#OgunUnrest, #Lagosunrest is on the top spot of the Nigerian Twitter trends, and it took the prominent position after residents of some communities in Lagos state took to the streets to defend themselves against robbers.

In the last few days, there’s been reports of robbers taking advantage of the lockdown order issued by President Buhari in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, to loot shops and also rob some households.



The reoccurring incident has pushed residents into becoming vigilantes, as they also accused the police of portraying a lackadaisical attitude in curbing the escalated crime rate in the state.

A police officer had no idea he was being filmed after he allegedly extorted 40,000 Naira from a man who defied the lockdown order so he could get food.



In a video going viral on Twitter, Officer Taloju Martins, the SO of Ago Police station in Lagos State, is seen counting 1,000 Naira notes that he allegedly forced a Lagos resident to pay after he was caught outside on Friday, 10, April 2020 at Ago.



The video was widely shared and the officer has now been arrested.

The Lagos State Police Command announced his arrest on Twitter, writing: “The Police Officer from Ago Division in the trending video has been identified and arrested. He will be subjected to internal disciplinary proceedings known as Orderly room trial. #SayNOtoImpunity #BeSafe.

Sarasota: A 68-year-old man who died this morning from COVID-19 left nurses and doctors with a story to tell.



Milo Morris (not his real name, his name was withheld for privacy reasons) who was diagnosed with COVID-19 last week told the nurses and doctors at a health care facility in Sarasota that he will be dead in the next 24-hours. Some of the doctors agreed with him which prompted the nurses to ask him whats his last wish.

According to one of the nurses Milo pointed at one of the young female doctors and said he wants her to give him his last nut and he will rest in peace. “He was not joking and you can tell from his face he was saying something he really wanted”.
