PPR Alert!!! Family application of 4. (Applied for family members, a father and 3kids). Purpose: family reunification to join mother and daughter who are international students. Application date: GC Key - Nov 27, 2021 Biometrics: Nov 29, 2021 (only father & oldest child, other two children are below 10yrs). After 14days and no feedback I decided to try the new portal. Re-application on New Portal: Dec 13, 2021 (After 14days and no feedback I started sending scattered emails now and then, afterwards I noticed eligibility began. Then nothing again for one month, so I started sending emails again (now consistently morning and night to IRCC Nairobi, from early Feb for about two weeks). Feb 25: BVL Mar 1: PPR for all 4 of them ( 4days after Bvl). IRCC likes us to disturb them with emails, lol. Sometimes it’s what propels them to look into your application. God is great. Thank you Jesus. 9 Likes

IT’S ANOTHER PPR FOR MY FAMILY!!! So, in May, I applied for my hubby’s niece. I did everything myself just like I did my own application. My hubby (her paternal uncle) sponsored her. Application: May 14 Background check: May 14 Upfront Medicals: May 19 (updated to pass May 26, same day I submitted the e-slip). Biometrics: May 26 Applied for GCMS Notes: July 7 Received GCMS Notes: Aug 5 Eligibility started: Aug 5 BVL/PPR: Sept 2 Documents submitted: PROOF OF FUNDS: *1 Full Year Tuition receipt *Sponsor’s company’s CAC certificate *Sponsor’s company’s Tax certificate *Sponsor’s MYBANKSTATEMENT Ticket and Password *Sponsor’s Bank Reference Letter *Sponsor’s Int’l Passport *Sponsor’s Letter of Sponsorship *Sponsor’s court sworn Affidavit of Sponsorship MAIN DOCUMENTS * Immigration Forms *Letter of Acceptance *Letter of Co-op requirement *Birth Certificate *Int’l Passport Data Page SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS *Statement of purpose *WAEC Certificate and Result Printout *Travel Stamps on Int’l Passport HOME TIES *Affidavit of Return signed by her parents *Parents and siblings birth certificates *Family Pictures with family & sponsor’s children Economic Ties (personal and financial assets) *Her Father’s property deed of assignment (I indicated in her SOP that as her father’s first child, she is set to inherit the property, so would definitely return home). *I didn’t include her bank statement because it’s quite new and she’s underage. Based on that I wrote in her letter of sponsorship that her uncle would pay her living expenses into a GIC account that would be opened for her after her visa has been approved. Also, I included in her sponsorship letter that in addition to sponsoring her education and taking care of her living expenses that her uncle(sponsor) is committed to hiring her in his company after graduation, which is one of the reasons he’s sponsoring her. NOTE: her proposed program is in line with what his company does. Once again, it has ended in Praise for my family!!! POINTS TO NOTE: I went against the norm but God answered me still. *College application (she just turned 18yrs). *Uncle sponsorship *No personal bank statement What might have worked in her favour *Uncle (Sponsor) paid one full year tuition *Bears same surname with Uncle *Uncle (Sponsor) indicated in his sponsorship letter that she’s his favorite niece who’s like a daughter to him. He also mentioned how bright and intelligent she is, and that he’ll do anything to see her fulfill her dreams and succeed in life. Also, he pointed out he had only two children aged 12 and 13, and that sponsoring his niece wouldn’t have any effect on his finances or resources because he has enough to cater for all. We backed up this claims with evidence. For her SOP, I wrote how much she loves her chosen course and why she picked her DLI among a pool of other possible schools. I also mentioned why Nigeria wasn’t an option because of the combination of courses she’ll be studying, plus the interaction with students from various parts of the world which will in turn enrich her studying experience above what is obtainable here in Nigeria. Also that her studying in Canada Will give her an edge over her peers in the same industry, and equip her to be the best in her job in her uncle’s (sponsor) company on her return. I believe all of the above plus fervent prayers sealed her approval. She even fasted at some point and sowed a seed of faith/thanksgiving. God is indeed awesome. It is JOYOUS CELEBRATION in my family right now WHAT THIS GOD CANNOT DO DOES NOT EXIST! TO EVERYONE STILL AWAITING PPR, GOD WILL SURELY PERFECT IT JUST LIKE HE DID FOR MY FAMILY. HOLD ON TO HIM AND DON’T LET GO. 61 Likes 2 Shares

