Insecurity partly resulted from 12 northern sharia states adopting unconstitutional Islamic Sharia criminal laws. |

In the first place, tell us how you made your money and as a sitting vice president where you got the money from to establish a private university! Tell us where you see this done elsewhere in the world in all your travels. How come Tafawa Balewa, the Great Zik and the Sage Awo never build any university to their names? When the story of "modern" Nigeria shall be told, you shall have a pride of place as one of the greatest Tormentors of this benighted country. No amount of sweet talk can delete that fact! |

Insecurity is caused by reckless breeding. No economy in the world could absorb a doubling of population in 30 years. Anyone who says otherwise or refuses to speak on the real issue is part of the problem. |

Don't agree with evey point but I surely agree that we must put an end to the economy being a Contractors Paradise. There is something so inherently lazy about contracting that removes jobs from the many and places it in the hands of a few. This is particularly so when tjhe few are foreign enterprises. I do not think there is a global law or global body that will resist the influx of multinational contracting enterprises as this does not constitute global trade. If one does not have the resources and faced with huge deficits in infrastructure, supplies and services and at the same time faced with massive unemployment, it doesn't take a genius to determine where those scare resources should be going and who should benefit. 1 Like |

The type of corrupt and visionless leadership we've had since Gowon's era is the reasony we're here today. Unemployment is just one of the symptoms. Islamic fundamentalism was the 'final straw'. 2 Likes |

The insecurity challenges we are facing in Nigeria is as a result of the kind of politics we play in Nigeria. Some people boasted that, they will make the country ungovernable if they were not allowed to rule the country and at another time, they said; all the monkeys and baboons will soak in blood if they lose election.... Not just that, they brought in Fulani jihadist from other African countries, gave them guns and send them into forest with the mandate to go and take the ancestral lands of the inhabitants of the lands from them by force. Joblessness is not the reason for this kind of corrupt ideology insecurity we are facing in this country... It is purely political. |

I am worried with you guys comments on former vice president, Atiku Abubakar write up on rates of unemployment in Nigeria. Former Vice president, Atiku Abubakar is highly more experienced, exposed, business friendly understanding and rudiments know how. Takes it or leave it, Atiku is more prepared to rule this great nation than this JJC in Aso Rock that doesn't sound what happened globally in terms of International economy and diplomacy, unemployment, quality and qualitative education, sound and strategic financial management, globally acceptable practicable and enforceable rule of laws. Because what this nation needs is globally acceptable practicable and enforceable rule of laws is what this nation needs to move forward and directly shot certain sets of people out of power completely. If our youths can be funny employed, you would have been properly taken care off. In my understanding, by this time, Nigeria government is supposed to be Investing heavily on her human capital development ( HCD). HCD is part of providing an employment to the youths if we really accepted that our youths are the leaders of tomorrow. The ways and manners this government is managing Nigeria economy is bad and every Nigerians in respective of our religious, tribals and political affiliation should be concerned. There is no point of spending whooping USD 1.5 Billion to do a Turn Around Maintenance ( TAM) on Port Harcourt refinary more so when the refinary has not been making profits years back. However, when such huge amount of money can be used to build new refinary with same capacity, so I think our government under president Muhammad Buhari should urgently jettisoned the former and prudently consider the latter because both nnpc, the three refinaries are just a condit piple to steal our money. Why can't this government privatized these mentioned parastatas in a rasio of 50 / 50 percentage. Government sales off 50% shares and retaining the balance by Nigeria government so that government can have a say in the privatisation decision making process as suggested by former vice president in his numerous writes up. Then it would not be business as usual again for the people in Government and there cronies. Presidential system of government is always expensive to run wherever it is been practiced including Nigeria. But how be as it may, our government can cut cost by reducing cost of salaries and emoluments of the political office holders and channels the funds to our decaying educational systems, moribund health care delivery system, increase our foreign reserves and also invest heavily on our human capital development, Agriculture, Solid Minerals as well as infrastructure. Government should block all leakages where our funds and resources is being mismanaged and misappropriated. Finally, former vice president, Atiku Abubakar had been advising this government from the first day it came to power but for reasons best knowing to PMB / APC they proved uncertain. Although I agree with a philosophical that says you can't give what you don't have so is either PMB' and is teams don't know how to go about it or they are just being do non chalant atitudes. President Muhammad Buhari and is party has to urgently address Nigeria economy and rules of law because Nigerians are really suffering. I repeat, Nigeria urgently needs a practicable and enforceable rule of laws In place which naturally most of these problem would have been solved with laws in place. Simply because most of the government officials that was stealing Nigeria money and resources was seriously taking an advantage of non practicable and enforceable rule of laws in our Land. May God bless Nigeria. 1 Like |

The situation might get worst, Because many are waiting for the few to have their turn and......... The genuine youths have the power to change the way things are done, afterall the people in power are same people like you..... When we keep defending these criminals, it gives them power to steal more while majority are dying in hunger and complains ....... |

Alejoas: It's an insult to compare Atiku to Buhari. Although both of them are corrupt, the latter lacks even common sense. Running a country is like running a business. If you can grow your business into a success, you can manage a country. It's no rocket science. However, every leader must not have business management skills. However, that's why they have a team, both advisers and ministers. But then, Buhari just disregards competence and rewards politicians at the detriment of Nigeria, thereby worsening the economic situation of the country. 2 Likes |
