Hi guys, Good job to everyone that has contributed. Pls earlier this month we heard Lagos isn't giving responses for Emergency Appointment dates booked, I would like to ask if their request are now been attended to. And if anyone has recently gotten an EA date from Lagos.
Who has recently applied to Lagos for EA and was approved to kindly share.
I believe more dates would still come for intending students.
Good luck guys.

Politics / Re: 11 Investors Indicate Interest In Ajaokuta by pimppimp(m): 6:33am On Jan 17, 2019
I think the greatest mistake shagari made, was to build ajaokuta steel plant in 1979, which was in 90% stage completion, previous government of this nation have just been ridiculously unserious, yet they claim manufacturing sector is stable, may I remind them that the GDP, of any nation is directly proportional to the quantity of steel produced and consumed.
To re-awaken the steel sector is not rocket science, stop the politics, make use of technocrats, stop unfair tapping of the mineral resources by foreign nations, let's use the wealth of the nation to develop our self, yes the resources are there, we got bright mind to manage the plant we have the right technology if we decide to get serious...God bless Nigeria

OGA what you listed there really needs education beyond secondary school leaving certificate. Sometimes what you learning outside the four walls of the university is much more valuable in the current labour market than university degree... but the stress and experience u would need would almost be equivalent to the degree,

Politics / Ajaokuta Steel Manufacturing Company- It's Either It Works NOW Or NEVER by pimppimp(m): 11:43am On Feb 06, 2016
Ajaokuta was established in the 70's during former president sheu shagari's regime, since then it has been in a comatose state, No continuity, No much progress so far.
It good to know that The GDP of any Nation is directly proportional to the quantity of metals produced or consumed in that Nation. The moment a nation takes serious cognisance of the steel sector the better it is for the country. Iron and steel is very Imperative for Industrialisation. A country that can boast of its Iron and steel, is invariably at the edge of Becoming a manufacturing nation. Developed nations like the United States became a manufacturing nation, the moment where it not just discovered but utilised it iron and steel sector which brought about rapid industrialisation for them. In a developing nation like Nigeria, diversification of the Nation into the Iron and steel sector would be a gain not just for Employment reasons but also enhances it's GDP. In some places in Nigeria, Where we have cases on structural Integrity failure would be minimised, because no Country would be able to use us as a dumping ground, China over six years ago has been among the top world producers and exporters of steels, ditto to that has made them to export both standard and sub-standard product. Unfortunately Nigeria is one of the nation where Substandard steel product are been exported to because of our Inability to produce our own iron and steel, which in turn leads to most of this structural integrity failure we have around today .if we could produce our own Iron and steel very carefully, this would lead to lesser failure analysis, and we won't just be producing to encourage the manufacturing sector, but also Exporting our produce to other countries which in turn increase our GDP...

Can you all please give additional reasons why Ajaokuta steel company must be revatilized??

Mod. Pls can you move this to the front page let people be informed.

Politics / Re: Buhari Sacks His Liaison Officer by pimppimp(m): 12:41am On Oct 11, 2015
Good one. Honestly, I believe President Muhammadu Buhari has the best interest of the country at heart and with time, things will get better. We know the level of expectation is high. It's not as if he met a country that was having it all rosy when he got in. For those praying for his failure, remember you might get the chance to gloat but Buhari's failure will be Nigeria's failure. I believe in God. I Believe in Nigeria. I know that by may 29 2019, Nigeria would be much better than Buhari met it.
Please just try and put Nigeria in your daily prayers. Thanks.
