since Nacho and Ndidi start their red boot partnership. It makes it easy to locate each other. The team gives Nacho ball now because they know he won't misplace it. that man u match ehh... Nacho shock me for that ball he brought down like Iniesta. see the way I shouted for viewing center everybody start to look me, I no fit hold back the joy wey I dey see and feel for my body. Goalkeeper gives Nacho ball once he pulls-out because he knows that magic fit happen with ball on Nacho's feet. ;Dsince Nacho and Ndidi start their red boot partnership. JohnBullMySon: My take is that we switch to a highly offensive 4-4-2 system similar to what Pellegrini did with Manchester City Pellegrini does not play with wingers but two creative midfielders taking slightly wide positions. I think Guardiola refers to it as the false 8 position. Leaving running lanes for the full backs to join the attack from time to time. This enables the false 8s, I prefer calling them false wingers to help supply the forwards ammunition. The position will clearly suit Iwobi. The roles Silva and Nasri played under Pellegrini. 2 Likes 1 Share

Samuel Chukwueze may not have gotten on the scoresheet or provided an assist for Villarreal in their 2-1 win against Cadiz at the at the Estadio de la Cerámica on Sunday but manager Unai Emery was pleased with the performance of his number 11. Goals from Gerard Moreno, from the penalty spot, and Carlos Bacca secured a win for the Yellow Submarine while álex Fernández pulled a goal back for the visitors. Chukwueze came close to bagging an assist four minutes before the interval but Bacca could not convert his low cross. In quotes relayed by Marca after the post-match press conference, Emery said : "In terms of game we have generated more attacks at the opposing goal. We have lacked something else of success in the last pass, Samu (Chukwueze) has been brilliant in the overflow but has yet to finish. "We have to rest and catch a little air for what is to come in the league and Europe. " Chukwueze has helped Villarreal rack up four consecutive wins in all competitions - two in La Liga and two in the Europa League. 1 Like |

charlesemeka85: I watched a bit of Chukwueze and I was blown away. His work rate is insane and his switching of wings is astonishing. So effortless. There was a time he passed the ball on the right wing and swtiched to the left. I thought it was a full back that overlapped. Only to find out it was him and he was back at the right again to create a chance. I am impressed with what Emery is doing with him. 2 Likes |

Well said my good friend. Now let me bring it home more explicitly. Iwobi to play to the Silva role on the left. Then Chukwueze to take up the Nasri role on the right. Up top, the Combo we have actually never tried but I have no doubt it would be a super click... Osimhen-Iheanacho. Then in the middle, Aribo And Ndidi (akin to Yaya and Fernandinho in one of your formations shown). The Back four will pick itself and Okoye will be in goal. The Iwobi-Chukwueze functioning as false wingers would suit the fullbacks we have like Zaidu who can effortlessly cover the left wing on his own and the likes of Ebuehi or Aina on the right who can bomb forward with those surging runs from time to time. This is the way Rohr should go in the absence of Samuel Kalu & Simon Moses and the inactivity of Ahmed Musa. I have a hunch that the same way the Emenike-Ideye combo up top gave Nigeria an Afcon win in 2013, we could see the Osimhen-Iheanacho combo rise to do same if we play it right. Keshi utilised a 4-4-1-1 approach at Afcon 2013 and in that set-up, we had Onazi, Mikel Obi and Sunday Mba as the Three midfield players who operated in very interesting roles. Victor Moses was the man on the right with freedom to roam and cause havoc across the final third. Chukwueze should be handed same keys to cause chaos. Ideye was the "8" playing in tandem with the top 9, Emenike. Iheanacho can pull that off in greater ways with Osimhen up top in the top end of the 4-4-1-1 as the 1-1 combo. Mikel was our Midfield Enforcer. A role Ndidi will take up. Mba was the lad who functioned further forward as the most advanced of the midfielders. Taking up dangerous positions in the final third and driving in from the space between the DM-CB lines of the opposition. This is where Iwobi steps in. The Onazi-Mikel combo will be Aribo-Ndidi. The 4-4-1-1 of 2013 sometimes morphed into a 4-3-3 when in attack and could easily be 4-4-2 as well. When off the ball, it could morph into a 4-5-1 enabling us to choke the middle and win the ball to relaunch another attacking strategy in a 4-3-3 or 4-4-1-1 set-up. Time will tell but there is boundless possibilities with an Osimhen-Iheanacho Combo. TheGoodJoe: 13 Likes 2 Shares |

This is the crust of the matter. Nacho play better as a supporting striker than as a lone striker. I think he should always play in his preferred postion going forward but it depend on the coach though. 2 Likes

8 key passes in a Championship game. 8!!!! That's wicked chances creation ability. Although Reading drew the game but just imagine creating such giant number of chances for the likes of Osimhen and Iheanacho or even the wingers in Chukwueze and Simon in one game. Registering at least 5 goals should be expected. Ejaria and Olise will instantly make the quality depth of our midfield tops once they finally make their debuts. Smartsmith0907... Keep eyes on and put pressure on those NFF guys to Super-Quicken this process or I vex for you. charlesemeka85: 5 Likes 2 Shares |
