Romance / Get Married For The Right Reasons... by porchester(m): 11:20am On Jan 19, 2016
A lot of people think marriage is the most important thing in life; they wouldn’t mind getting married with a leg or an arm so they can be among that statistics that have the Married tag. Actually, I used to be like that! This syndrome is mostly peculiar to women but I also know some men who would give anything just to be married. They endure the unimaginable, do the undoable and truly they end up being married. I have news for you; Marriage is not the ultimate of your life! Yes, it’s one of the most important things in life but it’s not the only important thing in a human’s life.
Marriage is a beautiful thing; in fact it’s one of the most beautiful things. It can make you become a better person; and it can turn your life around for the better if you have a good one. However, have you ever stopped to think: “What if I marry wrongly?”, “What if I am not happy?”, “What if this marriage leads me to commit suicide?”
You know, one of my favourite mentors once told me; “I really want you to be married, but please make sure you don’t rush into it. Make sure you get it right because if you don’t, your life would become meaningless. Everything you have achieved will become sour to you and your life can become a living hell”.
This scared me out of my wits, in fact I had to pause to really weigh my options because I am too happy and free of a person to be miserable for the rest of my life.
Many marriages are enviable on the outside but on a closer look, they are laden with hurts and disappointments; a lot of cover up, unhappiness and deep regret inside. In fact, marriages of five months or less already have cracks. It got to a stage that I became scared and I thought if people who showed undying love for each other during courtship could end up this way; then what is the fate of the world? I found out that marriage is very important but it’s not the ultimate in life. So, do not get married at all cost just because you don’t want to be termed single. Get married for the right reasons...
Being miserable in marriage can lead to many things. A few are discussed below.
1.) You can lose your esteem: A bad marriage can make you lose your self esteem; in fact, it can make you believe that you are lesser than who you are. If you are the type that words get to very easily, continuous verbal abuse and shabby treatment from your spouse can make you lose your self-worth. Living becomes meaningless and boring routines.
2) You can lose your life: A lot of us are familiar with the infamous story of the banker that was stabbed to death by her husband. They were married with a child but in the heat of things, he stabbed her so many times that she died. If she wasn’t married, probably she would be alive by now. I am sure you would agree with me that being alive and single is a lot better than being married and dead; death caused by your spouse. Some people actually end their own life because their marriage isn’t working and they just can’t go on anymore.
3) You can be empty: Some people are married and their lives are actually empty. Have you heard about lonely married people? In fact, there are many of them today in our environment. Marriage isn’t supposed to make you lonely, on the contrary your spouse should be your companion and as such you should not be a lonely person. A lot of people in this part of the world stay married because of the stigma of divorce, not because they want to. There are lots of marriages that are just a sham, an act or even in certificate because emptiness has taken over their lives....
I repeat, do not get married at all cost just because you don’t want to be termed single. Get married for the right reasons...

