts conceal is far worse. Indeed We have made plain to you the Ayaat (proofs, evidences, verses) if you understand.

119. Lo! You are the ones who love them but they love you not, and you believe in all the Scriptures [i.e. you believe in the Tawraat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), while they disbelieve in your Book, the Qur’aan]. And when they meet you, they say, ‘We believe.’ But when they are alone, they bite the tips of their fingers at you in rage. Say: ‘Perish in your rage. Certainly, Allaah knows what is in the breasts (all the secrets).’

120. If a good befalls you, it grieves them, but if some evil overtakes you, they rejoice at it. But if you remain patient and become Al-Muttaqoon (the pious — See V.2:2), not the least harm will their cunning do to you. Surely, Allaah surrounds all that they do”

Ibn Katheer (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: The words of Allaah, “Take not as (your) Bitaanah (advisors, consultants, protectors, helpers, friends) those outside your religion” mean people other than you, the followers of other religions. A man’s bitaanah (advisors, friends, etc) are his closest friends who know about his private affairs. Then he narrated the report of Ibn Abi Haatim with his isnaad from Ibn Abi’l-Dahqaanah, who said: It was said to ‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab (may Allaah be pleased with him): There is a slave from the people of Heerah who is literate; why don’t you employ him as a scribe? He said: Then I would have taken a bitaanah from people other than the believers. Ibn Katheer said: This report, along with this verse, indicates that it is not permissible to employ ahl al-dhimmah as scribes in a position of authority over the Muslims where they can become acquainted with their private affairs, where there is the fear that they may disclose them to enemies among ahl al-harb. Hence Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “since they will not fail to do their best to corrupt you. They desire to harm you severely”.
