JustMellow: IRCC are becoming strict on some applicants providing an IELTS Certificate before a decison would be made on their application. I have seen a case of such whereby the visa office in Nairobi made reference to their request via email response about the IELTS Certificate which is yet to be provided by the applicant. Apparently, the 20days processing times spelled out for applications under the NSE program are not been observed by IRCC. Although, there are a lot of applicants who have provided response to the NSE request on their inability to provide certain documentation and are still waiting for months, while some others who applied with the complete NSE package are getting faster feedback on their application. Hence, my suggestion that non-compliance in providing any of the requested documents, such application wouldn't be considered under the NSE program and might take a longer processing time. On the other hand, this doesn't have any effect on the visa officer's discretion. It will end in praise 1 Like |

benedictuyi: Most institutions in Canada wouldn't require a foreign national from Nigeria to show English proficiency. It is believed that Nigeria is an English speaking country and students were taught in English Language during their undergraduate studies. For the NSE program, IELTS is a mandatory document. You're also at liberty to opt out and advise in writing your inability to provide the requested documents. It will end in praise 1 Like |

RoyalDukeDon: You should provide a copy of the cheque which bears the details of the transaction. Also make reference in the deed of gift that the money was given through cheque. You need an affidavit and a deed of gift to support this claim. It will end in praise 2 Likes |

Allgoodies21: Given that you've completed a semester in Nigeria, its highly recommended that you should reapply as soon as possible so that your children would accompany you to Canada. A visa that will last until the duration of your program would be granted to your accompanying dependents. It will end in praise 1 Like |

iwble:I applied to the same school 2019 for fall 2020 and wasn't given a refusal letter or acceptance letter. I checked later last year and saw that my application is no more in the admission section maybe because the admission intake has passed and I didn't get a supervisor and all the ones I mailed that were related to my program didn't respond and I even called them but they didn't agree. Only one gave me another of option of mailing a supervisor in Guelph because that he was taking in students but I didn't message him. Please try to get a supervisor because if you have one ready to take you in the your chances of getting admitted into your proposed program is high |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Frankrobbn1: 10:38am On Mar 22, 2021 |
Mcilfero: From the wisdom of my vast experiences, I wouldn't advice you to apply with same account statement. You're trying to cheat the immigration system of Canada and when caught in such ACT, you may be found inadmissible to Canada for a period of 5-years. Consequently, my professional advice for you is to wait until your brother's application has been completed and a decision reached on his file. IRCC are a team of smart people and are quick to pick out irregularities on any file submitted to them. It's also possible your application goes to same visa officer processing your brother's file. Who knows? Please don't try it. It will end in praise 5 Likes |

I know about two people who applied in September and October 2020 for 2021 Fall Term - Law - Master of Laws -Thesis and they were told to wait till late March for a decision. Please bear in mind that LLM there does not require you securing a supervisor before being admitted. Securing a supervisor depends on the course you are applying for and the faculty involved. Getting a decision feedback also depends on the faculty. Did they tell you when their decision is due? If not, you may need to write and enquire if you think it's taking too long for comfort. Wishing you the very best. iwble: |