Education / Married In School, Single At Home by porchester(m): 11:47am On Jan 12, 2016
Thinking about this topic, I’ve been wondering
who the focus of this post should be – girls or
guys or both.
In almost every tertiary institution in Nigeria, you
find ‘undergraduate couples’ living as husbands
and wives. You find a lot of these misguided
people in virtually all schools. It’s so bad that,
often times, they are duly recognized and
acknowledged as couples by lodge neighbors,
classmates and even leaders of various students
associations. Little wonder there is such an
award as “The best couple of the year award”
shamelessly and thoughtlessly received by
students..Like I said earlier, I really don’t know
the particular gender to address but let me just
keep typing. The rate at which girls live with
their boyfriends in their various off campus
hostels is painfully alarming.
Most times, these young girls are very beautiful,
with bright and promising future. They cohabit
with boys who are their fellow students as
roommates. The lugubrious part of it is that the
silly girl would always introduce the small boy as
her fiance..Our society is really sick courtesy of
those that live in it. These girls collect either
hostel fees or house rents from unsuspecting
(and sometimes, struggling)parents and end up in
the house of a boy. You struggled possibly for
several years to gain admission. Then you
suddenly became a prayer warrior posting and
shouting ‘Amen’ at the slighted provocation. You
fasted. You had one prayer point filled with
promises of your loyalty and devotion to God if
only He would answer your prayer. Now that He
has fulfilled His part by answering and granting
you admission, don’t you think He is expecting
you to fulfill your own part, to keep whatever
promises you made to Him??.
Many of you just got admission and once you
settle down (especially from your second year),
crazy thoughts will begin to creep into your
minds. Yes by then, the heat of the rush would
have been over; If God didn’t capture you
(possibly through the various campus
fellowships), boys would have caught you. In my
school we even have an unrecognized,
unregistered but well offered course .
For d guys its a course that shouldn't be carried
over.
Soon, they would persuade you to move in with
them. Of course, they’d give you one thousand
reasons to make you give in to their
prodding..Before you agree to move in and live
with a boy on campus, consider the reason why
you are in school in the first place. What image
would you be creating about yourself?
Can this boy marry you in case you get pregnant
for him as is always the case, or will you resort
to series of abortions like many other girls before
you?
What advice will you give your children in future
concerning this kind of things? After school,
what next? Will the relationship really lead you
anywhere?.
This post is finally addressing the female folks. I
didn’t plan it that way. Maybe it’s because they
are the worst hit by the grave consequences of
illicit sexual relationships. They are the ones that
turn out to be the sore losers in the end. They
call it school life but they don’t realize how
idiotic they have been till it’s too late. You are
not in school to get married. Part of the reasons
why you are in school IS NOT to get the
husband-and-wife experience, to see what it
feels like for the boy to provide the money for
food and for the girl to go to the market for food
stuffs and cook. That’s pure misplacement of
purpose!
One guy told me that he was practically learning
how tobe a caring and romantic husband. Such
shameless! Then you hear the girl say, “We are
not doing anything, we are just roommates”. Yet
she commits countless abortions before
graduation..Yes, your admission has given you
unlimited freedom. Yes, your parents are not
there to tell you what to do or what not to do.
There is even no blood relation around, so
there's no fear of someone reporting you. But
what about giving your womanhood respect and
protecting your dignity?
What about living in such a way as to have a
positive story to tell the next generation
(including your children) without your conscience
pricking you?
What Goes Around Will Definitely Come Around....

Romance / In Heartbreaks And Anger? Forgiveness Is The Key by porchester(m): 11:49am On Dec 18, 2015
We have all been hurt by another person at one time or another. We have been treated poorly, had our hearts broken or been angry in some way.

Hurt, anger and heartbreak are human emotions that are a fact of life, but how you deal with these emotions has a huge impact on your overall happiness and well-being. Before you can begin to let go of anger and heartbreak you need to consider the effects that these emotions have on your well-being.

Everyone has the right to grieve a loss or the end of a relationship. Everyone is upset or angry at some point throughout their lives. These emotions are part of the healing process and they help us grow emotionally.

It is when this grieving process lasts too long that it becomes an issue. Holding on to heartbreak, hurt and anger can lead to bitterness, depression and lack of self-esteem. These emotions will hold you back from happiness if you dwell on them for too long.Clinging on to anger and heartbreak are a common issue, especially among women.

Many ladies have suffered bad break-up’s and the effects of these situations take a toll on their lives. Ladies tend to hold on to these emotions more than men because they are highly emotionally driven and they tend to over analyze more than men do, often asking why and reliving the situation in search of answers. With many women the anger and heartbreak they feel initially roots itself deep inside and holds on relentlessly.

It is this harbored anger and heartbreak that inevitably causes unhappiness and eventually puts strain on future relationships. If you aim to live a full and happy life it is important that you learn to let go of anger and heartbreak for good.
Being able to forgive those people who have hurt you in the past is a major step towards living a more positive life.
We must be free of(or as free as possible) anger and heartbreak before we can truly open ourselves up to positivity.

Health / Prevention Is Better Than Cure by porchester(m): 10:45am On Dec 07, 2015
I have personally witnessed an obvious change in the weather. U might have also witnessed it as well. That's good for you. But if you have not then please take note of these important advises.

To help guard your health and protect your life.
The weather is getting cold in the morning
Dry(humid) and hot in the afternoon.
These dramatic changes occurring in the weather poses many health risks and dangers upon us.