Iffylove: Yes. Send both your MybankStatement certificates and your sponsor’s. Don’t send the regular bank statement cos IRCC doesn’t seem to accept that anymore. The reason I say this is because most applicants who have sent the regular statement always get a request to send their MBS Certificate instead. |

LadyBlaq: I’m not sure this is totally correct. The instruction is to present a negative Covid-19 test result not later than 72hrs before travel. And not 72hrs before travel. I believe yours was almost later than 72hrs (hence will expire by the time you land in Canada) that was why the immigration officer at the MMA was pointing it out to you that your test result will soon expire. The idea is to take the test WITHIN 72hrs before your trip, preferably a day before you travel. “If you're flying to Canada, you must take a test within 72 hours of the scheduled departure time of your flight to Canada. Airlines will refuse boarding to travellers who are unable to provide a valid molecular test result.” I’m not too sure about the arrival testing, but this is what I got. Taking your arrival test When you enter Canada, you'll be instructed to either take an arrival test at the border, or receive a home test kit. You may also get a kit to use on Day-8 of your mandatory quarantine.” You can read more about it here: https://travel.gc.ca › travel-restrictions https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/travel-restrictions/flying-canada-checklist/covid-19-testing-travellers-coming-into-canada 2 Likes |

Just yesterday you were congratulating @Lianna on her landing gist and telling God that His baby is ready for flight connections and chatting in the air! And here you’re today ready to do just that in a matter of weeks It goes to show that words are indeed powerful! More so, when you celebrate and rejoice with others you’ll also be celebrated and rejoice in no time. Congratulations once again. Go and conquer! 27 Likes 1 Share |

Freebands01: It’s simple, just Google constituency members of parliament in Canada. Send emails to the ones serving in the district where your school is located. As for the body of the message, just appeal to their good conscience by pleading for them to assist in inquiring into the status of your application and to help expedite the final decision. {It’ll Surely End In Praise for us All} 1 Like |

Ekulu77: The custodian form is an IRCC requirement for minors below 17yrs seeking to apply for study permit. It’s a document that has to be signed by an individual designated by the minor’s family as his/her guardian in Canada. The document needs to be signed before a legal practitioner in Canada with his stamp affixed. The parents of the minor applicant needs to sign the document too. The applicant will then include it in their application before submission. 3 Likes |

I took my first dose of the Covid vaccine yesterday, and my, I’m knocked down with chills, fever and body aches. I was warned that it’ll happen on the second day but I had no idea I’d feel this way. So yeah, I’m back in bed now. Plus this cold weather is not helping matters too I just had to quickly hop in and share my testimony/timeline. Lekiboboe: Hello @Lekiboboe from my understanding, normal Study Permit does not come with a work permit but rather an “authorization to work.” That’s why it is written something like “permitted to work for 20/hrs per week during study session...” So, it’s not a work permit. However, if your program comes with a CO-OP component, you’ll be issued with a separate Open Work Permit, in addition to the usual 20/hrs weekly authorization to work. So yes, I’ll be getting both. And the good thing about the co-op course is that the second semester when my co-op is expected to start, I’ll be working full 40hrs during school session (this is basically because the co-op program is essential to my studies). in addition to utilizing the 20/hr weekly authorization to work. 7 Likes |

