What will rorh do with omeruo and akpoguma when they are back ? I think awaziem will be dropped and akpoguma can't play right back again , going forward it will be interesting what rorh will do with the team

Akpoguma will start but I don’t know where he will play

With the way I am seeing ekong play i will rather have akpoguma then him in the starting 11

Good analysis but I will never dropped a young goalkeeper who made his WC debut in 2018 for average Okoye.I don't see much difference between the duo but with Uzoho experience i give it to him.

Okoye has not done anything spectacularly to displace Uzoho but has you said playing in Dutch league might be a factor and this factor is the only difference between Rohr and Clemens Westerhoff managerial style in rating player.

I remember Wifred Agbonavbare was doing well in Spanish la liga with Rayo Vallecano and Peter Rufai with Go Ahead eagles in Dutch league was the preferred choice.

Okoye has not done anything to be super eagles first choice

The reason why okoye is starting ahead of uzoho is because he is oyinbo

Is it not same okoye that was called up from division 4 ?

You really think Nigeria can beat Ghana? You guys are a bunch of comedians, walahi.

Thank God football is played on the field, not with mouth.

Go and ask your elders. The Super Eagles are wives to the dreaded Black Stars. If I ask you, when was the last time Nigeria beat Ghana, what will you say?

As Onauchu's move to Lyon gathers more momentum, with Sadiq already penciled down by Monchi, I just can't wait for summer, all things being equal, to have such options in our striking department as;

Osimhen - Napoli

Iheanacho - Leicester

Onauchu - Lyon

Sadiq - Sevilla

Then, others like Moffi, Maja, Awoniyi, Ugbo

Omo, like this, our opponents go dey pee their pants whenever we release list of invited players to prosecute a match, then, I go dey taunt my Ghanaian and SA friends grin

Umar Sadiq, who was named in the original 24-man squad for Nigeria's Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches this month, was on target to help Almeria register an impressive 3-0 road win against Malaga on Tuesday night.

The Rojiblancos established a two-goal lead inside 29 minutes courtesy of strikes from Lucas Robertone and José Carlos Lazo.

Sadiq was close to making it 3-0 but Alexander made a goal-line clearance after the Nigerian striker had beaten the goalkeeper to the ball and managed to hit a shot from an acute angle.

Few seconds later, the 2016 Olympics bronze medalist made sure of the win when he pushed the ball into the net from close range after a beautiful pass from Manu Morlanes.

Sadiq's 77th minute strike took his tally for the season to 23 goals in all competitions, with 17 of those goals coming in the colours of Ameria and six for Partizan Belgrade, where he started the season before his move to Spain in October 2020.

The former Roma starlet has directly participated in 30 goals this term and needs five more to beat his personal best of 34 (17 goals, 17 assists) he achieved in 2019-2020.

Apart from helping Almeria gain promotion to the top-flight, Sadiq's other target is to make his senior debut for Nigeria.

Normally,we should have like 7/8 defenders on one list. But Rohr will call up 10..

The midfield needs attention too..

The pitch was terrible.

I'm even wondering what kind of grass are we using for our pitches recently? Asaba,Benin city and Lagos pitch all look similar.. The grass look green but overgrown..not well trimmed....

Do you have any idea what specie of grass that is?

SADIQ Umar is still doing so well and Now here is me thinking how we are gonna do it ahead of the Afcon. Are we gonna go with Four Strikers or are we gonna add Iheanacho to the Midfielders list to make room for SADIQ to maintain the normal list of three strikers? (Provided he also impresses in the GWG).

As things stand... Osimhen, Iheanacho and Onuachu are our top 3 strikers. At the Afcon, these are the names I expect to see in the list as our strikers but if Rohr still has eyes on SADIQ Umar or Moffi or even Awoniyi then it could mean another slot could be created in the strikers' dept.

Time will tell. Just voicing out some thoughts on our attacking options.

To be honest, should Olise and Ejaria be fully cleared before or by the June games, then expect to see them named to the squad as long as they are fit and available. That's two midfield players coming in. An AM and another CM (who can also play CAM) respectively.

But ofcos time will tell. The Defence is really stacked and it will be a battle among them to see who gets dropped for the Afcon. They have the rest of the WCQs to show their stuff.

Shehu is likely not to be called up when Omeruo and Akpokugoma return. There's also rumors of the guy from Hertha Berlin coming, so I think Collins should be dropped, since Aina is double footed he can be drafted to the left back to assist Sanusi. Ebuehi and Awaziem can challenge for the right back, leaving the center back to Ekong, Omeruo, Balogun, and Ajayi.

Elder kog45 it been awhile on here ....but I hope you remember the fact uzoho is still recovering from his injury after the unfortunate injury against Brazil now working back to his normal self requires alot of work unlike okoye who has been fit and in form and his confidence level is still high considering his feat in Sparta ....uzoho over okoye anyday but the injury uzoho had, has brought truncation to his growth and his form so we better stick to okoye now till uzoho grows back in form and fitness and it not really easy on uzoho after being out for months.

At the bolded, in my opinion, I think that's just an excuse to strip him off the number 1. Uzoho is back to fitness and has being in good form for his club for the past few months. Heck, his stats are even better.

But then, this is just my opinion and the coaching crew has the final say. cool

you forgot to add terem moffi. for now strikers to the next afcon is uncertain though i am sure that osimhen will make the cut. jan is still far from now and few may rake up mouth watering stats while few may fall out of form
