The reason why Christianity is never violent, or engage the use of force or fear to spread is because it is anchored on the Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9;6

The gospel is all about the Love of God. John 3:16. God reaching out to mankind in love, saving and redeeming humanity by himself, and to himself. And this gospel is called the gospel of Peace.

One way we can effectively preach the gospel, is by living in peace with all men. 2cor13:11 This will be a testimony to the unbelieving.

This is what the Grace of God Himself said of your "Peace"

Matthew 10 vs 34-39

34. “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace. I came to bring trouble.[h]
35. I have come to make this happen:
‘A son will turn against his father.
A daughter will turn against her mother.

36. Even members of your own family will be your enemies.’
37. “Those who love their father or mother more than they love me are not worthy of me. And those who love their son or daughter more than they love me are not worthy of me.
38. Those who will not accept the cross that is given to them when they follow me are not worthy of me.
39. Those who try to keep the life they have will lose it. But those who give up their life for me will find true life.

If He, Jesus Christ, declared to you, that He has not come to bring Peace but trouble, what does that tell you of your idea of the following peace with all men?

It means that not even by the Grace of God, Jesus Christ Himself, will you be able to accomplish such a feat. So, your belief that you can follow peace with all men is flawed from the get-go.

Heb.12.14 - Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
If God say's we can, then we can. Yes some folks may try to provoke us, but we can still follow them With peace.

you err because you don't know the scripture's, nor the power of God. The Lord said in this world we shall find tribulations.....John.16.33 - These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

The scripture's you quoted is all about the offense's that will rise against those that believes on the gospel. Their brother's, mother's and father's turning against. But this won't stop the believer's because despite this turbulences, his peace remains in our hearts.

The peace He gives you is that which He gives you on the inside, peace that is not for, nor does it belong to this world. Did you really think you could find Jesus Christ contradict His own self as far as His declaration that He did not come to bring peace between you and the world?

Jesus Christ did not call His followers to follow peace with all men. He never said that... His peace He promised them but not to the world. So, telling people to do such is against Jesus Christ's own words.

I understand that Paul has an opinion of his own on the issue but his opinion does not overrule the very Word of God, not even 2000 years on.

Anyone who is a follower of Jesus Christ also knows that Jesus commanded His followers to love their neighbor as they love their own selves(showing even greater love to their enemies). And His examples we are called to emulate.
