Gurus in the house, is it possible to Submit these documents alone for landed properties: Survey Plan, Stamped payment receipt from owner to buyer, Deed of assignment tho it doesn't have the Governors signature on it, your response would be greatly appreciated. |

quinstershaw: If you're being sponsored by someone, you need to provide the person's bank statement to prove financial sufficiency for your intended program in Canada. On the account that the money you're talking about here was from the sponsor of the applicant, is not a red flag. The sponsor should state in his/her sponsorship letter that s/he has transfered this amount into your account to prove financial support and funds accessibility. It will end in praise |

Ketima: They all serve same purpose with different names based on individual preferences. 1. Reference letter, 2. Letter of recommendation and 3. Letter of introduction are the same thing. You should make sure that your recommendation letter covers important clauses like your job title, salary renumeration, employment start date and your responsibilities in that capacity. Good day all. I'm considering enrolling in a 1 year postgraduate diploma program (PGD) in canada. What are my chances of becoming a permanent resident? Or will a 2 years course be better suited? |

RoyalDukeDon: Hello RoyalDukeDon, I understand that GIC isn't available for Nigeria with Scotia Bank. I am not so sure of CIBC, but I think early in the year, two people here confirmed that CIBC accepts GIC for Nigerian students and another person verified it. Why not reach out to CIBC by sending an email. Best of Luck |

Ifeomaindigo: Hello Ifeomaindigo, A career switch isn't best when it involves immigration, but this doesn't mean that the visa would be rejected. It is now up to the applicant to ensure that this doesn't happen by coming up with good reaons and evidence that the switch is merited; to help you develop or grow in the found new career interest. Yes, you can apply, in fact now is this best time. This is clearly evident to all eyes. Best of Luck 1 Like |

Hello Gurus in the house. I have gained admission and applying very soon. The problem is my brother applied since October and hasn't gotten any response and I intend to use same statement of account because he has moved on with his business. Now wont it raise eyes brows if I use that same account he used since is own application is still with them. Or I can use the same account for my statement and it won't affect decisions. He used Dad's statement. |

Frankrobbn1: Thank you very much for this. But in reality, I have no land to my name and little money in the bank. I'm a freelancer. And sometimes I go to my dad's office to help him in his business. (He has a manufacturering firm) I want to say I volunteer at my dad's firm and he will be the one sponsoring my entire expenses. He has a lot of assets I can show, but I have none. In this my situation, how do I construct a good SOP for avoid the "Personal asset and Financial status" issue, considering the fact that I have none? I just need an idea of how the SOP would look in my case. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by JustMellow: 2:21pm On Mar 21, 2021 |
OctGsam: Hello OctGsam, The onus falls on you to prove that their level of establishment in your home country is good, or strong. Supply documents that are substantial enough to drive the nail down the hole. Official gifts are very expensive, the more reason it must come with a receipt. Do well to include the Deed Gift. The LOE lays everything to rest. The implication is; show justifiable evidence that can prove your source of income. It will be a better idea if the origin of the funds is proven, if the funds will be coming from the other account, a curious VO may have high hopes to see evidence of how the funds came about. This doesn't mean it's a straight refusal, but to a certain extent, the application may tarry pending after when the officer makes a request for further information. How best to approach depends on you. I already gave my opinion on this, and so is Frankrobbn1 a well-standing fellow. For the house to advise further, you have to respond with a moulded choice from the options or advises dished out thus far. Best of Luck |
