Education / Re: ABU Didn't Admit Goodness Thomas Into MBBS Cos In Niger Alone She Ranked No. 7 by planetzone10: 9:42am On Dec 20, 2019
When Nigerian politicians wants to justify illegality with their speech, they muddle up facts and fictions together, knowing fully well that only few would bother to sift through the two. Whoever this guy is I don't know, but he'll make a good Nigerian politician. He is good at spewing out jargons and thrash thoroughly mixed together and making look like he's talking sensibly. He said and I quote "
As regards the case of one Goodness Thomas, she would have made it for the MBBS Merit list from her state but unfortunately she was number 7 on the list in terms of jamb score from Niger state* and only the first two were picked as it is in d case with all other 36 states and the FCT, she also wouldn’t have made it for the 2nd & 3rd criteria for admission as the number from the Medical and Dental Board limits ABU MBBS to only 120students per session so please do the maths how would U have admitted Goodness into MBBS and justify it even if U are on the admissions committee" the question I want to ask this guy is: did everybody who had very high score in jamb in each state apply to ABU as this statement he made which I quoted above suggests? No matter how cosmopolitan ABU is, most first generation federal universities are just as much cosmopolitan. I finished from University of Ibadan, and one of the best young lecturer in my department(mathematics) at that time was from Kano state and other departments had lecturers from across the country too. So let's call a spade exactly what it is, a girl scored above three hundred and we have someone here telling us why not admitting her to the faculty of medicine in ABU is justified, what a load of bullshit! there is no justification for turning down such a brilliant young mind. I wish that girl had applied to university of Ibadan instead of ABU, then she would have been able to realize her dreams.
Politics / Re: President Buhari Commissions Made-in-Nigeria “Ezugwu” MRAP Vehicles by planetzone10: 10:52pm On Dec 03, 2019
There is no way in the world this contraption can qualify for a MRAP. MRAP means mine resistance ambush protected vehicle. Looking closely at the picture which shows the president holding the door of the vehicle I can conveniently suggest that the supposed MRAP was made with thick aluminum sheets!! Just a single well aimed RPG is all it would take to scatter everything along with the unlucky occupants of such a vehicle at the war front! Manufacturers of MRAP across the globe employ different methods to make their product worthy of that name, I can't see any of such methods in the design of this vehicle. MRAP has to be actually strong enough to withstand land mines with little or no injury to its occupant. I doubt if this vehicle can do that. The best that can be hoped for in this vehicle is protection from rounds fired from assault rifles. Rounds fired from 50 calibre heavy matching guns like U.S M2 Brownian machine gun or Russia's DSHK will rip that door in pieces! The only thing that looks real in this picture is the weapon mounted on the tu

I am telling.. By looking at it. You just know they don't have a knowledge of what they are doing, and no research was out into it.... Just weld nonsense, and call a whole president of the largest black nation to inaugurate what anybody can wake up and do, no innovation, just plain Jane and they expect us to clap.. Hyi. Who do us...

Business / Re: Dangote's $13b Generator Arrives In Nigeria, Femi Otedola Witnesses The Arrival by planetzone10: 9:56pm On Aug 23, 2019
The O.P got the news all mixed up as no electric generator in the world can be that costly!! $13 billion is approximately the amount it would cost to construct two nuclear power plant that would permanently solve all our electricity problem as a nation. Now to say that that same amount is what it cost to buy a generator that can not meet the electricity need of just Lagos state alone is nothing but pure fallacy!! I think $13 billion is the cost of the entire Dangote refinery project which the generator is ment to serve.

Crime / Re: Judge Orders 22-week Pregnant Disabled Woman To Have Abortion by planetzone10: 9:10am On Jun 23, 2019
I believe there are some things a court can not order a person to do. Committing abortion is one of them. The judgment and the reasons adduced by the judge are totally ridiculous! It shows the judge is strongly pro-abortion and wants to force his/her
views on others whether they like it or not. She could have ordered that the baby upon being delivered be taken care of by the grandmother or by the state or be given up for adoption but she didn't, instead she insisted that the baby be killed before being born! If I were the mother of the mentally disabled woman, I would just ignore the ruling, let's wait and see the person who would come and enforce it!!