Omankem8: Amen. That’s the spirit. My small advice to everyone still awaiting PPR and hasn’t done Medicals or ordered for their GCMS notes is to do so immediately. My GCMS note was practically empty save for an update that was done on the 16th of June! Let me just say that requesting for my notes prompted them to look into my file. Also, I sent emails and webform to Nairobi and Lagos offices twice. I used @Awys format of pleading with them. The first one I wrote I was demanding that they expedite it because it has exceeded current processing time. They ignored me without a response But they responded to the second one of me pleading with them, and told me I’ll be updated soon. My primary office was Nairobi while the secondary was London. Those London people did nothing until my notes were requested and they started forwarding documents to Nairobi. Kai! The same day my GCMS notes arrived my eligibility review started. And it took them less than 48hrs to review and issue PPR!!! Also, my program comes with CO-OP, so I’ll be getting an SW-1 study permit (that is both a Study Permit and an Open Work Permit) rather than the normal S-1 permit. I peeped from my notes that my work permit has already been issued and that gave me a glimmer of hope, cos I didn’t see anything like that in my last year’s refusal notes. So, please everyone, let’s be proactive about our applications, rather than wait for IRCC, do an upfront medicals and order for your GCMS notes(especially if your times has exceeded normal processing times. It’ll go a long way. Shalom! 19 Likes |

IT IS PPR MY PEOPLE!!! WHERE ARE MY FELLOW MARCH FOLKS??!!! GOD IS TOO MUCH. PLEASE NOTE: VERY VERY VERY LONG POST!!! This journey started last year (click on my moniker to read my first post on thread 18 to get an idea of what I’m talking about). CANADA HAS BEEN A BIG DREAM OF MINE. I’VE BEEN ALMOST EVERYWHERE BUT CANADA (LOL). I PRAYED THIS APPROVAL INTO EXISTENCE. I FASTED, KEPT DOING MIDNIGHT PRAYERS AND JOINED NSPPD PRAYER ALTAR WITH PASTOR JERRY EZE DAILY, BECAUSE THERE’S A HUGE POTENTIAL BUSINESS/CAREER OPPORTUNITY I’M HOPING TO EXPLORE IN CANADA AFTER MY STUDIES AND THIS ROUTE IS THE BEST WAY I KNOW TO ACHIEVE IT. THROUGH THIS ROUTE I’LL BE KILLING THE PROVERBIAL TWO BIRDS WITH ONE STONE, (THAT IS GETTING A CANADIAN QUALIFICATION WHICH WILL AID A GREAT DEAL WITH THIS PARTICULAR OPPORTUNITY). AND TODAY GOD DID IT!!! Background Check: commenced 5th March, 2021 Upfront Medical: 25th February, 2021 (submitted with my application on 4th Mar. But was only updated on 16th June same day after I resent it) Ordered GCMS Notes: May 25th Received GCMS Notes: June 24th (nothing much was in it). Was contemplating sending another one next week. Eligibility Review: commenced 24th June BVL/PPR: June 26 Going for a 1yr PG certificate. This was a 2nd Application. First application I did not include any of the above documents. I was a complete novice. (Lol). I didn’t even include my Tuition receipt or CAC or property docs, nothing at all, just my LOA, qualifications and passport that’s all. But thank God for Nairaland where I learned everything I needed to know for a successful application (especially, as a self-sponsored applicant). Also, since I didn’t include vital docs in my last application, I decided to overload them with documents this time around I keyed in to @justexcellent testimony of his approval and wrote out the same prayer points he used while I fasted earlier this year. God bless you all richly and establish us in our quests for destiny fulfillment. A big thank you goes out to @frankrobbn, @justmellow, @justexcellent (for that wonderful and inspiring testimony), @lekiboboe for your tireless constant help here, and of course to everyone new and old who has contributed to the success of this thread thereby helping fulfill destinies. God bless and reward you all abundantly in Jesus Mighty name. End Note: my love letter arrived while I was praying this morning by 4am. Didn’t realize it until I checked by 12noon thereabout. Didn’t know they send PPRs on Saturdays!!! INDEED WHAT GOD CANNOT DO DOES NOT EXIST. 45 Likes 1 Share

Iffylove: You book for biometrics AFTER you’ve submitted your application not before. You have to pay for both application and biometrics fees at the same time on submission which is a total of CAD235. Afterwards, a biometrics request letter will drop in your GCKey account (usually within 24hrs of submission) then you can book for it. What you booked earlier is not valid. |