And we need to take critical look at them so we don't develop any complications.

As a result of these changes.
People are at a high risk for upper respiratory infections as a result of inhalation of dust
Epistaxis ; bleeding through the nose as a result of humid air that cause blood vessels in the nose to break.

Dehydration due to dry air or humidity
Eye infections like conjunctivitis due to dryness and dust.

Sore throat

Dried skins cracked lips and other lesions
High tendency of bleeding

Poor water hygiene may also occur leading to other gastrointestinal effects like vomiting and diarrhoea.

Preventive measures
Wear protective clothes such as jackets trousers socks and stockings wherever appropriate and necessary

Drink more water at 6 to 8 sachets or more

Use appropriate skin cream , the best I can recommend is Shea butter. Apply them on areas that are prone to dryness like the lips, hair, face heals of the foot etc.

Pls don't expose your body

Do as much as possible to avoid dusty areas. Leaders can help us sprinkle some water at dusty areas.

Cover your mouth when sneezing or coughing to prevent spread of infectious micro organisms.

Do as much as possible to prevent any form of injury since this can cause a lot bleeding.

Reduce Strenuous activities the lead to high oxygen demand.

Ensure good personal hygiene.

Take in more fruits and vegetables to help boost immunity

Take enough time to rest

Please let us spread this vital information so we can save lives. Remember prevention is better than to cure. Have a blessed week. For your health equipment call on us 08077707070 or visit our website www.aircomfortmall.com
Romance / Love Daily Devotion by porchester(m): 5:16pm On Dec 04, 2015
Love is not about how much you say “I love you,” but how much you prove that it’s true.
Healthy couples and lifelong fulfilling relationships do not just happen by accident. They are created consciously over time through mindful, mutual effort and sacrifice.
It starts with showing your partner affection today in a dozen little ways – searching for small consistent gestures that alone feel tiny but add up to a truly meaningful and personal relationship experience.
It’s about stringing the little wins of each day together to create a week, a month, a year, and then decades of shared joy. That’s right, lifelong health and happiness as a couple is built through daily devotion.
Literature / God Deliver Us From The Real Truth Of Unity And Love In Nigeria by porchester(m): 2:52pm On Dec 04, 2015
For the love of God why will we Igbo's allow the cunning ways of Satan to take away the bright light of God in our life's and our mind.. Who ever is behind this siege of Biafra should please for the love of God stop deceiving the rest of us Easterners.
Have we ever asked our parents especially our Fathers the history of Biafra and the war that broke out, may God not allow this present generation to experience such. Amen

My fellow Igbo's, its our right and justifiable if we are fighting for the rights of the Igbo's in our country, fighting for the recognition of the Biafra public holiday in the federation, its beautiful n wonderful if we are fighting for these.

How can we say we want Biafra when we easterners don't even have a well laid down foundation, how can we say we want Biafra when amongst us the Easterners we are not even in close relationship with our fellow neighboring brothers. How can we say we want Biafra when we have failed to applaud our brothers and sisters who had worked hard at the federal level and coming back to their home town and what did they get? Wickedness and hatred melted to them ..eg "Late Dora Akunyili".. Coming home to contest what did she get stones of pure water and yet we want Biafra. The same unfairness was also given to our former CBN governor Mr Soludo whom I admired so much. Yet we cry out that the Igbo's are not treated fairly in the federal level.
Let me take us to the incident that occurred between Former CBN governor "Lamido Sanusi" whom the president Goodluck Jonathan removed from the office and what did his people do?, they welcomed him home and made him their "Emire" this is an indication of love and unity.
My fellow Igbo's we need to be united first in truth and spirit, we need to be in love amongst our self's, we need to start investing first in our states, we need to develop our states first with all necessities of life. We need to start appreciating our self's no matter d level we find our self... Let's stop this self centeredness, this occultic ways of making money, this dubious ways of making money... Let's start doing great things in our states, in our country, in our towns, in our villages, in our clans.
Biafra will always live but not in blood shed and violence.

Long live Biafra! Long live peace in Nigeria!!.