Crime / Re: Igbo, Nigerian Traders Attacked In Togo (Photos, Video) by planetzone10: 12:52pm On Jun 21, 2019
Something tells me there is more to this story than meets the eye. First of, all I see are five guys being attacked, I believe there are more than just five Nigerians living in Togo. So if the attack is as a result of homophobia, you need more than just this video to prove it. Secondly the OP displayed crass stupidity in the way he framed his story, if these guys were attacked because they are Nigerians, you can be damn sure that their Togolese attackers don't give a Bleep about their Igbo ethnicity. They would just as easily have attacked a Yoruba person or an Hausa person as long as they are Nigerians. So my advice to the OP is: learn to think and speak outside the realm of ethnic loyalty for once. Your ethnicity don't mean shit outside the shores of Nigeria. So refer to those being attacked as Nigerians( if truly they are) and not as Igbo men.

Crime / Re: A.O Subair Commits Suicide! University Of Ibadan Maths Lecturer Set Self On Fire by planetzone10: 10:06am On Apr 06, 2019
I am saddened by this news, this is a very sad news indeed. Subair was one of my lectures back in the days at the department of mathematics UI. He was very hard working, very brilliant and very strict. I think he thought algebra if my memory serves me right. He even married one of my course mates! He was her supervisor and the next thing we knew, he was her fiancé!! I remember thinking in 2002 that this guy had a very bright future in his line of work because he was simply very brilliant. In saner clime, he would have become a professor by now. But a musician sang"This is Nigeria, look how we're living now... ".
What a waste of talent!!

Romance / Re: My Girlfriend Is Too Stubborn, Please Advise Me by planetzone10: 9:16am On Mar 08, 2019
OP, each time you point an accusing finger at her, your four other fingers points right back at you. From your write up I can see the reason why she reacts the way she does and I simply don't blame her at all. What you need is not a girlfriend, what you need is a robot! You know, a machine that takes orders and obey them without thinking because it has no mind of its own. Lucky for you scientists and engineers have made impressive advances in that direction. You just need to wait for just two or three years and you'll have your own personal, controllable, obedient, submissive robot girlfriend! If you want her to change towards you then you need to change your obsession for controlling her. The only one who is at fault here is you, not her!!

A whooping 4 billion naira just for a roundabout!! Well, permit me to give you the break down of how the money was spent:
1) Amount allocated for the project: 700 million
2)Amount allocated for embezzlement: 3.3 billion.

A musician penned down some lyric which goes like this: this is Nigeria, look how we're living now....

Very vague prophecies... I think it's because not all last years prophecies came to pass and people noticed... Like the one about STD and the one that says things will improve before the end of the year
I am really surprised at your ignorance! your post shows clearly that you really didn't follow happenings on the international community last year! Well its my pleasure to educate you. Last year Zika virus actually metamorphosed into an STD. And was confirmed transmitted through sex from from a man to a woman in Texas USA by the CDC( center for disease control) which is a U.S government agency established to fight infectious diseases, you can Google this information for confirmation. Now guess what? Pastor Adeboye said in January 2016 that a new STD will appear. At the middle of the year, Zika virus which hitherto was not transmitted through sex suddenly developed the ability to infect a new host through sex!

Politics / Re: 20 Fulanis And 80 Cows Killed In Nasarawa by planetzone10: 4:28pm On May 02, 2016
I think the Fulani leader got it wrong about who attacked his community. He said that the attackers were trying to rustle 83 cows! Now question is: what would Agatu youth be doing with the business of cattle rustling bearing in mind that farming is their major occupation? his community was attacked by cattle rustlers who are themselves Fulanis. So my advice: leave Agatu youth out of your family squabble
