Romance / Re: Why Do Ladies Love Pet Names by PNubia: 4:52pm On May 09, 2011
For my part, it's because I like it when my husband is all gentle on me. It's like a password or something between the two of us smiley
Business / Re: How Can We Combat Fraud In Nigeria? by PNubia: 4:50pm On May 09, 2011
You know it's a sad thing that we are being generalized as a nation of scammers. I have some friends who I meet through Facebook and they ask me pointblank if I am a scammer. It's frustrating that these scammers are ruining our good name!

Hi there!

I was wondering if you use social media for your businesses? What are you doing and how is it improving your sales? I'd just like to hear what others are doing before getting into it.

First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has announced its first quarter unaudited results for the three-month period ended March 31, 2011, with a profit before tax (PBT) of N3.4billion, and continued improvement across all major performance indicators.

According to a statement by the bank on Thursday, the Group profit before tax for the three months ended March 31, 2011 grew by 204 percent to N3.4billion from N1.1billion for the same period in the previous financial year.

“Loan quality improved in the first quarter with the non-performing loan ratio falling to 5.2 percent from 8 percent as at March 2010 and 5.5 percent as at 31 December 2010.” FCMB’s Group Managing Director, Ladi Balogun assured that barring any unforeseen circumstances, performance indices would continue to improve during the course of the financial year.

Frankly, am not surprised. The FCMB has been showing continuous growth and improvement and it's all because of Mr. Ladi Balogun's stewardship! He's the brains behind all these progress at both FCMB and City Monument Bank!
Career / Re: Ladi Balogun Is My Idol! by PNubia: 4:32pm On May 09, 2011
This is a nice idea! I think that we should all talk about our idols. Nigerians who have succeeded through hard work and competence!

I would agree that Ladi Balogun is a good choice to start this topic, I am in awe of his impressive track record, both as a savvy businessman and an upstanding citizen!
